Excellent hotel on the doorstep of Cork city centre. We were very well taken care of during our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food in the bar and restaurant was fantastic. We ate well and slept well. Absolutely no complaints. There is a good sized gym and swimming pool at the hotel. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the city centre. We parked the car on arrival in the underground carpark and then forgot about it for the rest of our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was probably the nicest hotel we have ever stayed at. The decor is stunning and the staff are so nice. The rooms are spacious and the bed was super comfy. We didn't even have a premium view and it was still gorgeous. Plus, it was so quiet; we didn't hear a peep from any neighbors or anyone in the hall during the entire 3-night stay, despite the fact that the hotel was fully booked. Housekeeping staff are amazing and so thorough; they even give you fresh bottled water every day. The food is also great. There is a separate space for breakfast and dinner, both of which are impeccably decorated. The continental breakfast by itself was plenty, but you could also upgrade to add-on a hot entree. We also had a delicious dinner during our stay, along with some amazing wine and cocktails. The location is also great; right near the college, and a quick walk to a bunch of good restaurants. There is on-site parking, although it is not free (but it was still nice to have the convenience). Overall, the feel of the place is just so high end and definitely five starts. We would come back in a heartbeat.

This hotel has the most gorgeous smell upon entering, it just makes you happy and feel welcomed. The staff were very helpful at Reception, we wanted a taxi to go back to our bus collection point and they ordered it for us. They also recommended some things to do whilst in the city. There are great views from the terrace and the floors have open glass spaces from where you can see right down the river. Rooms are clean and spacious. Only exec rooms have robes and slippers though which was disappointing. I have stayed at hotels in similar price range and these were included as standard. There is air conditioning which is amazing and the beds were comfortable. The pool was open and wasn't busy which was nice. Breakfast was included and the first day we didn't order hot food, just took in the continental buffet. Good quality and the girl who greeted us on first breakfast day was just lovely. Second day, there was a slight mix up with our cooked food but it was delicious. We also sampled the cocktails and these were excellent. The staff in the bar were helpful and friendly and we sat out on the terrace which has nice views. Overall location is good. It is a little bit of a walk to the city centre but it is flat and there are lots of good food stops along the way. It was super quiet at night because it is not on a main street and this was great.

Myself and my Mum stayed here last August. We were in Cork seeing a concert and the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful, making sure we had all of the information about the location of the concert and how to get there. The rooms were quite modern and fresh, a theme that is seen across the entire hotel. I would recommend staying here. Ps, the breakfast was amazing!

Called the hotel to book a brunch for 7 people and a baby. At first we were told they could not take bookings for more than 6 people but that the system was showing plenty of availability and we were encouraged to just walk in. The receptionist was nice and told me to wait see if they could book us in so I was put on hold. Then the story changed completely, they came back saying they closed the bookings for the day and all the sudden the place when from being quiet to "fairly busy". Basically we were told not to bother. My conclusion, this hotel is not family friendly and they just don't want prams and babies in their restaurant. Not happy at all with the fact they weren't honest from the beginning.

We had our wedding at the River Lee this summer and from start to finish, Lauren Hogan and the rest of the team were absolutely exceptional! They made everything so easy and stress free, they listened to what we wanted and did everything they could to make it happen, our families felt like VIPs all weekend long and most importantly we really had such great craic with all the staff. I have never been anywhere where literally every single member of staff has been this nice and helpful - from reception, bar, breakfast, housekeeping, etc - it was flawless!

Beautiful hotel, fabulous restaurant and bar, but Ryan at the front desk was the star of the show! We cannot thank him enough for his kindness and attention to detail. Would absolutely stay there again!

Wasnโ€™t a bad experience but it wasnโ€™t polished by any means. The room seemed to be missing at least 1 piece of furniture, it was weird, like a void in the room. Another issue was some very cool lights were on in the room with no switch. The only way to get to to turn off was to pull the key out of the room key holder dealโ€ฆ which turned off all power to the room including ac.

Absolutely fabulous service. From the front desk to the bar staff everyone super lovely and friendly!! Missed the name of the girl on the front desk (brown hair and glasses), but she is an absolute credit to the hotel ! So helpful with local pubs etc. Offered to store my suitcase while I went out shopping so.i wouldn't be dragging it everywhere

Stay there for one night. The staff is absolutely outstanding: from the front desk to bar staff, the staff is responsive and really helpful without being "over the top". Great breakfast with a nice selection of choices. Be aware that if you are staying in the hotel car park, there's an overnight 10 euros fee. Great stay overall and a convenient location.

Stayed here as part of our honeymoon road trip around Ireland. Staff were friendly and gave us a yummy box of irish fudge as a wedding present with a handwritten card. The food at breakfast was the best breakfast we had on the trip! It was perfect and good service. We wished we had time to use the restaurant, bar and swimming area but unfortunately we didnโ€™t. The gym looked amazing though! 4/5 on the room because it was a little dated in the bathroom. It would have been a comfortable sleep but the aircon didnโ€™t work great and it became quite warm. 4/5 on the service because whilst friendly it was a little mechanical. Weโ€™d stay again if weโ€™re back in Cork and be intrigued to try the hotels in this chain.

One of The Oldest and Most Famous Hotel of Cork. Have associated with them for many years through my Club which is Cork County Cricket Club as they were one Of Leading Sponsors. Still visit Liver Lee Often. Since place nice Service as Usual. Visited last week for Meeting. Conference room was top Class Ideal for Meetings and Perfect Environment. For everything else is good. But obviously its so busy so you can do any 100+ people booking. That shows the Class of the Place. Best of luck for Future. And Hopefully we will See you down at Mardyke Walk soon ๐Ÿค

Our stay at The River Lee Hotel last October was wonderful. The location was perfect for the short time that we were able to enjoy the City of Cork. The dining service was very good, and the bar service and atmosphere were equally enjoyable. I would like to point out the very much appreciated helpfulness of one particular staff member, Denis Murphy. Where others had tried to resolve an issue of locating a lost item, it was Denis who maintained contact and gave an extra effort that made for quite a relief when the items were returned to me. Sorry for the delay....but THANK YOU!

Stayed here because of a gig/event Guinness hosted that I was attending . The hotel is very nice and luxurious. The rooms are great and very comfortable and spacious with everything you need. We stayed in the executive king room. On that floor there was a lounge you could chill in and had access to beverages and snacks so that was great. The bathroom was very nice with a bath and shower and a big mirror which was great for getting ready. There were robes too ๐Ÿ˜ The staff were very nice and polite and helpful. We were helped with our bags which were carried up for us. The hotel location was great, not far at all from the centre and there was a take away across the road too. One complaint I have is the breakfast service which was quite slow, we had only ordered two coffees which took talking to 3 different staff to get. You also have to order your breakfast rather than it be continental which we did not have time to wait for. I would definitely stay here again if I was in town

My wife and I had an anniversary dinner this evening and we had a wonderful experience. The food was top quality and our compliments go the the chef and his team. We had an excellent waiter called David who presented us with two flutes of Prosecco when we sat at our table. David was very attentive and patient and he related our food requests to the kitchen. I had Dover Sole(off the bone) and my wife had a beautiful steak with sides. We pushed the boat out and had two beautiful desserts. Meringue and chocolate cake(sinful). David presented us with a lovely gesture of two luxury sweets on a plate with crushed white chocolate and Happy Anniversary written on the plate. All the staff we met from our arrival to our departing were very pleasant and courteous. David is a top guy so hold on to him for as long as you can. Compliments to all at The River Lee Hotel.

Some of the views from the hotel rooms are amazing. I enjoyed waking up to those views and my children found themselves memorized with some of the buildings facing the hotel, not to mention the river. The staff is great and go above what is great customer service.

We stayed here Easter weekend and could not praise this place enough. I know it's a 4 star hotel but compared to other 5 stars I've stayed at (and just on its own merit) it's a 5 star hotel with staff that more than match that. Before even getting there staff were trying to go above and beyond by helping booking things to do and dinner reservations both in the hotel and out. All meals we had at this hotel were beautifully presented and gorgeous to taste. Shout out to the chef Great pool area for both my wife and I and our infant. A nice and clean cot was provided in our room. The room was very large with a big bed. The cocktail bar was a huge hit for us once the kid went to bed. Big shout out to Megan and David in the Bar/Restaurant and also Lydia at breakfast. You three really made our well needed break so welcoming and enjoyable. Carly, Dylan and Finn ๐Ÿ™‚

Loved this modern hotel in Cork, Ireland. The hotel is modern, with spacious rooms and excellent restaurant. It offers beautiful views of the town and sits right on the canal. The River Lee Hotel also has professional and friendly service. I frequented the lobby bar and was provided expert recommendations from Adam and Quint.

Absolutely fantastic service at very stage! The hotel was very responsive to our emails before our trip and once we got there, everyone was so friendly and helpful. At breakfast (which we really enjoyed), one of the restaurant managers even printed off a map and gave us tips in where to go. We treated ourselves to a deluxe room on the executive floor... Rooms were very plush and loved the evening turndown service, with someone checking that we had everything we needed. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room were perfect for relaxing after a day of walking. Easy walk into town. Fully recommend the River Lee Hotel.

Excellent room, service and location. Two huge beds in a large sized room and bathroom with both bath and separate shower. All spotlessly clean with top class reception and concierge services. Will definitely stay here again.

The best hotel in Cork in my opinion, the location is amazing, quiet enough considering how busy Cork can be. It feels like you're on your own little island with the little bridge to get to the hotel. The team working there is fantastic, very friendly, welcoming, warm. The food and drinks are delicious. In brief, even when you're not staying in this hotel, if you're in Cork still give a try to their bar and restaurant (River Club - Bar food/little platers / Grill room + fine dining restaurant with a lovely menu).

We stayed here recently for a couple of nights. What can one say about this fine hotel, just ten minutes walk from Cork city centre. Wonderful, helpful staff. The service was second to none, the breakfast was to die for. The staff at breakfast couldn't have been more efficient. Nothing was a problem for them. Rooms were spacious, loads of TV channels, walk-in shower excellent. One small downer was some run of the mill drinks that we asked for at the bar were unavailable, but overall we will return. Go and pamper yourself here!

Good room, comfortable bed with good linen and decent pillows. Breakfast (even "just" the continental option) was absolutely fantastic - huge choice, great coffee and all delicious. Cocktails in the bar were also excellent - not expecting to have a great Margarita in Cork but the bartender proved us wrong ๐Ÿธ We'd stay again just for brekky!

Absolutely fabulous! I had an amazing experience of being looked after by Dennis at the reception when I came in absolutely devastated at 6 pm after a major disaster with the local b&b looking for a place to stay for the night. His approach was very professional and empathic. I felt safe and at ease straight away! He sorted it all out in 5 min! Thank you, Dennis ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Later on, I discovered that everyone I met was nice, smiling, and helpful. The magic happened in the restaurant during the dinner and breakfast with top class service. Rooms fab and clen. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Ireland with top-class customer care. I am coming back in November and looking forward to seeing you all again ๐Ÿ˜€

Fabulous hotel. Luxurious and good value for what you are paying for. Our room gave us panoramic views of the city of Cork and the River Lee. The TV in the room was huge and the bathroom suite include a shower and bath. The gym facilities are very modern and high spec. You were able to join classes from the hotel for free and I found this a nice touch. The restaurants served incredible food. We would recommend trying the Riverside restaurant and the breakfast service. The front of house for breakfast was the best service in the hotel. Very personable and took pride and care in making the customers have the highest standard of service. Please pass on our regards and commend his service. A great stay and will stay again.

We had been communicating with Lauren Hogan planning our June 8 wedding for almost 2 years. Shannon took over the last week when Lauren went on vacation but Lauren helped us arrange so much, including taxiโ€™s at the end of reception to begin our pub crawl. I cannot say enough positive things about both Lauren and Shannon, and the entire hotel staff we encountered, ensuring that our special day went smooth. We met Shannon the day of, to see the area and map out entrances etc. The wait staff was so accommodating and on top of things. I love the staff and hotel and will definitely stay there again on our next visit to Cork. Highly recommend!

We stayed for 2 nights and had a really enjoyable stay! Everyone was very welcoming. A big shout out to Mollie in the bar for her friendliness and attentiveness, she was super! It was lovely to have breakfast cooked to order and everyone was really happy with what they got. It is unfortunate that you have to pay for parking on top of your stay but we would still highly the hotel

  • 3/5 Ian D. 2 years ago on Google
No free on site parking for people making use of the services is a bit of a shame. Ended up parking over at Fitzgerald park for free. Service was good, promptly shown to our table. Orders were taken fast. Food arrived fast. Selection of non alcoholic cocktails was poor and overpriced. The burger was fine. The battered fish was odd, one piece had the skin left on the other did not. The deserts were nice. Floor surface was not level so the table and chair rocked

I did not stay at the hotel (as I live in Cork!) but for the restaurant; Laura was our waitress for our meal this Valentine's and she was so friendly and chatty, with very good attention to detail, and confidently spoke about what we couldn't decipher on the menu options. The atmosphere was so comfortable and the hotel is quite chic. Would really recommend for a special occasion.

This Hotel is one of the finest in Cork in my opinion when you weigh up cost, location and everything else. It's located near UCC and this provides a great springboard if you are staying as a tourist. As a business traveller, its extremely comfortable and clean. As a weekend break, its centrally located and near one of the busiest "going out" streets in Cork, namely Washington Street. Personally, it is a wonderful place just to meet for a coffee. I'd like to highlight one member of staff at reception, namely Rachel, who really was so friendly and professional to me when I passed through on a professional visit.

  • 5/5 Lisa M. 2 years ago on Google
I cannot praise this hotel and the staff highly enough. I was booked in for two nights with my Mum and a friend while getting minor outpatient surgery in a nearby hospital. So it was important to me to feel looked after and this is exactly my experience-despite staff not knowing our reason for staying. The hotel, including the room was spotless. The food was very good- the Eggs Benedict for breakfast is delicious! The decor and ambiance everywhere is attractive, cosy and inviting yet modern. And every member of staff was warm and friendly without being over familiar-professional to the last. A particular mention goes out to the lovely Helena at reception who gave us a late checkout and showed care and attention beyond expectation. The final, very thoughtful touch was a plate of petit fours as a welcome back to the room present following early morning surgery. I will stay nowhere else when I am back in Cork. Bravo everyone in The River Lee Hotel.

We stayed in the river lee. We got into some trouble in the car park. It was an issue with barriers. We rang the front desk And two of the men came down to help. Kelvin and John who were so helpful And couldnโ€™t do enough for us. Overall it was a really nice stay, lovely place and would highly recommend it.

My stay at the Fiume Lee has been really pleasant. I've spent three nights in the hotel and both the cameras and services were great. Very clean, good express breakfast, really nice catering for the events. Very small note: water pressure and temperature in the shower not allways consistent. Will definitely suggest

  • 5/5 Edy C. 2 years ago on Google
A really great hotel staffed by some of the best ( friendliest, efficient) staff, starting with Maria on the front desk, who made check-in what it is supposed to be... A non-event. The following morning breakfast was directed to our satisfaction by Andreas. Later that day we put both Ali and Lucas to the test with some demanding cocktails, their expresso-martini concoctions were truly excellent. A top class hotel, certainly on our 'must return' list.

Stayed here for 1 night - all the employees we interacted with (front desk, bar, house keeping, leisure centre, breakfast) were extremely friends and warm. We were surprised with a room upgrade which was a lovely gesture! Breakfast was delicious and very prompt. Very close to the city centre by foot along the river. Only downside was a โ‚ฌ10 overnight charge for the car park after paying โ‚ฌ300+ for a nights stay felt a bit much but not the end of the world. Will definitely return!

The River Lee Hotel is a perfect place to stay in the beautiful town of Cork. The hotel is spacious, the rooms are very comfortable, the river view is amazing and for the health conscious there is a fantastic gym. The staff are very friendly. The Bar is also very nice and has a great view. Itโ€™s also, very close to many restaurants and pubs. Would recommend this place to any one visiting Cork.

Very nice hotel. Lovely warmth inside, nice seating areas and all to a very high standard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was top class. Dinner was amazing and breakfast was excellent too. Staff went above and beyond making our stay special.

I've stayed here a few times and I cannot fault it on anything. From the moment you arrive at reception the staff make you feel special. The rooms are beautiful and luxurious. We also dined in the River Club restaurant and the food and service were exceptional. I wouldn't just recommend staying here I'd say if you're travelling to Cork city this is the place to stay cannot recommend it enough, cannot wait to get back again ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

Two night stay and we really enjoyed it. The staff are exceptionally friendly...every single person from check-in to the restaurant to breakfast. Absolutely commendable!! The service was excellent...you can be proud of all your staff. Breakfast was delicious too :) If there was one slightly negative comment to make, it would be that the piano singer was much too loud. A live piano singer is wonderful but we would prefer a much softer tone for a lobby area. All in all we were very happy. Would definitely come back.

Love this hotel ! Enjoyed breakfast here with my daughter recently on a lazy Saturday morning. Eggs Benedict cooked to perfection for me and the Smoothie in a Bowl for my daughter. Service was outstanding and the food delicious! Very relaxed feel about the place and I loved the way the server asked our names and called us by them throughout! Thank you! We will definatly be back.

We had the most wonderful experience at the River Lee hotel from check in with Ryan, bar staff, breakfast staff (especially the Portuguese girl serving) housekeeping, all made it more memorable. The attention to detail, the finer touches in the room were incredible. Breakfast was amazing. Cannot wait to stay again. Thank you
