Update July '23 Dodged the rain today by calling in for a burger, and not just any burger - a burger all the way from Rosscarbery and we'll worth the kidnapping of it. Totally worth it and highly recommend. The other main was squid and chips and not a rubber texture to be detected within the delicate crumb. YUM I finished with sticky toffee pudding, but really should have repeated my previous choice - lemon & poppy seed cake which cannot be beaten on that menu👍 Update July '23 Another excellent lunch today Fish and chips x 2 and a poppy seed and lemon drizzle pudding with vegan ice cream which was surprisingly delicious for the non vegan in me. The fish was beautifully battered and so tasty. Also a great coffee from the beautiful cafe next door (part of Cronin's) called 2 Point Street. Full bar service for those of you who need any drink under the sun. Thanks Denis and staff, a great treat👍 Update February '23 Called in for lunch today. 2x Fish Soups (lighter than chowder but no less delicious), Accompanied by an excellent toasted bread. Squid & salad, SO fresh, mushroom soup - ditto. Sticky toffee puddings and Brownies to follow. YES CHEF!! Young staff lovely and attentive. Upgraded ladies & gents toilets 5🌟 Don't pass it by. 2018:Great traditional pub at the end of the village. Drink and food served daily. Nice friendly staff in this quirky pub jammed with seafaring Memorabilia. Indoor and outdoor seating. Craft beers, great whiskey selection.

Amazing atmosphere. I can't remember the name of the lovely lady who served us tonight but thank you for the amazing food. Had some kind of ice cream/coffee combo that blew my mind (is this available during the day?). 10/10 would return

Traditional Irish Pub! The food is amazing! Even the chips (French Fries) are ridged for easy dunking into your favourite sauce. Decorations are beautiful and staff are friendly.. The live music on the day was fantastic! Only draw back was limited seating.. Our food was so good if you haven't eaten there yet then you need to go!

A quaint old pub, with rooms taller than a usual pub, so feels very spacious. Sunny, as well. When you’re there on a weekend, after 4 pm they add lights and tables out, and serve food - you have to order at the stall, and sit anywhere, and go collect it when the buzzer lights up. We had mussels with chips. Nice! The sauce might have been a little thicker though. The whole place crowded, so hard to find a seat (we were a group of 7). But overall, good craic.

This place is as traditional as you'll get them with the walls covered with photographs and all sorts of memorabilia everywhere, giving it this unique atmosphere you'd expect in an Irish pub. Nice range of beers on draft and a fair selection of whiskeys - tasting trays available, too. The food is superb. Only had the Mad Fish soup and fish and chips so far, but the latter I'd rank among the best I've ever had. Fish so tender it melts in your mouth, covered in a craft beer batter. On a bed of fresh garden peas with proper golden chips on the side and tartar sauce. Delish. Outside seating (with table service) is available right in the front, which is especially nice on a sunny day. I can only speak for the gent's restrooms, but the toilets are as clean as you'd expect it in a quality establishment.

Amazing place with a great selection of food and a fab little dining area that's so private I thought you had to book it. Atmosphere and service were incredible, love coming down for a relaxing dinner or a few pints alike

We did not expect such delicious and inventive food in a pub. I am sure the pub food is good, but we got the pleasure to eat in the café / restaurant side. Every dish was so interesting and delicious that we completely forgot to take pictures. Oh well, too bad, we will "have to" go back 😉! We had 4 "starters" / "large tapas" dishes, 2 main courses, 3 deserts, 2 beers and a glass of wine and the bill came to around €120 for 3 persons. For the quality and exceptional tastes, this is very well priced. Check opening days though (Thursday to Sunday).

OMG the OTofu wrap was to die for. Roasted vege and beans and tofu with a minty sauce. Best thing I've eaten out in ages. Well done!! My partner had great fish and chips but his omnivore choice was easily beaten by my very original wrap😍🤗

Lovely place. It is excellent that they have a separate coffee shop next to the pub. Have a coffee and snack followed by an envigorating walk, come back and have a refreshing pint in the pub, perfect afternoon .

Best pub in town. Beautiful location in the center of the village. Nice staff, lots of draft beers, even Weihenstephaner weizen(my favorite). Food is good, we have had mussels, squid and F&C but a bit expensive.

The fish and chips were gorgeous. As was the cauliflower tempura. I would give the fish soup a miss. A nice chowder would be nicer. One of the girls who waited on us was very nice and friendly. The bar itself is lovely, very old world and cosy.

Very nice place, cozy. The service could be better, there were 3 people behind the bar and still were struggling to manage the guest meal orders. I was little bit dissapointed that they dont serve chowder. The fish and chips portion was kinda small giving the price.

Great food. Had the salt and pepper squid and posh chips. The posh chips are just chips with cheese... They were okay. But the fried squid was amazing. Friendly staff provided good service.

Cronins is a traditional Irish pub which oozes character. It's layout with a number of discrete areas and the varied array of memorabilia creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are fantastic and there is no better place to drop in for a casual drink. This is especially so in winter when a blazing fire awaits you. The pub is in a beautiful setting facing the river front with Crosshaven House on the left. It is a real pleasure to relax in the outdoor seating area in the summer months. The best way to judge a place is by the number of locals supporting it and on this basis Cronins scores top marks. Cronins has long enjoyed a reputation for great local food, and in particular for it's seafood. While seafood is a speciality it is hard to beat it's hot soups, stews and doorstep sandwiches in winter. Bar food is top class and the Mad Fish restaurant in a room to the rear of the pub is the formal dining area. Cronins are deservedly included in the Michelin Eating out in Pubs Guide. You can find music here at weekends and there are also regular film screenings, art exhibitions and the famous Red Head Convention. The building which was previously Kenefick's Hotel has been owned and managed by the Cronin family since 1970. If you are a visitor to Crosshaven you should call into Cronin's at some stage and if you do I suspect a return visit is a likely outturn.

👍👍 My favourite spot for dinner no matter where I travel the anchor always tops it. The Flaming chicken wrap and steak tips are my go to dishes. I have also had the pleasure of working as part of the anchor team and I can honestly say the management made it so enjoyable and stress free I looked forward...
