Camden and Crosshaven are lovely places around Cork. It would be nice to spend a day if it's sunny. I wouldn't mind going to this place over and over again.

Camden Fort is a good place to go if you have a couple of hours to spare. They have done great work to get it to the standard that it is.

Camden Fort unfortunately has been closed last year and this year due to the pandemic, but the views from this height and this direction are amazing. Would recommend to come up for the views alone. The bus stops directly at the Fort and if you plan to walk up, it's quite hilly.

What an absolutely fantastic day out for all. Opened today after two years closed. Great weather, friendly staff/volunteers. Lovely food. All in all it's a 5 out of 5. And it's a must visit this summer.

Small but as enough to strecth the legs. Amazing views over Cobh and Spike island. You can just seat there and enjoy the views, lots if boats around and also the ferries

Great day out. The underground tunnels are amazing. There many volunteers all over the fort to help you with information. There is a good bit of walking involved to cover the whole area and there are quite a few steps around the place so good footwear would be advised. Great scenery out to sea too. Around fabulous place.

What an adventure of a day!! Lovely tea rooms and a beautiful location overlooking Cork Harbour and steeped in History! Also the film location for RTEs “ Hell Week “

Its has some great views but overall as a Fort structure, I think nearby Blarney or Charles fort (kinsale) have more to offer. The volunteer guides are the best though and make the experience memorable.

Coastal fort originally built back on 1550. It offers a great view of the ocean and of Cork harbour, Europe's largest natural harbour. The fort is maintained by a group of volunteers and the fort hosts various historical shows and events.

It is a focal point to starting your visit to West Cork, spectacular views of the Atlantic flow IP into the World's, second largest harbours. It was the final departure point of British forces from the Republic in late 1930's, and in wonderful village of Crosshaven. A must.

Great day out, very affordable, tour guides were outstanding, very knowledgeable, lovely seated area out the back with brilliant view of Cork harbour, well worth a trip.

Great project to restore a bit of history. It is however quite limited in what you can see, most areas are "out of bounds". Costs €5 each, and you could be done in 45minutes easily. More restoration certainly needs to be done. And while I appreciate all staff are volunteers, they were less than accomadating to my group, shouting at us for going up a hill we weren't supposed to - even though there was nothing to say this was the case. Grand for one visit, but you wouldn't be rushing back at all - enjoy the seaside by Crosshaven instead!

Great fort to visit. The volunteers do a brilliant job bringing this treasure back for us to visit & take in how majestic this place once was.The first time I was here it was closed,in ruins & dangerous but bow every year there's something new restored or open to the public.Theres a cafe with a balcony overlooking the harbour entrance worth the entry price itself. Some of the rooms have exhibitions, the latest one a World War I trench diorama. The spiral staircase from the magazine room is beautifully restored.Well worth a visit if your in the area!
