A beautifully kept public park. Neat, tidy and home to Cork public museum. An 18 acre, large city centre attraction, you should definitely pay this park a visit. If you are looking for a peaceful stroll by the river, a wild session in an ultra modern playground, a relaxing picnic or a game of football with the kids, this is the place for you. Gorgeous flowers and trees, very interesting structures and monuments and statues. A seat by the stunning river Lee. A coffee shop and bakery. Need I say any more???

The park is beautiful.. The part I enjoy the most is just being able to sit there, in front of the fountain and read and admire the surrounding (water sound, birds, families, ...)

One of the most beautiful Parks in Ireland for sure. Is near to the centre city, and have a huge space for any kind of outdoor activities, it also have a big playground for kids.

During our visit to Cork Fitzgerald park left me mesmerized. This park is a haven of natural beauty, featuring stunning trees, vibrant flowers, a fantastic play area, and enchanting fountains all along the river. This park offers more than just beauty; it also provides clean facilities and well-maintained pathways. It's a perfect retreat for nature lovers, families, or anyone seeking peace along the river. If you're looking for a serene escape amidst natural wonders and fun-filled activities, this riverside park is a must-visit.

The park was on our way from Cork City Gaol Museum to University College Cork. We didn’t know that the park was famous. The park is not big enough since it is in a residential area. Its uniqueness is its existence on the brink of the river.

A nice place to kick back and relax on one of the benches with a nice view of across the river. Be sure to find the hidden “fairy doors” at the base of the various trees.

Nice park in the middle of the city. The location is central but it's very calm and not noisy at all. I wish they have more seats or picnic tables under the trees, that would be delightful during the spring or summer.

Nice place for a walk, or spending time with family. I was told in summer every week some events take place there.

The park is big and the scenery is nice. With a lot of benches. There is also a museum. It's free. The view of crossing the bridge is very good.

Best Park in Cork. Very near to City centre (walking distance) great for picnics and school trips. There is a museum here and also a smaller artist exhibition just inside the gates in a smaller building but the park itself is the star attraction. Interesting walks everywhere, go off the main paths to find hidden gems. Large rose garden, multiple statues, sculptures and subtle designs hidden all over the place. Take your time and there is plenty to see. There is also a very large, modern play area for kids. There is areas of this park when you could pitch a tent and live under a tree or behind some bushes and no one would find you for weeks if they didn't actually look. Everyone sticks to the paths when there is so much more to see. Beautiful place.

Great city park for kids near the University College Cork. We did not explore the rest of the park’s offering since our 4 yr old was anchored at the playground. Only reason for four and not five stars was an out of order bathroom. About a 1 mile walk from the Imperial Hotel in downtown.

The playground was very nice but the public toilet was not accessible. There is an impressive Tuia tree in the park.

A lovely park to visit and the kids' playground is epic. My 8 and 4 year old had a blast. On a nice day, when you are at a loose end and need to tire out the kids, it is worth a visit.

I love the park! It's a good walk to get to it, and you have options for paths by the bandstand, past the kids playground, or by the river and rose garden. They have a great little cafe on site, plus the Governor's Pavilion has exhibits, there's plenty of concerts and other events, and you can walk over to the Shakey Bridge (not it's real name) to see if how much bounce it has! A great place to while away a sunny day, and if you're lucky, the ice cream truck is outside the fence for a scoop or two!

This is a lovely little oasis within walking distance of the city centre. It's very well-maintained, is full of roses in the summer, has a playground, a café, a museum, lawns to lounge around on, and a little performance area. Also a tree covered in silver tiles for some reason. Good place to walk a dog. Cork is lucky to have such a nice place.

Nice, beautiful and quiet garden with some meaningful historical pieces of art. It is also near the Lee river bridge that links to the Cork City Gaol one of the main attractions of Cork city

We love this park! Live outside of Cork and will sometimes ride in to enjoy it. It is the perfect green space for Cork city. Plenty of flat green area with paved sidewalks to ride bikes or scooters. Nothing too huge in terms of fields for sports but there is enough for a game of frisbee or soccer. There’s a great playground as well as a museum and some statues on premises. I wouldn’t say it is a “must see” of Cork, but if you are in town for a few days, would check it out especially on a nice sunny day.

Absolutely love the place. Great playground. Looked after so we'll also facilitates are very good. Cafe with toilet and another toilet by the playground. This playground is pretty much the only playground in cork for older kids.

Nice walkway. Parking discs needed around area at certain days and times during week. Downfall is that the play area for younger kids is very very difficult to try keep an eye on them. Older kids love it, but I'm hesitant letting younger kids to the big part

Fitzgerald 's Park plays a vital role for all kids growing up in Cork. With a large play area for the toddlers to incredible scenery for the professional and aspiring photographers, if offers something for everyone. In the summer, the outside theatre stage fills the air with excitement and art. The large fountain is a meeting place for everyone to relax and enjoy the wild birds.
