Possibly the best way to see Cork. The tour loops around the center once before taking you to more exotic places. The stops come with prerecorded info texts, but if you're really lucky the bus drivers will add extra commentary about and in between stops. The ticket is valid for 2 consecutive days and you can hop on and off as often as you like. Not only great for sightseeing. It really helped me get a better idea of Cork as a city as well.

We got off at Cork Gaol and were told the bus would be back in an hour and a half - which it was - and which was plenty of time to see the gaol. Would recommend the bus tour for first time visitors to the city.

Very easy to use service and there is a stop right outside (on the street) the Cork, Kent station.

I did not have a good experience with this tour at all. I never leave reviews, but I feel a duty to my travelers to share my poor experience. The tour itself was poorly designed, and the tour guide was not very β€œguiding”. The tour takes you to 4 different stops: 1 National Forest (30 minute stop), The town of Bantry (20 minute stop), Mizen head (1.5 hrs), and then Clonakilty (30 minute stops). Besides Mizen head, the stops were WAY TOO SHORT. We had to run like a chicken with their head cut off to see anything cool + go to the bathroom + grab something to eat. We had to run back to the bus multiple times in order not to miss it. Plus, we got back almost an hour before they said that we were, meaning we could’ve have extra time in each location that we already paid for. Then at Mizenhead we had to pay to go out to the cliffs. (€7.50 each) The tour TO MIZENHEAD did not itself cover the destination. It was absolutely a tourist trap! Along with that, the bus ride was long and the guide barely told us anything about the areas in all that time, and was terrible at remembering facts and often got wrong dates or told the story poorly. Plus he TOOK A PHONE CALL WHILE DRIVING AND LEFT HIS MICROPHONE ON??? Why must we pay to hear this man’s conversation?? However, it was better than the music speaker that kept skipping ever 5 minutes. Not a comfortable ride, not enough time for the stops, and not a good guide. The only thing that made it worth it was the beautiful view of Mizen head and the lovely Irish countryside. Do NOT recommend!

Would worry about the safety of passengers judging by the driving I experienced today. Coach stopped at a green light, driver realised their mistake, sped on. They then realised they were in the wrong lane and cut into mine, the back of the bus almost side swiping my car. I had to emergency stop and swerve into the oncoming lane - driver then changed lanes again, but continued to drive half in 2 lanes. The only upside is that if I hadn't swerved and the coach had hit me, coach passengers would have been safe, as I'd have been the one dead.

Driver guide Michael was hilarious. A bit too lenient with passengers being late with timings back to the bus which impacted later on in the tour that I couldn't get to see the Michael Collins house. The pick up point wasn't clear and it was a bit nervy at the start of the tour that I was in the correct location, no signage anywhere, which didn't help when don't have data abroad.

I usually do one of these tours in every city that I visit. Nothing exceptional on this one. It would be nice for them to have the live person on board so that he or she could answer questions as well.

This is a great way to see the city, we passed all the sights of Cork while being told some of the history, the freedom to hop on and off at the sights as many times as you like during the bus operating hours is top notch and allows you to enjoy it without rushing. We spent a lovely day touring Cork on the Sightseeing Bus so I highly recommend it if you are short on time to get to know the city.

For €16 this was a pretty good way to see all of Cork on a time budget. I didnt mind the recordings, tho I see it could be a bit loud if you sit right underneath the speakers. Driver banter was πŸ’―

Bought tickets in advance because we really wanted to go to Cork City Gaol. On time at the bus stop, when the bus passed by the driver didn't even try to stop (bus was not full) and gave us the finger. Since we only had a couple of hours in Cork we didn't have time to wait for the next bus that was scheduled for 45 minutes later. No reaction what so ever after contacting Cork City Tours. Never again.

Not enough information.. Really disappointed with the recordings.. Best part was my interaction with the bus driver at the beginning..He was Great craic.. It was the first day of 2021 so i will forgive ye for that... but lord, This needs work!!!! needs to be more information re buildings architecture, no information at all given on drive in from merchants quay.. No information on beautiful building across from opera house in blue and white... Really poor.. Ive done these types of tours from san Francisco to belfast and to New Zealand. I felt very deflated and its not the bus drivers fault.. Because he was on by himself i had to catch a taxi back into town to be on time for a boat trip in Cobh. City Gaol was amazing. I did a flying visit, fab experience, leave about an hour.. But nothing about the other fab buildings further over on hill. Drove straight past Ucc no recordings played at all, no info given either.. 1 other point... Bus drivers should be made wait at each stop out of respect for visitors.... Not pull in pull out.. I had to bang on back of bus or I would have missed it and on the return leg had to stomp my feet on floor to stop bus as a family ran for the departing bus i was on!!! Ireland and Cork can do better.....

Very few passengers use the hop off hop on facility so when you wait at a bus stop like at the gaol there are no seats available. Expensive for a standing bus ride downstairs seeing very little. Driver should encourage passengers to leave the bus at points of interest worth visiting

Cork City Hop On-Hop Off Tour A brilliant tour of the city centre, with a driver who really knew her stuff from an historic point of view. She also had a great sense of humour that really added to the experience. We saw all of the major sites on the city centre and the driver directed us to those a little further out. She was really helpful and deserves some praise. Really nice way of describing a bridge that was not there (sent off for maintenance). We saw much more that we would have seen if we had just walked around the place and I would recomend that the tour is an ideal indroduction to the city centre if you have not been before (or like me had not been in years). Lots of good photo opporunities on the tour though unfortunatley ours was in the rain so they did not work so well.

The best way to see Cork if time or money is short. But also a good introduction to the City for any visitor, to note places to return to later. Big, open topped, double decker with commentary. Good tour of about 80 minutes round the City. You can get off and on as often as you like; and as it goes to most City locations, this would be a day's transport for you for 15 Euro.

This tour is definitely not worth the money, comentary is poor quality information is poor, there is a lot more history that could be added. I would say tapes where made about 30 years ago and never updated 4 of us went on tour it cost 68 euro not worth 20 euro for all 4
