Having visited a few other wonderful farms in Cork and Kerry we came here expecting similar standards. Unfortunately it was not to be. Rumley’s farm is very run down and in serious need of some TLC. There are few animals to see, the playgrounds need an upgrade and some of the slides are just dangerous. After 1.5 hours we were ready to leave. I understand the pandemic has been hard but there’s no excuse for the state of the place when you’re charging €42 for a family of four. Really surprised by some of the reviews. They really don’t match the experience we had here.

Needs a really good clean. Animal enclosures are filthy. The Cafe is horrific, very dirty. Flies everywhere , food and crumbs on the floor under tables, dog hair on the tables. 2 dogs and a cat roaming around in the dining area. Just shocking. Food is microwave garbage, €12 for a pizza from Iceland for 50c. Please Jesus, I wish Gordon Ramsay did an episode of kitchen nightmares here. Never ever again.

A kids friendly farm. Not so well maintained, but overall still a nice experience. It has an indoor “monkey town” but everything very dirty especially on a rainy day. The tractor ride was nice. The race track could be nice, but lots of bikes were already broke down. The carrot cake & brownie were surprisingly good, and very friendly priced.

Great day out for the whole family. My younger son loved the play areas, he chased the cats and enjoyed karting. The older son really liked the animals, he was amazed by the size of the pigs. 🐖😂.

Staff are lovely and helpful to my daughter, It has everything in it, play centre, food- cafe / toilets and u get to feed and touch the animals great place when it's dry. For 2adults 1 child - 30 euro -10 euro each. Check price lists on the website. Had my daughter birthday here and the staff couldn't of been more helpful towards my daughter and ourselves as a parent I was so anxious about the day , but they really made it special, forgot the girls name But thank you so much ❤ will be back again ❤💓

Visited during the August bank holiday weekend. Place felt a bit run down and more than 2 years worth of Covid struggles. Zero social distancing during petting time so felt very uncomfortable with the situation. Some(not all) of the animal cages/house could have been bigger. I've seen goldfish in bigger tanks then what the chicks were kept in. The German Shepherd/Carpathian wolves looked somewhat miserable and there were several holes near the fences, some just having rocks to fill them up. They did appear to have a decent amount of space though. Nieces and nephews who had been there before were disappointed the"pirate stuff" was removed from the boat. Very expensive entry fee in my opinion but probably to be expected with previous covid lockdowns and the insurance cartels of this country.

I had the pleasure of working at Rumleys farm over the past few years and I thought I’d write a short review of my own. Rumley’s is the most inclusive and entertaining working environment I’ve ever come across and I’m thrilled I got to be a part of such an amazing team. The farm is constantly being upgraded with new attractions seasonally. From go-karts and RC boats to an array of farm animals not seen at most petting farms, there is something for all age groups. They’ve selflessly kept prices down despite the insane bills they’ve received the past few years. Ivan and the farm staff should be very proud of all the hard work and dedication they’ve put in - It has brought joy to tens of thousands of people. I hope it continues to for years to come!

Good experience, but I guess all around might be more tidy and more clean. Kids are enjoying to feed the small pets. Large walking area

I live there with the 2 kids. Staff so friendly and its a very relaxed place. Lots of animal interaction and petting. 2 nice playgrounds, go carts, plenty sporty bits, COFFEE ☕, the indoor play gym ideal if it rains. They recently added boats in the pond you can drive. Really fun!!!

Loved the petting area! So much fun for both kids and adults! Lots of things for kids to do and lots to see. Liked the hands on petting the most! Very friendly staff.

Lovely farm, Great staff/owners more so. As couldn't do enough for you if specified. Over all fab experience. It's a Great - Leisurely day out with family in between multitude of animals, then a fun inside play area. What more would you want. Off the main road, secluded lovely place.

My daughters love this place. We bought the annual pass and it has been real value for money. Even on the rainy days we head up there and spend loads of time in the barn with the animals. A real life saver this summer! I know the place gets slot of negative comments for being run down, but very often small working farms are like this. The real hallmark of a well run farm is the condition of the animals, and all the animals at rumleys are well looked after and cared for. Always an enjoyable visit.

Everything about the place tells a tale of neglect, from the condition of the structures to the physical state of many animals and the age of the equipment. Even the owners' home, visible from the entrance, looks to be in poor repair. The place is in dire need of investment and serious lessons in animal welfare.

First time visiting , i imagine it was once a lovely place for families to visit and has huge potential but is unfortunately very run down now. Animals area was very sad and dirty, alot of areas in need of repair and the indoor play area was cold and filthy. Staff were very nice but that's the only positive. Wouldn't recommend visiting until alot of work is put in to improve.

It was a nice place to go for children , but the go carts need a major overhaul as some dangerous. Kids don't notice things like an adult. I felt there was not enough water and what was there was green for most of the animals. With variety of breeds many need different care and feeding. I was not impressed by the care.

Not as great as expected. Loved free roaming animals. But it's less well kept than other farms I've been too. Also animals are allowed to the soft play barn. And a lot of mess inside left by people never cleaned.

This is a tricky one to review. On certain levels we enjoyed it and my daughter had a great time (mostly). There was lots of animals to see and interact with, the tractor ride was fun and the young lady running most of the activities was friendly. It's the sort of place you want to like. However, some bits were in a very poor condition, either filthy or broken. Some of the animal enclosures looked a bit dodgy too, especially the robotic milking shed which was almost derelict. I also had to stop two puppies attacking a cornered kitten (and no it wasn't playful), which upset my daughter. It a nutshell, could be great but needs some serious TLC.

A really nice place to visit with kids but unfortunately it needs a good clean & overhaul. The farm itself is very run down looking- lots of weeds and overgrown shrubbery. It was hard to see some of the animals with the place being so unkept. The go karts were broken yet left out to disappoint the children. The indoor play area is so run down, needs a good clean and scrub. The cafe area in there looks miserable and an eyesore. The door into the play area was also stuck and diifcult to open. The tractor and trailer ride was fun but the door/gate on the trailer was broken. The coffee was good but the cafe needs a good clean. Didn’t use the glasses/ cutlery as they were grubby. The jugs of juice were also grubby. A few plastic jugs don’t cost much. Food was ok. The toilets were filthy. The staff were friendly and polite. The place has lots of potential and would be a great place to visit with kids but it would benefit hugely from a bit of maintenance all over. Hopefully the owners take the comments on board and make some much needed improvements.

My kids love this place but over the past few years it has become very tired looking throughout, the animals are well looked after and in that aspect it's a great experience for the kids but we went there today for the first time this year and it seems the facilities and recreational amenities have just been let go. The pitch and putt is unplayable due to disrepair, the go karts all had either broken brakes, burst tyres or steering issues. Their was no footballs for the target yard and the play area is very tired, untidy and has become very grubby. Needs some investment before I can justify taking the kids back there again unfortunately.

We went on a very wet day so I would believe this would be excellent in the summer . Halloween in the barn very well done but the charge of 5 euro not worth it (live experience would be better if charging ) very enjoyable for the kids and we will go back . Toilet hand dryer not working properly needs to be looked at . Loved the animals and a excellent day out for the kids .

Just an FYI I checked online and it said that the cost of entrance was 8 euros but when we got there it was 11 euros per adult and 10 for kids. Children under 2 get in free. Spring is the best time to see the baby animals. Baby lambs wonder around the petting area and you can rub them. They are super friendly. Also wondering around is a little pony but be careful he loves nibbling everything. Even your bag. The next time we go I'll take some apples. The best thing about this farm was the petting farm and they have supervised petting at 12.30, 2 and 4. You can get to pet rabbits, chicks, a chinchilla and even a hedgehog. Also in the area is Freddie the pony and you can even get to ride Freddie. There are also donkeys and a calf but the star of the show for me has got to be Tina the cockatoo. She has a big personality and you can get your picture taken with her. My three year old loved all the play areas. I wasn't aware of the indoor play area so I didn't take her there and it will be an excuse to go back. She absolutely loved the outdoor areas. And I think she would have had a great time on those alone. Rumleys also have "Axel the wolf". He was so cool. There are also other animals but we didn't get to see them up close. After our walk around we went for coffee in the cafe. I had a cappuccino and it was pretty good and my daughter had a hot chocolate with marshmallows and she had 3/4 which is a pretty good sign for her. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were very patient with the kids (and adults ) asking questions.

Visited Rumley's with my child over the weekend. Good price. Not too sure was it because it was off season but the indoor play area was absolutely filthy. There were wet patches from obvious roof leaks, there were cobwebs on the windows with dead insects in the shop and the shelves were dirty as well. The animals were fab and very friendly. Staff were so nice. The general maintainence of the public areas wasn't great. Hope to return during peak season to see the comparison.

Really poorly looked after if at all. We didnt see one staff member from the minute we left the shop/cafe area. Not 1. No o e tending to animals or landscaping at all. Nettles overgrown everywhere and thistles making it difficult to look into encolutes without being stung. Cobwebs on everything. Glass or plastic windows on some encolsures are so dirty you cant see into the animals. Worst of all, there was a loose alpaca blocking thr path so we couldnt go any further and had to turn back and miss what ever was ahead for safety concerns. With zero signs or staff letting us know it was safe it was unclear if it had escaped or was meant to be there. If i saw a staff member we would have complained but not one to be seen. Really dissapointing, sad to see and even worrysome for the animals. As previous reviews said everythings broken or out of order. No balls for thr golf, karts all broken boats on pond out of order. Should honestly be closed while an overhaul is done.

The set up of the in and outdoor play areas could be great as it has many options but it needs maintenance and the indoor kids area is filthy. Also please please please look after your exotics! Their living conditions just broke my heart. Would give 0 stars if I could and will not be returning.

A BIG disappointment of a farm, it should be taken care of or at least the animals. All the animals were sad and dirty. There was a donkey in one of the enclosures with a calf, they were both very dirty and very sad, at first we were with the calf giving him some real grass because everything inside was full of poop and there was no edible grass, the calf jumped at us to the food, he seemed very hungry, after a while, the donkey approached to us, very afraid, but when he saw that we were with the calf he the end he let us touch him, he wanted a lot of love but when we touched him, after a while He went straight to the door, stopped there for a few minutes and came back, he has done this more than five times. HE WAS ASKING US TO LEAVE, HELP. I found it exasperating and EXTREMELY SAD because if the poor animal asks you to go out, it's wrong. The price of admission seemed good to me until I saw the condition of the animals. It seems sad, shameful, painful and insurmountable!!!!!! You should not be allowed to have animals in this state. It forces me to rate at least one star, otherwise it won't let me publish, I wouldn't even rate HALF!!!! INDIGNATION is the only thing I feel!!!

If I could leave zero stars I would. Went to the winter wonderland with our two children. We went at 5 and there were only a string of fairy lights around the place so we had to use the lights on our phones to see the animals/our way around. Ms Claus was fab but Santa was very poor. We paid €70 to get in and see Santa and had to pay an extra €10 for a photo. You get a ticket for 4 complimentary drinks however they refused to give us a water, but that's all our son will drink. The presents were shocking. We were in and out in 45 minutes. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and we won't be back. Complete rip off.

I've given this one star because there isn't the facility to give it a thumbs down. We visited here today and to say I was shocked and disappointed is an understatement. I was appalled at how neglected and dirty this open farm is, overgrown with weeds, dirty water in the pond, it is actually a health hazard...dogs and cats were doing their business on straw which children were handling, we went to sanitise our hands to find the containers empty. The " play area" was unsupervised, the floors haven't seen a mop in years, the chairs and tables were grubby and worn, the list goes on....! The children enjoyed themselves but we most certainly won't be visiting here again or recommending it to anyone.

Avoid this place with your children at all costs. AT ALL!!!! We went to the soft play zone, in the back of it, there is a football zone where during the playtime the CEILING LAMP FELL onto the floor!!! Luckily my children were taking break from playing football and stepped away from there to get a sip of water. If they were there they could have been injured or killed by that lamp as it was long and fell flat. Furthermore all the playground area is neglected, basket swing is not properly attached to the ground and many pieces of the equipment is broken and could seriously HARM or KILL your child. Then, next to the ferrets there are electric cables on the ground that child could easy pick up. When it comes to animals, they are dirty, their living space are covered in feces, the fence in many places is broken. In the animal petting area in the hen cage there is broken glass on the level of small child. If the child puts its hand there, for example to touch the small chick they could have their blood vessels on their wrists CUT OPEN!!!! During petting the animals time, the staff working there is not paying attention to the fact that some children are torturing the animals for example by squeezing them too hard, lifting them all the time or lifting them by their ears. On top of that which I could still forgive if not things mentioned above is that go karts are broken, the crazy golf is ruined and the football pitch has broken goal post. The whole plays is cruelly dirty and stinky. They should be shut down for animal cruelty and safety hazard.

Went with grand-children aged 3 and 20 months who really enjoyed the outing. Great variety of animals, hands-on petting area, tractor rides, digger, go-karts, indoor play area. Excellent for children's party. Very accessible close to Cork.

Haven visited a few different farms, this one is my favourite, the environment is relaxed and the animals are well cared for and have more freedom than other farms which i love to see. You can also pet the animals which is a huge plus for me unlike some other farms which keep the animals enclosed all day. There is a lovely soft play and go cart area for the kids and the staff are helpful and very friendly. The pony rides are a lovely touch also and much appreciated. Overall I love this farm, it is disappointing to see such reviews about cleanliness, after all it is still a farm and a little dirt is to be expected on a farm.

Waste of money. Its a good space but not maintained.

I visited the farm with my wife and son whilst on vacation in Cork in August. We were the only visitors on the day. Pro's included having the space to ourselves. The con's meant that the staff were not very attentive to us. The place is unfortunately rundown with broken facilities like the carts. The indoor play area was very clean and our son loved this facility.

First time here as we happened to be passing. Both my kids are under 5. Firstly the good parts. Good parking facilities and in close proximity to the entrance. Nicely laid out farm with a good variety of animals. Now onto the bad parts. The soft play area is very dirty and looks as though it has never been cleaned. The farm itself needs to undergo maintenance. Although it may be secure, it is tatty at parts. Broken fences, no locks on alot of the enclosures. Price in my opinion is a lot in comparison to similar places. Fota is only marginally dearer but you get a lot more for it. Upon arrival there was no one at the reception and we had to wait some time. That's ok, had no issue with that myself but first impressions should be a priority. I feel the place has huge potential but I wouldn't return again unless I happened to be passing.

We were at Rumley's for a double 6th birthday party. It was super! The rain did not make one bit of difference, the whole gang had a great time. There was loads to do inside and out. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. I'd like to send an extra big thanks to Eva who entertained 20 6 year olds for over 2 hours and was still smiling at the end😅. Thanks to all at Rumley's for a really great party!
