Top of the house (literally), kept hitting my head of the slanted ceiling in the The toilet, could not swing my arms never mind a cat! The wash and basin was the size of a larger face cloth, I hit my arms of the shower as I turned in side. Might be sizable for a kid but not for an adult. On the.plus.side, it was clean and warm, comfy bed and pillows, the TV was temperamental! The family were helpful and friendly and could not do enough for me. I would come back but in a bigger room!

My partner and I found it a lovely spot. The staff were very friendly, they gave us a huge room, the location was unbelievable (in the city centre yet a quiet area) and breakfast was included, which was a pleasant surprise. All for a very reasonable price. Would 100% recommend.

Very friendly staff. Convenient location for city and UCC. Adequate free parking. Basic accommodation in a house which could do with a little updating. While mattress was new, I found it uncomfortable. Powerful shower, lovely towels and crisp white sheets. Painted coriboard panel in bedroom possibly covering plumbing, a painted wooden panel would look better, in my opinion. Cornflakes or Weetabix, and toast for breakfast, apparently due to Covid regulations, but price reflects establishments who provide full breakfast.

I stayed here for 10 nights. The hosts and staff were friendly. My room was small but very clean. The breakfast was good (I went with poached eggs, tea, cereal, and fruits). It was worth the money.

Mick and his wife run a friendly family business with the help of staff and family. They'll make you feel welcome and you'll get some down to earth B&B accommodation.

We had booked our vacation before Corona, but could not arrive because the virus spread and flights were cancelled. A very warm thank you to the owner family who took us in as a matter of course three years later without hesitation and we had a wonderful vacation with them. Thank you Michael and Maura! Best breakfast in Cork! :)

Rooms were comfy and clean. Breakfast was good. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Short drive into town and very reasonably priced. Recommend and I'll certainly come back again next time I'm working in the area.

I stayed one night at Redclyffe B&B by myself for a work Christmas party so I would not have to travel far afterwards. I was looking for good value and a within walking/bus range to Cork city. This B&B suited my needs and had the treat of an amazing breakfast and friendly owners. At check in, I was greeted by a gentleman, Mick, who directed me to my room. The room was essentially an en suite bedroom with a kettle. The room was warm and comfortable for the cool Irish winter. I was happy to have the freedom to come and go from the B&B at any time of the night. The bathroom was clean and equipped with towels but could do with an fixup: The toilet seat cannot be lifted without falling back down; The sink had separate hot and cold taps which was awkward for a person who does not fill the sink to use warm water, a mixer tap would be better. I would have also liked the TV in the bedroom to have all local channels available: "No signal" was displayed for several channels. The breakfast was delicious. Mick himself prepared a fresh full Irish breakfast and I was also free to choose fresh fruit, yogurt or bread from the dining room. There is a bus stop right outside the door with two regular city bus routes (208 and 220, as of this writing). I would highly recommend Redclyffe to a solo traveller who would like to be within walking distance to Cork city while not paying an exorbitant amount per night.

The staff were very nice. The environment is clean and well looked after. The breakfast is delicious and directly cooked by the owners in the morning. A place were you can feel home, highly recommended! Just a ten minute walk from the city centre and the bus stop in right in front of the hotel, very well located in general.

Very comfortable and clean right beside the University. The breakfast is cooked to perfection. I really looked forward to breakfast as they gave you a choice of what you would like and my scrambled eggs were the best ive tasted. I Can't think of anything negative. This was my 2nd visit and I'm definitely going to book again. A Big Thank You to all the staff. Oh yes they make your bed and cleaned your room and emptied your bins daily. So don't be surprised when you come back at the end of your day exploring Cork City that your room will be clean and your bed looks like you have not slept in it

I've used this accommodation 4 or 5 times over the years and for someone travelling on a budget looking for somewhere with good standards this place is ideal. Any problems are minor things such as my tv didn't work..but going by the friendliness of the staff I'm sure if at the time I brought it to their attention it would have been resolved. Overall I'm very happy as it covers all I needed for a short stay, it's clean, and in a good location close to the city center

Stayed there for around 2 weeks in a single room. Room was very small but it had its own shower and toilet. Cleaned up (almost) daily. Breakfast was included in the price and it was an average breakfast. Location is good, right next to the Fitzgerald Park. 10 mins walk to city centre.
