We had a great family get-together in Man Friday, and we all enjoyed the food and drink. The atmosphere was good with so many of us at the venue.

5 stars all the way. Great selection on the menu. The food was amazing. DH had soup and black sole on the bone. A pricey 41.95 but worth every cent, he said. I'd the deep fried brie and salmon. The brie was perfect. One of the nicest balanced dishes of that type. Sometimes there's too much brie and not enough of everything else to balance it but that was not the case here. Between the jammy sauce and cucumber it was just right and simply perfect. The salmon was excellent too but I'm not 100% sure that the turnip confit was best with it. I'll just have to try it again. Service was excellent and they were so pleasant despite being so busy. We got 2 desserts and a 1/2 bottle of wine which came to a reasonable 120 euros, reasonable because it was SO GOOD.

One of the Best restaurants in Kinsale I must say. Food is extremely delicious and is worth every penny. Staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The athmosphere is lovely and it was just chill out! Highly recommended!

Oldest restaurant in Kinsale is what I was told , was not disappointed. From being greeted to the nice table outdoors with a view and fireplace were just great. The food also was fresh Sea Food . I had the Seafood Chowder and the Black Sea Bass .

The food was top notch. We had scallops & the pork belly. & the rains came crashing down. After waiting for a cab, the restaurant's owner drove us home. The wine list needs to be updated to reflect what's available

Fabulous meal! Not cheap but definitely worth it if you want something special. 💜 The steak, the fish all beautiful and the sides were fabulous!

Really busy and with good reason. The food was made from high quality ingredients and was prepared perfectly. Chowder was rich with loads of seafood, and creamy while still tasting fresh. The salmon roll with prawn had generous amounts of juicy prawn. The lobster was cooked perfectly, as was the beef fillet. The wine list was on the mediocre side, although there were a couple of gems. Prices were on the higher side, although probably normal for Kinsale. Service was great.

Highly recommended during your stay in Kinsale. The starters are very good and the scallop/sea bass ceviche and the lobster bisque were standouts. We opted for the seafood options when it seemed that other tables opted for the steak. We will come back!

Lovely place with an epic view. Food was amazing, had the lamb rump which was one of the best I have had. Cannot find fault.

Excellent food and service from the team at Man Friday. Prices are on the higher side of comfortable (for me!) but it's worth indulging every now and then right? We were seated inside and while the restaurant has a nice ambience, there was a rather cold breeze coming through the restaurant...(made me wish I'd brought warmer clothing! ) That aside, it was a dining experience to remember. Recommended.

Well, a group of 9 of us came to man Friday tonight and we just had the best time. The wonderful and kind Sophie took excellent care of us with her broad knowledge of the menu and great manner. We could not recommend this place more and we will be back.

Really good food made to a really high standard. Fried Brie was so yum, and the steak was done very well as well. Couldn’t fault it on anything!

What a meal all 4 of us had. If you're there to order before 1830, you can choose the early bird menu, which is 3 courses for around 41 euro. For starters between us, we had deep-fried brie with salad, which was completely spectacular . Leak and potato soup and fish chowder, which were both so tasty. For mains, we had sirloin steak, which must be the best steak I have ever eaten. So tender and tasty with a lovely rich peppercorn sauce . The grilled hake was amazing and the pork belly, so well presented, was large and tasty. Along with the meal we had the home baked bread, which was so lovely we had more. I can't wait to go back again. Next time we'll be sure to book ahead and hopefully get a lovely outside table overlooking the harbour below or if its a bit rainy and cold maybe one of the inside patio tables with roaring open fire and similar views. We didn't try the desserts as we were too full. But what we saw carried past us to other tables looked amazing . I can't speak more highly of this restaurant. If you're near Kinsale, it's a must visit.

Fantastic place for dinner! The seafood chowder was delicious, and I highly recommend the black sole for dinner. Best seafood I’ve had in all of Ireland. They also had very good vegetarian options. Do not miss this spot!

We come to man Friday every time we come to kinsale and it’s the highlight of our food ! Each time it’s just next level ! We had black sole and salmon this time and it was easily the best fish we have had ! Staff were brilliant as always ! Can’t wait to come back again.

Food is absolutely excellent and fresh. However it is a pity nowadays that vegetables are not included in your dishes and that you have to order extras! The table serving is quite rough : pulling unfinished plates and drinks. When making a reservation make sure to ask for a specific table. We were seated in a back room cornered near the waitresses’ headquarter : it was awkward, noisy and cold.

A friend recommended Man Friday, and my wife and I loved the experience. We went on the early side for the three course dinner. It was some of the best seafood chowder I’ve had and my wife couldn’t stop commenting about how good the pork belly was. The nest dessert with ice cream and jam was lovely as well. We both felt is was one of the best meals we’ve had since being in Ireland for over a year. I’d highly recommend Man Friday. The service was exceptional and everybody seemed to be full of life.

From the moment we stepped inside Man Friday restaurant we had a wonderful experience. We didn't have a booking last night but Katie had a warm welcome and found us a table for three. We ordered the early Bird menu. The beautiful homemade treacle brown bread was absolutely delicious. Starters of seafood chowder and chicken liver pate were divine. Main courses were two hake on a bed of risotto and our friend had chicken supreme with mushroom accompaniement and mashed potato. For dessert we had Apple crumble, and two servings of meringue nest with raspberry coulis all served with vanilla ice cream. The staff were very busy and very polite and friendly. Our server was Damien and he was very helpful and service was outstanding. He told us that Man Friday deli is a sister company based in South Mall in Cork City and the brown bread can be purchased there. Overall a five star experience and will definitely be back. Thank you Man Friday.

Best meal we had in Kinsale. Service is friendly and efficient. The ambiance is modern yet cozy with amazing views overlooking the water and the town beyond. The tasty appetizer was a lightly breaded brie with a salad and nut mix. The hake was cooked perfectly with crispy skin and served hot atop a creamy risotto with a basil oil drizzle and a parmesan crisp. It was delicious and fresh and creamy and comforting all rolled into one dish. The only odd thing was paying up by where you initially check in. There were people waiting to pay. People waiting to be seated. People going into the bathroom. People coming out of the bathroom. It created a bottleneck. There must be a reason for this procedure, but it took away from the dinner experience. Ironically, the cheapest meal we had in Kinsale, but definitely the best, so I'm discounting the paying process as an odd fluke.
