Lovely place for a dinner with family or friends. Staff is great, friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious and portions are generous. I found cocktails to be a little bit expensive. That was our second visit here and we will be back again ... 😊

We were in the area for 24 hours and we came here for dinner twice - that's how much we enjoyed this restaurant. Very accommodating for our group of 6 + baby. The Featherblade was lovely. And very nicely decorated for the holidays

The portions were decent. Loved my starter which was ham hock and chorizo deep fried balls. The salmon was not too bad either just very filling with the rich sauce. Overall, it's a very crowded place if you're looking for a quiet meal. Loved the restaurant from the outside and inside. Unfortunately, we were seated on a round table somewhere in the glass area where it made it impossible to have a conversation with anyone because we were so far across from each other. Not a bad place if you were going with a bunch of friends for a few drinks and a bite.

Lovely restaurant. Nice staff. Good food. We had a very nice time at this restaurant after a disappointing day at Fota. We had a great carvery lunch and a nice kids meal. The chicken wings were good as well. Recommended for sure.

Absolutely love the Elm Tree, has to be the best restaurant in East Cork. The service is excellent and the staff are very welcoming and always do their best to accommodate. The food is delicious and never disappoints. I've always had a great experience every time I've eaten here. I think the Elm Tree is going to be my new go-to restaurant!

The Elm Tree restaurant was recommended to us this evening in our search for a local family friendly restaurant when visiting this area. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about this place. The decor and atmosphere, the staff and the food were all an absolute Ten out of ten. We are here for another few days and will visit again at least once. The Elm Tree should be used as a national example of restaurants done right. If you opened in North a Kildare I would be one of your best customers. 😄 The staff were so kind to out children also. The baby bowl was delicious, when that arrived I immediately knew that our food would be excellent also. Our toddler absolutely devoured her meal and that is also a rare occurrence. The people of Glouthane are very lucky to have this restaurant.

Food was spectacular! The braised beef in particular. Staff very friendly. Couldn't fault it. Even better than I remember!

The food is amazing here and great value. Quick and professional service. Staff were attentive and food arrived fairly quick even though it seemed quite busy in the place. Would definitely visit again if we're in the area again.

We went out for an impromptu lunch, on confirmation day. what were we thinking? Well,let me tell you the service was great, prompt and helpful.despite not having a booking and them being thronged we had hardly any wait time. The food as expected was delicious, if there was an award for onion rings they would win it. Do I wish I'd had space for a desert, of course I do they looked delicious.

A fabulous experience. Three of us went for Sunday carvery and it was gorgeous! A long queue but it moved swiftly and was really well organized and the food was well worth waiting for. Lovely atmosphere and great staff. I highly recommend it.

This is our third time in the elm tree and a first with the full family. 2 adults and 3 kids. They fitted us into dinner service even after we canceled our lunch time booking. It was a pleasure from the start as all of the staff were very helpful and friendly from the moment we Walked through the door. The food was delicious and well priced. Very happy as a family and couple visitor's and will be back again. Merry Christmas

It was 30th December when I visited Elm Tree, lovely Christmas atmosphere, playing Christmas music when it was still Christmas and the food was excellent. The staff was welcoming, helpful and smiling. Will definitely go back and recommend to friends.

I've eaten here several times now over the past 6 or 7 years. Usually with business dinners. I go because its convenient but the food is not great. This time I brought my grown up family for an evening meal against my better judgement. I think the Elm tree is riding off a reputation it doesn't deserve anymore. The food was very average, the vegetarian dish was below average. Unfortunately I think this will be my last time visiting the Elm Tree.

We went in with a wheel chair user and it was my first time. The manager on shift asked us to join the line for the carvery lunch as he sorts out a wheelchair friendly table for us. This shortened our wait time. Despite it being a busy time, we got a table fairly quickly. The staff did not rush us to make our choices and were very attentive through the meal time to make sure the wheelchair user with us had a comfortable time. Even the patrons were very accomodating to us ...all in all in was a very pleasant experience...thank you.

Wait is too long. We waited for a coffee more than 25 mins while we saw our waitress having a good talk with other colleagues. Water was never brought to the table until we asked for it. After the meal was served we had, Nobody check in and water was needed again. We will reconsider going back, even thou the restaurant is very nice and food is good but the service… 🤯

We celebrated our son’s birthday today at the Elm tree. I can not rate the staff, food, atmosphere and menu, desserts and cocktails, highly enough. All staff is excellent, polite, very accommodating, friendly, professional and well trained. Thank you very much for making my sons birthday so very special today!

When booking I requested to be seated in a quiet area due to the fact one of our group wears hearing aids. We were given the perfect table. We had a lovely evening. Thank you very much.

Stayed recently at Fota hotel for a week with two young kids. Ate dinner in The Elm Tree 4 out of the 7 nights. Have to say this place is top class from start to finish. Very friendly staff and food is fabulous. Would recommend 100%.

Set menu. Efficient friendly staff. Really good food in large portions. Always bustling but well worth a few minutes wait for a table.

Love going here either with company or on my own. Staff are friendly and attentive without being overpowering. Food is always delicious and they have both a carved or a sandwich menu. Highly recommend.

I went here tonight with my boyfriend and his parents and what a great night we had. The food was amazing! Our server Patrick was fantastic, he was polite and absolutely hilarious we had such a laugh with him. He always made sure we had everything from drinks to food. He is an absolute credit to you all at the Elm Tree, make sure you pass our thanks on to him.

We went out for an impromptu lunch, with few colleagues who visited us from Dublin surprisingly. Despite not having a booking , we hardly had any wait time. The food was very delicious, and very good. Overall, very positive experience. The staffs are so helpful and welcoming.

I went in Midweek for a bite to eat with my family to celebrate by daughters birthday. No booking but they were able to find us a table. Service was excellent, and although they are currently renovating you wouldn't have known. Restaurant is stylish and comfortable. Food was really good, we left full and the value was great. Their fish and chips is the standard that most restaurants should aim to follow. I look forward tp returning and tasting more of their menu.

Great ambient, delicious food and brilliant staff!!! I would give more stars if possible! We had confirmation dinner there, everything was just perfect, they even left a gift with the card for our son. Thanks so much guys, you're doing a great job!

Food was lovely. Found it a bit expensive though, asked for a bit of side salad instead of peas with my fish and chips, cost an extra 4€. Asked for a pint of water with cordial and was told they couldn't serve it in a pint glass only a jug, got the jug, 3€! Again I couldn't fault the actual food it was very tasty and a very good sized portion. Beautiful desserts and plenty of it

Beautiful setting in the Conservatory. Tasty food and catered for all different needs of 3 people. Our server was extremely polite and helpful and I really couldn't recommend her enough. Wish I had her name as she deserves the credit for such good customer service.

Sitting on this restaurant gives you the feeling of being in a 5star restaurant. The food is so delicious. Definitely recommend. Perfect for a romantic dinner and the request we made via online booking was clearly noted and delivered.

We were a party of 9 at the Elm Tree tonight and all I can say is it was fabulous, amazing. The Christmas decorations were beautiful we had a table near one of the trees and we all felt like we were in a Christmas wonderland. The food was delicious so tasty, with great presentation. The staff well what can I say it is they who truly make this place special. They were kind patient helpful efficient. A huge thank you to Eoin for all your help and really understanding our needs.

Had yet another fabulous family occasion at the Elm, Confirmation this time. The service top class... the food... while never a bad meal here yesterdays was on another level. Not a morsel left on the plates. Thanks to all associated with this Gem on our doorstep

A bank holiday Monday really busy great atmosphere about the place. Inspite of the fact that they were busy we weren't long waiting and got excellent service as did everyone at the tables around us. The meal was beautiful and well presented. The worst part was trying to decide on what to order. Will have to return to try some of the other meals on offer.

We had a beautiful meal last night with Family, I had the chicken satay salad for starter & it was the nicest chicken satay I've ever had. I asked for the recipe for the sauce 😁 but sadly I didn't get it 😢 😉 when I go again I will have it for main course. We all enjoyed our food & drinks & such lovely staff. Thank you ❤️ we will return again from Tipp 🇺🇦

Went on a Sunday for lunch. When we arrived the queue looked about 50 miles long😞 but it actually moved quite quickly and the staff dealt with everything very efficiently. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. Would definitely go again.

This was a gourmet delight....starters and mains were absolutely delicious. The staff, namely Hazel and Keith were very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was great.it was a Tuesday night and the place was absolutely hopping. We would go back again tomorrow it was so good! Thank you

Absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. Live music, amazing tastes, very efficient and hospitable staff, beautiful interior, ample parking. Everything we ordered was exquisite. I highly recommend the vegan fish and chips, you'll be pleasantly shocked at the taste and texture.

The restaurant was buzzing, lots of people celebrating events. Great choice, the starters were very generous, the salad was nearly the size of main course. I had the duck which was totally over cooked, but i was delighted with the plentiful amount of roast veg and garlic type potato. I was being treated so couldn't draw the waiter attention to the duck, i feel they would have dealt with it if asked. I am going to try it next time. So full after starter and mains couldn't try dessert but they looked lovely.
