I
stayed
one
night
at
Redclyffe
B&B
by
myself
for
a
work
Christmas
party
so
I
would
not
have
to
travel
far
afterwards.
I
was
looking
for
good
value
and
a
within
walking/bus
range
to
Cork
city.
This
B&B
suited
my
needs
and
had
the
treat
of
an
amazing
breakfast
and
friendly
owners.
At
check
in,
I
was
greeted
by
a
gentleman,
Mick,
who
directed
me
to
my
room.
The
room
was
essentially
an
en
suite
bedroom
with
a
kettle.
The
room
was
warm
and
comfortable
for
the
cool
Irish
winter.
I
was
happy
to
have
the
freedom
to
come
and
go
from
the
B&B
at
any
time
of
the
night.
The
bathroom
was
clean
and
equipped
with
towels
but
could
do
with
an
fixup:
The
toilet
seat
cannot
be
lifted
without
falling
back
down;
The
sink
had
separate
hot
and
cold
taps
which
was
awkward
for
a
person
who
does
not
fill
the
sink
to
use
warm
water,
a
mixer
tap
would
be
better.
I
would
have
also
liked
the
TV
in
the
bedroom
to
have
all
local
channels
available:
"No
signal"
was
displayed
for
several
channels.
The
breakfast
was
delicious.
Mick
himself
prepared
a
fresh
full
Irish
breakfast
and
I
was
also
free
to
choose
fresh
fruit,
yogurt
or
bread
from
the
dining
room.
There
is
a
bus
stop
right
outside
the
door
with
two
regular
city
bus
routes
(208
and
220,
as
of
this
writing).
I
would
highly
recommend
Redclyffe
to
a
solo
traveller
who
would
like
to
be
within
walking
distance
to
Cork
city
while
not
paying
an
exorbitant
amount
per
night.
