Hotel looks really fancy from the outside but the rooms are very old and dated. Nobody answers the phone at the hotel, even on the "urgent inquiries" option which is both incredibly frustrating and very unhelpful. I'm only 6ft tall but my feet hung off the end of the bed. Service from the wait staff for breakfast and in the restaurant was great though. I wont be returning.

Only gets 1 star for the bar food quality and the friendly cleaners. Stayed recently as a family stay and it is anything but family friendly. Four of us stayed including two kids. However only two drinks in the room and two towels. Kids weren't acknowledged at all. Part of our deal was a picnic, however no drinks or sweets were in the bag which it clearly said was supposed,, and one of the sandwiches was chicken instead of the Tuna that was ordered.Staff are very young but could do with more training. Ordered dinner for 4 of us, however they were adamant I didnt order a main dinner. Which was rectified but not before they brought out my dessert before the dinner that they forgot. Kids only allowed in the pool at certain times. Chef at breakfast was nice first morning but was so rude how he spoke to us the second morning. Not as much as a have a nice day or enjoy your stay from the staff at reception. Asking for a glass of ice at the bar was like it was their own ice. I don't blame the staff for most of this, I blame the management, they need managing themselves. Not a great stay at all.

Let's start with the positives; Although the rooms are a bit dated, they were clean and comfortable the access to the pool, sauna and steam room was appreciated, very kind staff both at the reception and leisure center. Now the negatives: the TV in the room reminded me of the old days, no way to access any sort of streaming platform, incredibly peculiar choice of breakfast service, undertrained staff, a buffet style breakfast would be much more accessible to the guests, limited selection of breakfast foods, I'd suggest the full Irish breakfast.

The hotel on the outside was pretty fancy but the rooms were old and the tiles in the bathrooms were cracked. We had our dinner there and It wasn’t the best and I recommend not eating there and going somewhere else. The staff were ok, but our family won’t be going back.

Went for snack and coffee. Lots of confusion with the service. Staff very pleasant but need some systems in place. It was quiet and can't imagine what it would be like if busy. Nice terrace.

One night stay. Room size large and comfortable. Very happy that I could open the window. Very quite 5th floor. Only disappointment was the lack of hot water for a bath, it was lukewarm at best however the shower was excellent really strong pressure and lots of hot water.

We were invited at a dinner event. The service at the downstairs bar was ok. The service would have been better with a more smiling and polite barman. Upstairs, the drinks were much better served than last time. The food was nice but served at a military pace which didn't allow you time to enjoy it. You were asked to make a choice for anyone not sitting at the moment they came to take the menu... If you were a slow eater, your food was nearly taken off you.. totally not on at all. The elevators was suddenly stopped after a 9 pm, which caused an issue with some elderly people at the event. Thank god we were able to find the lift in the room side. Again I would love to have a decent explanation on the why. The decor is very much impersonal and would need an upgrade compared to Montenotte or Dean's. All in all, if it wasn't for the event, I would not go there.

Breakfast starts at 06:45! Surely for a hotel near Cork Airport, it should be MUCH earlier. How do the lights in the room work? (See photo). And, the lift has still not been fixed. However the cleaners, receptionist, and waitresses are all lovely!

My recent stay at this hotel was a major let-down. I had booked three rooms for a family event, the experience was far from what you'd expect from a four-star establishment. While two of the rooms booked were satisfactory, the family room was a major disappointment. The bathroom was in terrible condition, with mould , and the overall cleanliness was lacking. To make matters worse, the fridge in the room was not clean, and the carpets in both the hallways and bedrooms were dirty. The corridor leading to our room had a stale and unpleasant odour. The bathroom in the family room was outdated, with broken taps, toilets, and showers. This is unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be four stars. The check-out process was equally frustrating, with long queues and an overcharging error on my bill. It's evident that there are significant operational issues that need attention. However, there were a few redeeming factors. The manager we interacted with was pleasant and offered us a discount, which was appreciated.

Really lovely hotel. Room spacious, clean and warm. Really comfortable beds! Best hotel hairdryer I've ever experienced 😆😆Staff are lovely and very helpful. Really relaxed atmosphere. Leisure centre is great. Lovely wee kids pool. Pool very clean and great changing facilities. Breakfast was table service, food was good and staff were brilliant. I would definitely recommend. Lovely family friendly hotel. Great room, spacious, clean, loads of towels. Toasty warm!

Was only there for 1 nite. The few staff members we talked to were nice and friendly. The room initially looked good but when you actually took a look around the finish left a bit to be desired. Under the bed was filthy(only noticed as I dropped something that went under). Veneer on side tables was peeling of. How the door handle on the bathroom was fitted was ridiculous(handle was attached to plywood and that was attached to the door. The paneling around the bath was sticking out at one end with no effort to fit and finish it . The aircon in the room was so loud we had to turn it off and open a window instead then the window wouldn't close!! I could live with all these things in a cheap hotel but when your paying premium for a well renowned 4 star hotel...!! Also felt a bit buisnessey (not necessarily a bad thing) didn't see any families there just buisness men and women. There was 3 conferences on at the same time! The grounds and public places where nice and tidy presented well.

This hotel went above and beyond for us. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful as well as the grounds. Spotless and well kept. The staff from the minute we entered the hotel couldn't of been nicer, so polite, and nothing we asked was to much, they are so warm and welcoming. I would recommend that if down in Cork, to stay in this hotel at least once. A special thanks to Joanne and Josh for all they done. ❤️

Peaceful area, excellent pool and training facility, and lovely housekeeper. Room is comfortable, and restocked often with water, coffee and other essentials. The hair drier is stored inside the table and was hard to find.

Great hotel, very well priced i think €145 for a family room on a sunday night. mix of old and new lovely pool. the rooms were nice separate bath and shower nice and clean the only thing was it was a bit of a treck to the room up stairs and down lifts, bar was lovely nice pint the food in the bar was lovely but had to ask twice about our mains because it took 45 minutes to get it. all in all a really nice place I'd have no problem going back.

My experience at Rochestown Park Hotel was exceptional from the moment I arrived. The hotel’s location, nestled in a serene setting, provided a perfect escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The staff at the hotel were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel valued as a guest. Their professionalism and willingness to assist with any request left a lasting impression. The rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, ensuring a comfortable stay. The amenities provided, such as complimentary Wi-Fi and room service, added to the convenience and overall pleasant experience. The hotel’s dining options were diverse and of high quality. I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals served at their on-site restaurant, which offered a delectable blend of local and international cuisines. During my stay, I had the opportunity to explore the hotel’s facilities, including the fitness center and spa. The well-maintained fitness center allowed me to keep up with my workout routine, while the spa offered a rejuvenating experience that was worth every penny. Rochestown Park Hotel also excelled in hosting events. The conference facilities were well-equipped, making it an ideal venue for business gatherings and functions. Furthermore, the hotel’s commitment to health and safety protocols during my visit was commendable, providing an added sense of security. Overall, my stay at Rochestown Park Hotel was nothing short of delightful. The combination of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and a peaceful ambiance made it a memorable experience. Whether for business or leisure, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the area.

Really enjoyed one night here after a visit to the crematorium. Huge hotel with space for stacks of events. There was a debutant ball happening when we were there. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food portions were huge and room was spacious and comfortable. Would've liked to stay longer!

Me and my partner have came here 3 years in a row now, the room was lovely the food isn’t the best. The previous year and this year we have been woken with the hotel alarm which frightened us out of our sleep during the hours 11pm and 1am and no one notified us if it was serious or not.

A real middle of the road hotel which is fine but not worth the money. Stayed one night in a family room, fine size for one night. The hotel itself is very big and a bit of a labyrinth full of conference and meeting rooms, but oddly doesn’t seem to have a nice stand alone bar. The leisure centre is fine but old and worn, lots of broken lockers, showers, cracked titles etc. The hours for a family are too restrictive and the kids were disappointed. Kids have to leave at 630 (we only checked in at 545) and can’t go until 9am. Seems a bit unfair! The food was very nice in the restaurant, not cheap, but good, apart from the pizza which was very cheese heavy and salty, which some people like. Breakfast was decent but not a buffet which again was disappointing as they like choosing their own things, but the waiter was good. The staff were friendly.

I recently stayed here. Good room, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is table service, the food is delicious and arrived quickly. I think you need a car to stay here, it’s close to Douglas village shopping centre, and the city centre is about 10 mins drive. The carpets are worn in places on the stars, but happy to stay here again.

I didn’t stay at the hotel but we had dinner in Suttons bar on New Year’s Eve There are 2 new managers there and they are so professional and friendly. They treat guests like they are welcoming you to their home Every adult in the restaurant was offered a glass of Prosecco. What a nice touch. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely evening I would definitely recommend this hotel

Great hotel in Cork, with amazing food and staff. The hotel has great parking and the food is lovely and the breakfast is beautiful and really great value. The staff are lovely and the women who served us this morning was amazing and so helpful, friendly, very welcoming and amazing at her job. Her name started with B, I won’t post her name publicly but I want the hotel to know who it is because she was great. It’s really great when there is amazing staff at places.

We booked in for 1 night. Room was too big and nicely warm. Everything that was needed was provided on time. The only thing is it’s out from City centre if you need anything you have to take our car. There is nothing on walking distance with kids. Rest the hotel was superb

I went to the Leisure Centre as I had booked a full body massage but the girl has limited English at the leisure centre and said that I could not use the pool beforehand and was trying to sell me 6 passes to use instead. I was trying to explain to her that I was not interested as I am a member of another pool. Eventually she got another person from the office. I found this stressful. Hayley the girl who gave me the massage was excellent and the massage bed had a heated under blanket and gentle music. She gave me a lovely relaxing massage. My friend and myself went to the restaurant. We were going to be put under the television but the manger moved us to a quiet table over by the window. I had seafood chowder, homemade bread and chips with cheese and korma sauce tasty food and my friend had vegetable tacos and she enjoyed her food.

Stayed recently to attend a funeral, the hotel staff were very kind and helpful, especially the lady at reception. Beautiful rooms, great food, they made my stay much better than I had expected. Cannot fault them, absolutely fantastic staff.

I have only eating here but its a beautiful hotel, food is great, the staff were brilliant when we had our wedding anniversary here. I live quite close so thats the only reason I haven't stayed there..Ive only heard good things though..great hotel to throw a social or personal party / event

Was there for a funeral reception. Food and staff were lovely. Toilets though were very far away for a lot of the elderly guests. Had to negotiate 3 different stairs. There should be more accessible facilities for funeral guests as you can expect several elderly people.

Fantastic Hotel would highly recommend it. There is so many places in the hotel to have a bit of peace and quiet should you be after that. And outside is nice on a fine day. Close enough walk to Douglas Village also. The food is spot on and the staff couldn't do enough. So have a look at this hotel and you will see what I mean. Hope this helps.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. Lovely swimming pool. Bedroom was very nice but the smallest bedroom iv ever stay in. For dinner I had fish and chips which were over cooked. Breakfast was good however I ordered toast and never got it. There was also a car parked overnight in a disabled parking bay without a permit.

We met our parents and uncle for something to eat. We were too late for breakfast which was perfectly fine. So we decided to have lunch while my parents only wanted tea and toast. We were sitting outside as the weather was lovely. We were told that we could not eat outside. That if we wanted to have lunch we would have to go inside. We could eat breakfast outside but we were too late for that. We could however eat tea and toast or a scone outside. My parents and uncle had already started their tea and toast and we would all have to move in if we were to have lunch. This to me is a crazy rule. Why would you have a terrace and not be allowed to have lunch there. I asked for an explanation but was told that he does not make the rules.

The hotel was great. We stayed here for 2 days, good amenities. The staff has been very helpful and quick with resolving queries. Room was spacious as well. We took the family room. We were also able to get the baby cot on short notice. The in-house restaurant is good too, just a little expensive. The hotel is a little secluded, so you’ll need a car to get out of you need anything at night.

Stayed 7 days and l can say that elevators never work, you have to use stairs most of the time! housekeeping starts vacuuming 8am and wake you up from the next door. Cleaning is fine. You cant open your eyes because of the chlorine in the pool.

Recently hosted a function here. Staff were excellent and very entertaining and engaging. Was nice to see people behaving naturally. Food was very good. Location is handy if you have a car and there's lots of parking. Can be a bit awkward to get to if relying on public transport.

Great service, carvery dinner and the restaurant food is very good. Portions are large also. Pool and gym are good to burn off those calories from the restaurant too. Gym is a little dated but has everything you'd need. Could do with a little music in the gym or else make sure to bring your earphones!

Attended hotel for after funeral meal. I must complement the Chef, waiters, and person in charge for the beautiful Dinner of Turkey and Ham, cream potatoes, and Vegetables. It was hot and well served. It is definitely a beautiful hotel and great staff. Could not ask for more, Thank You.

The hotel had poor accessibility. Service was average - could be warmer and act quicker to requests. Rooms were not very clean, foul smell in the room from the bathroom and linens had holes in them. Overall, it was a very average hotel stay. I would not stay again.

Stayed in the hotel recently. The rooms are good, staff nice, food was great. We decided last minute will stay for breakfast so paid it at the reception night before. It was ok but a bit overcharged . For an 18 months old baby the breakfast was 10 Euro. I think it's a bit too much. Went to the pool with kids after breakfast thought will enjoy it for a while and my lunchtime we were told it's adults only. I would understand adults time in the evening, but through the day in the family hotel sounds no to family friendly.
