Perhaps I wear my heart on my sleeve, but my wife and I fell in love with this place before we even entered, and then fell for it several times thereafter. The service, as well as the management thereof, is second to none. A sensation of class is exuded at every turn. If you’re looking for comfort, excellence, and a perfect setting, this is the place to spend an evening.

This is a beautiful hotel, set back in a nice secluded setting that is close to the city. We have been travelling for a year now and have stayed at many many hotels over that time. I like to rate hotels mainly on the beds, service and just getting the basics right. I don't understand how some hotels can't do that. The checkin process was simple, we were given the key to our room and we immediately did the 5min trek to the room only for the key to not work, so we had to trek back to get a new key. That's kind of annoying straight after checkin and sets a tone for the stay. Whilst the bed was 10/10 comfortable the room didn't really function. The soap and shampoo in the bathroom was on the floor of the shower, so anyone with any back/mobility issues would have had issues. There was only one facecloth and there was no kettle in the room. The chair for the desk doesn't fit under the desk so you have to uncomfortably lean over to use your laptop or put make-up on. There is antique style furniture in the room that you have to pull at to get open, none of the drawers are on runners and there is close to zero hanging space for clothes. The breakfast was simply chaotic. The staff were unprepared, and a little rude. We went to get seated and other groups came in after us and the server stood us aside to deal with 4 groups that came in after us, I had to intervene and ask him to seat us first instead of leaving us standing there like plebs in the hallway. There were too many people for the tiny space of the continental breakfast area, people were leaning over each other to grab food, and it was a terrible experience to be honest. The menu was not explained and the full irish that we did get was not edible. The eggs were rock hard, and it tasted like the food had been cooked the day before. To be honest the breakfast experience probably lead to such a detailed review because it just showed how unorganised the service was. We were however, given some free coffees from the server who made us wait for a seat which I suppose was a gesture of apology but it didn't make up for the chaos or the fact I couldn't eat anything that we paid for!! I would only recommend this hotel for a short stay, anything longer than two nights I think you would be frustrated by simple things just not being as easy as they should.

Food was excellent! My daughter's dietary requirements were well catered for. Wheelchair accessibility could have been better. The parking spaces were small, the access ramp was blocked by a delivery van. The step at the main entrance could easily be made accessible. The Wheelchair toilet was located too far away from the restaurant.

Staff were lovely and the rooms were nice and comfy. Basically no sound proofing though- there was a wedding on and we could hear the music very clearly all night, people talking in the halls sounded like they were in our room and the doors closing shook the bed (all in the new wing). Breakfast was alright, nothing spectacular. Absolutely gorgeous location, and again staff were excellent!!

My sisters and I stayed here for a few days in September and it was the best place we stayed at while visiting Ireland. The staff were all nice, the beds were comfy and the shower was excellent. It's up a little winding road so there's no traffic passing by all night. The hotel itself is beautiful. I would stay here again given the chance.

We celebrated our wedding reception in Vienna Woods in June. We worked with both John and Melissa and couldn't say enough about the two of them. Melissa is excellent at her job and had everything covered and totally put our minds at ease. The day of the wedding the team were fantastic and were so friendly and professional. The food was amazing and our stay was lovely. Would definitely recommend here for a wedding.

A local Hotel to us in Cork. Always a great venue to visit for lunch. Exceptionally busy day we arrived for a Mum & Daughter Luncheon. Wedding on. Glamour and style. Copious parking. Bright & airy place lovely decor. Fine bar & patio area. Lunch was very nice. We were asked if we were residents? I said no but locals and we normally dine here for lunches with friends & family. So we were shown to a table in back room. Bright and welcoming menu presented great choice from small bites to big lunch dishes & meals. Staff were lovely, cheerful smiling and so helpful & attentive.

Stayed as part of a wedding party. Rooms were beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Outdoor area and garden room are perfect spot on what was a sunny day. Issue with price on arrival which was the only downside but was sorted quickly and efficiently. Beautiful location and wedding venue. Food was lovely also.

We were part of a coach party of 37 from North Wales. Major upgrade of hotel seems nearly finished but work (and dust) ongoing! Rooms are excellent, modern and clean. Service in the restaurant was a little irratic, and food quality ranged from outstanding to average. I think.this Hotel could be the place, with a little more attention to detail.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was really nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I also got the continental breakfast included free of charge, which was a really nice surprise! PS do watch out for the road up to the hotel. If you are coming from Cork City side, it is a very sharp turn off the main road!

New part of the hotel quite nice - paid an extra 30 euro per night for the privilege but no air conditioning working - nothing said at check in - only reason I stay there regularly is for the excellent food

We highly recommend Vienna Woods to any wedding couple. We had our wedding here in June 2023 and we had the best day of our lives. Melissa, Michael and the team were an absolute pleasure to deal with. No matter what ask we had of Melissa, she was always on hand to help us. The level of service was exceptional. The food is always fantastic at Vienna Woods and our wedding day was no exception. Many of our guests have since told us how nice the meal was at our wedding and everyone was very satisfied. The new drinks reception area and balcony is ideal for guests to mingle before the meal and the accompanying music was also great. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. The staff are so friendly and helpful and they make the whole experience so enjoyable. Thank you Melissa, Michael and all the team for making our wedding day so special.

The receptionist was AMAZING. She helped us look on booking sites to make sure that the accommodations we were choosing met our needs. Once we decided to stay, she upgraded our rooms!!! Dining staff was snarky but fun. Bartenders in general bar area were less than impressive. No patrons but slow service and the hot drinks were way watered down.

Went for afternoon tea, €36.50 each which is pretty standard. Views were gorgeous and the whole area was lovely. Staff super friendly and attentive, and we had a few adjustments to the food which they did no problem. Really nice atmosphere and food really tasty. Also got a kids one, which came with hot chocolate

We chose Vienna Woods for our Wedding and I am so happy we did. Every single step of the way Melissa the coordinator made the entire process as smooth and stress free as possible. Melissa always was available to answer any question we had as soon as possible, guide us and provide advice as well as listen to all our concerns. The set up of the reception in the ballroom was perfect and the new balcony area was ideal for our sliders and drinks reception. The food was delicious and the midnight curry chips snack boxes were devoured in about 10 minutes. The singer provided by the hotel was amazing for our reception, everyone was raving about her 🤩 Thank you very much for making our day so effortlessly beautiful.

From a supplier point of view… Having many bookings for weddings and gala events, the cooperation of the venue staff is always a huge part of delivering the best service. The team at Vienna Woods are always first class making sure we have everything we need on the day or night. Many thanks to Tomas and his very professional catering experts. We recommend Vienna Woods for weddings and Gala events.

We stayed there last night as part of the Rory's Travel Club and the Vienna Woods Hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed in one of the executive rooms with king size bed and a bath. The staff is second to none. Suzanne at the reception and Andrea in the dining room are a credit to the hotel, they made us feel special from the start. Night staff gentleman at the reception was amazing as well. The food is to die for, we had beef and double burger from the menu as well as cheesecake and walnut brownie, both really recommended. There is a bar open till 11pm where we tried cocktails and our recommendation is Cosmopolitan. We thoroughly loved every moment of our stay. Thank you Vienna Woods Hotel for your lovely hospitality!.

Would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again.

Very disappointed in the state of the room, we did not want to walk around in our bare feet as the carpet was 20+ years old and not in the best shape. the bathroom was very old, cracked tiles everywhere and has seen better days. Would not recommend.

Probably the best customer service I've ever experienced. Staff consistently went above and beyond. Management were attentive and took an interest in guests with great tips of what to see and where to go and just genuine conversation. Lady running breakfast is phenomenal.

Everything about this hotel was first class from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. All of the staff were extremely friendly and most helpful. Unfortunately our stay was shortened due to my wife being unwell. The young man on reception was very helpful in helping us arranging our return journey to Cambridge early. The staff in both the restaurant and the bar are a credit to this hotel . The interior design of the public areas and our room was very tasteful. The hotel continues to benefit from further improvements which will only further improve what is already a first class establishment. I hope to return sometime

Amazing Hotel! Just home from an amazing stay at the Vienna Woods. Gorgeous hotel and facilities. We stayed in the self catering villas which has everything you could thing of or need for a weekend away. Every single member of staff were excellent and went above and beyond for our large group. We’ll definitely be back. 10/10

Stunning food, breakfast/bar areas and very friendly staff. Rooms are in need of repair however with bathrooms and carpets etc looking very dated. We originally were placed in a more modern triple room however there was a connecting door which we did not want so were moved to an older room in the end as per our request, so there seem to be new and old styles withing the complex. Plentiful parking, overall a lovely stay.

Was there for a communion, so can't comment on the room. Our meal was booked for 1630hrs, didn't get called to our table till 1720hrs approx. Once seated at the table our food order wasn't taken, till the lead guest left the table and approached the floor manager. We got served our food, which I will say was very enjoyable, but it was over an 1hr and 10mins passed our booking time. The seating was lovely, but sardines in a tin come to mind at the table. The seating was very close to each other. Food = very good Service= Fair Staff = very good

This hotel was absolutely beautiful- and breakfast in the morning was delicious! Came down from Maynooth, and the staff was more than helpful with suggestions for what to do while in the area. Since myself and some friends are studying on exchange from America, every person that we encountered was inquisitive about our stories and were so intrigued and excited to hear about how we loved Ireland. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area- only approx. 10-15 minutes from downtown Cork.

Had afternoon tea here on Wednesday. Absolutely fabulous. Beautiful setting and great attention to detail. Food was amazing. Loved that we were given a teapot and coffee pot so didn't have to keep asking for refills. Would definitely do it again.

I had a fantastic stay in this hotel. The staff is amazing and they managed to find me a room last minute, even though I had not booked a room with the group I was meeting. Michael was fantastic. Thanks again for the great hospitality and amazing service. I highly recommend this hotel. The bed what exactly what I needed after a long day on my feet . Actually, it’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in😊 Thanks again, Sarah

Being a photographer, we are here regularly shooting weddings. Michael, Melissa and all the staff are so professional, friendly and excellent to deal with. Love going back each time and the service is always 5 star. The new renovations are a must see. Ideal for any occasion especially weddings.

From the time we parked our car on arriving at this amazing venue to meeting a lovely smiling lady at reception to been guided to the restaurant our experience was exceptional. Again the waitress serving our table was so friendly & chatty & always with a smile. The food was so tasty & beautiful. We sat around for a few hours & kept offering us more tea & no pressure whatsoever to move on. Have to say the Christmas trees & decorations are so nice & makes the Vienna Woods so welcoming & such a nice cosy warm atmosphere there. Can’t wait for our next visit. Well done to all the team of the Vienna Woods Hotel.

The attention to detail by the staff here is impressive. Was having a study day and every lsdt thing was done for us. Delicious home baked scones, started our day and we were super impressed. Comfy beds, power showers and great food. Thanks to Chloe, Abby and Susan plus all the many gents for taking care of our wee group.

We were just at a wedding here and it was beautiful with Christmas trees, lights and chandeliers. The food was great and the staff were very nice and obliging. When I refused the dessert because I am gluten free, they heard me mention it and unasked, brought me a delicious gf dessert. Thank you Vienna Woods.

Lovely hotel, unfortunately a lot of building work going around the hotel. They don't serve any bar food which is disappointing. Had to leave my group to eat in the restaurant as they wouldn't allow me to bring to the bar. Car park is also very tight.

Great location for exploring Cork and surrounds, beautiful hotel with lovely dining and bar areas. We booked a mini suite and were pleasantly surprised to receive a sweet treat and a bottle of prosecco in the room on arrival. Dinner in the evening was excellent, efficient service and absolutely delicious food. Full 3 course meal with drinks for two of us was ~€100. We also had drinks in the bar after dinner, it was lovely and quiet and the service was also good. Unfortunately our breakfast experience left us extremely disappointed. We had booked in for 9.30am, there were a couple in front who hadn't booked but were accommodated while we waited and then we were shown to our table and told about the set up - buffet for cereals/juice/pastries/toast and then someone would take our hot food order. We helped ourselves to cereal and juice and then waited, and waited - it was 20 minutes before we could get anyone to take our hot food order and then another 25 minutes before our food turned up. From being seated to receiving our hot food, it was just over an hour. We also had to ask someone for tea and coffee as they had neglected to ask us this on seating us, as we had seen them do for others. The young waiter was apologetic but there seemed to be a lack of servers and communication between front and back of house. On returning to our room, we were surprised to find one of only two servers that we had seen in the dining room was also doing room service deliveries! On check-out we raised the issue with the receptionist when she asked how our stay had been, she again apologised and removed the cost of 2 breakfasts from our bill. There were some attempts to excuse the experience by way of blaming people not booking in but it was clear that it was a combination of this and poor organisation in both the dining room and the kitchen. There was a stark difference between the exemplary, calm evening dinner service and chaotic, agitated breakfast team... Maybe they were short staffed but this wasn't mentioned, or even used as an excuse. In the end, the quality of the breakfast food was average, cheap cereal, sausages and pudding and it was not worth the advertised €16. We were also put off by the note on the menu that said any additional items added to the full or mini breakfast would be charged at €5/item! It was very disappointing to have our experience with the hotel end in this way, we would be reluctant to return despite all other aspects being favourable.

Nice place to stay, great food and decent atmosphere. Only given one key card for the room which was an issue for me and my partner though, as I needed to crash early due to work, and she was planning on enjoying a wedding we were booked in for. Resulting in a broken sleep as I was clock watching with the fear of missing her knocking the door. Beer bottles rattling under our window into the wee hours helped with that however. I assume this was down the wedding taking place which is understandable. But unfortunate for the other guests.. Aside from that the food was delicious, and the service overall was second to none.

We loved our time here. Our room was immaculate and the decor was fresh and fun! Check in was easy. Breakfast was absolutely amazing! Spot on! The staff worked very hard to accommodate everyone even though things got very busy. They were very friendly and helpful throughout. I would most definitely stay here again!
