A wonderful historical piece, great experience to learn the arthefacts tableware and housekeeping item and furniture. I was delighted to imagine how myself could live in castle. Highly recommend to visit and I do it myself again once it reopened

Four out of five when it's open. Most of the time it seems to be closed, what a pity. With it just being off the main Cork Waterford road it should be well able to open more. Didn't even see a sign of when it is open. A closed gem.

Great spot! But unfortunately it's closed for maintenance. It's a fantastic castle and when I visited years ago with my family, we really enjoyed it.

It was closed , Google haven't updated the page to inform visitors that it is closed permanently for renovations . I contacted the OPW and they informed Google of the closer last year , but Google did bother to change the opening times 😤

It's getting renovated. Good to see castles getting repaired and renovated during lockdown. Need to visit this post lockdown

A NOT TO BE MISSED 13th to 16th century castle currently getting remodelled but offering the most magnificent gardens and orchards with the amazing back drop of the castle. Gardens orchard OPEN all year round

Drove all the way here and place is closed to the public! At least have the manners and respect to update the hours online instead of wasting people's time. I have sent an update to Google so hopefully they update soon and no one else wastes their time driving here.
