Nectar does specialize in speciality coffee and in house cooking. The staff makes great soups and sandwichs. They will break down what you are drinking if you ask and are a coffee enthusiast. Nectar's barista does bring in guest coffees for you to enjoy and sample. The desserts are delightful and tasty. When you can sit outside and take in the dry weather. They do provide table service. The washroom is wheelchair friendly. If you are coming from the bus station definitely stop in here and get your caffeine fix.

Cute, small spot that tries hard to overcome its unattractive location opposite the Bus Station and for the most part succeeds. The aethestic and atmosphere inside is reminiscent of indie cafes in New York. There are many like it now with similar non-descript decor and service but it's still warmer and more welcoming than the car-busy road it's on. We ordered some cappucinos to-go, a chicken pesto panini, other opted for the banana and walnut loaf and apple tartlet. All of them beautifully presented and again terrifically appetizing to the eyes. The cappuccinos could've been served less burned but I've noted this is a "trait" common to all Irish baristas. I do sorely miss a smooth, rich, velvety coffee. Unfortunately here it was mostly hard, watery and lacking body - we all seemed to agree on this. The panini also didn't excite as much as it had in anticipation and the banana loaf turned out bland and well… forcefully chewing on barely banana-flavoured cardboard isn't fun. A shame as the recipe is easily rectified. Will admit that the apple tarlet was instead spectacular, even if not as abundant in fruit. Perhaps we were simply disappointed with all the rest. I will come again for the atmosphere, hoping the food will be better then but that's as many chances as I'm willing to give it. There is nothing unique here that you won't found elsewhere in Cork, and, being such a fantastically small city, it isn't the most generous of compliments. Two and a half stars generously rounded up.

This is my favourite café in Cork City. Their take away cups are compostable (so I bring them home and put them in my food waste bin), and they serve chai lattes. They have loyalty cards plus the staff are pleasant and friendly. I generally don't have to wait long to be served, especially if I'm there between 10.30 and 11 am. I think it's busier after 11 am. They have coeliac and vegetarian options as well as non-dairy milk, plus there's seating outdoors as well as indoors. Most of the time, they make a design like a swan on my chai latte which is a nice touch They've a decent range of sweet and savoury treats including sandwiches and scones but I've never tried them so I can't comment on how tasty they are. My only complaint is that the chairs indoors are more like stools as they have a very low back and they're not that comfortable. The location of Nectar is nice and central also. Price-wise, I'd say it's about average

Nice coffee shop. Good quality beans, good blending, reasonable price. Normally we only go for coffee but they do have a few snacks that always look tasty. We keep coming back for the coffee because it has such a good balance of flavour (not to bitter). The shop is small but usually service is pretty fast so no issues to get in and out in a reasonable amount of time.

Lovely food and nice atmosphere. However I ordered a turmeric latte which had so much turmeric that it burned my throat whenever I took a sip from it. Not sure if that's just how they make it but it wasn't a pleasant experience. I was also standing a while at the till with several staff behind the counter who didn't seem to notice me at all even though there was only a few people in the cafe till the waiter called them to come to the counter. I didn't have the best experience here but I'm willing to try again.

We were this morning at the cafe with my husband, the breakfast was delicious but I want to highlight the attention of the guys. He is from chile and she is Mexican, they were looking for conversation with all the clients, very friendly, nice and funny. There are not many people who serve with that quality today, we are coming back for sure

Absolutely the best coffee in the city. I go here everyday now as I work near and as a person crazy for coffee this is one of my favourite places ever. The staff are just so nice and helpful and give the personal touch, the coffee is strong but full of flavor and actually does its job when you drink it. The prices are outstanding for the city centre. Do yourself a favor and try this place. You will not regret it.

Been here twice - once for a bagel sandwich and flat white, the second time for a flat white. The sandwich was tasty, and the coffee hit the spot. Service is brisk and I’d be happy to return.

Easily one of the best cafes in Cork. The baristas are so friendly and welcoming, they make amazing quality coffee and they're always happy to impart their knowledge to the customer. They also stock lots of different roasters around Ireland so it's the perfect place to pick up a new bag of beans.

I have started visiting Nectar Coffee on a regular basis. I really enjoy their coffee and they seem to be consistent and get it right every time. They have a nice selection of cakes and sandwiches etc which are always to tempting to resist. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The coffee shop itself is small and comfortable, it's a cosy place to sit, comtemplate and to enjoy your coffee.

Vegan options for meals, sweets, and coffee. Nice food, very good employees. I stopped by when I was having a bad day. The friendly Barista could see I was upset and spoke to me. I calmed down after talking with her.

I had a flat white, it was really good but tepid and in a cup not much bigger than an espresso size, it was gone in 2 gulps also it took about 10 minutes to be made and no one ahead of me !!
