I’d never had a cannoli before, and my roommate said she only ever buys them from Sicilian Delights as they’re authentically made there so I decided to try it. They were.. AMAZING!!! So so good! The pistachio one (green) was to die for!! And the chocolate and white one (can’t remember the filling) were also so good!! I could eat ten of these! It was my first time eating from Sicilian Delights, but if these cannolis are anything to go by, I’ll definitely be back to try more of their food! Would absolutely recommend this place, get the pistachio cannoli!!

Love everything about this petite Italian cafe. I mean, premium quality food and coffee but with affordable price! My ultimate fav is their Pistachio dessert selections. Keep it up Sicilian Delights.

Being a sicilian myself I felt I had to try this café, my Irish and Italian friends were talking about. So I decided to go there with my family for a Saturday lunch. I was pleasently surprised of the place and the menu they offered. We decided to go for panini with salsiccia, caprese salad and mini cannoli with chocolate. We liked them all, especially the cannoli. We ordered lemonade and red orange juice from Etna area. It was nice to sit al fresco. I felt almost like home (Sicily) with the Irish weather. Highly recommended

Competitive pricing, high standard of reviews set unrealistic expectations leading to disappointment. The coffee was quite underwhelming though affordable, I assumed it was cheap in an attempt to replicate Italian pricings but it seems more likely they achieve it by not having freshly ground coffee, opting instead for an automated coffee bag machine. We have the same machine in the bar I work at for coffee based cocktails, it's functional enough. Service was quite cold and dismissive, felt like I was intruding on their conversations with each other, it was just after the lunch time rush though so I can sympathize if they were jaded and/or decompressing as I work late nights in service, it happens. That being said the afternoon is my "morning" and I enjoy feeling more welcome before I've had my first coffee and bite to eat. I asked for a vegetarian panini which was out of stock, fair enough post-lunch, however there was no attempt to offer me any alternative or to suggest something else I may like to try. At that stage I didn't particularly care enough anymore to make my own enquiries so I had my coffee and left I had hopes this might become my new regular spot but I think I fell for the aggressive marketing and high standard of reviews. I will probably stick to Soma for the fresher coffee and more welcoming atmosphere 2.5/5 pretty typical café experience, not worth becoming a regular for coffee, cannot comment on the food other than to say the pricings seem very reasonable which I love to see. I'm going to try it again at some stage. EDIT: As I cannot seem to reply to the owners reply I shall leave this edit here. I would like to say that there is absolutely no scenario where coffee ground in Sicily and then shipped all the way to Ireland will be as high quality as freshly ground. Coffee loses approximately 60% of it's aroma within 15 minutes of being ground. ''Manual'' (I mean they're pretty automated too) espresso machines also have stabilized temperature so I don't know why they brought that up. As for local temperature, Sicily has a more drastic temperature range than Ireland so it's actually more stable here than there though this should be an almost negligible factor in a temperature controlled building when brewing espresso. If they want to talk about the effects of humidity on product quality and integrity then they've kind of shot themselves in the foot. It's better to have a variable system (in house grinder) in order to adjust for local changes in humidity, as humidity increases we grind courser and vice versa to maintain an even and consistent product. That's how you maintain the coffees ''integrity''. Having their product ground in a country with completely different humidity to Ireland, preventing opportunity for adjustment, introduces another layer of randomness, not great for integrity. Unless of course they grind it in Sicily with Irish humidity in mind? Makes no sense at all...just grind it here. The honest truth is that they can't because they've committed to the bags, which is fine! I never claimed it was low quality, it's better than I can make at home. No issue with their way of operation, it's a perfectly valid product. However what I DO have an issue with is passing off the effect of those differences as being a result of my personal taste and ''palate'' as if I don't know better. It's quite disingenuous and a little sneaky if I'm honest, sounds to me like I hit a little too close to home... I couldn't care less whether they use coffee bags or not, I was personally underwhelmed by the coffee as many 5 star reviews had specifically mentioned it but I wasn't disappointed given the price and I understood the price given the method of production which we've just discussed. They didn't take the opportunity to improve my experience as a customer with their reply. Instead they disregarded my disappointment, implied it was my fault and then used my review as an opportunity to display some damage control to the public in case anybody is influenced by my experience.

I’ve been frequenting Sicilian Delights for the past since 2018 or so when they opened first offering downstairs seating only. I used the love the price of their focaccia, which was the best value in town for the size and how deliciously nourishing it is, best enjoyed with the side salad when seated within premises. Of course prices have gone up since but I’m still glad to have the opportunity to get the affordable vegetarian focaccia and sometimes the veggie panini and the expanding array of smaller bites - focaccino, calzones, fried meatballs and other savories, even more deligjts for those with a sweet tooth☺️ I enjoyed the gnocchi with smoked salmon which I ordered today first time. Priced at €9, it was a beautiful dish and slightly more than what I would normally pay for lunch. I wish I wasn’t charged €1 extra for the cup of hot water that I requested - half a cupful that was offered in a glass with coffee stains around the rim. Personally, I’ve always found the service staff too direct, sometimes almost intimidating to interact with, more so when there’s a queue, so I chose not to point this out and simply left it behind. As I’m used to ordering at any cafe or restaurants a mug or tiny pot of hot water (usually offered with a slice of lemon) as a digestive and this is the first time I was charged for it, naturally I was surprised. I’m guessing this might be to discourage such requests since Sicilan Delights is always busy with students and even staff from the campus nearby. I’m happy for the success of this place both here and in the Marina market as Dario’s food is fresh, home-made and delicious, and he uses good quality ingredients and they’re a hardworking crowd who deserve success. I’m looking forward to the launch of their new branch in the city.

Yummy! Got this place recommended via a friend of mine and now passing the recommendation on. Great food and very reasonable prices. Very popular with the college crowd as it's just around the corner from UCC.

I have been using Sicilian Delights since it opened and always a delightful experience. All home cooked and baking. Best coffee at great prices. Sampled most items on menu and all good, authentic and fresh, good quality ingredients. Staff absolutely lovely . Also used them for take away pasta dishes during covid. Nothing is a trouble to them. Very hard working small business. Small attractive outdoor space without rain cover. Local to UCC so best avoided for students linch hour!! Summer is a dream there. They deserve your business. Long may they last!!

We were lucky enough to be staying right down the street from the Sicilian Delights. Such an amazing find. I went there every morning for my coffee and often delicious treats. The food was delicious!!

We ordered for catering and it was an absolute success. Considering that I am Sicilian my standards are quite high but the service did not disappoint. All the guests loved the food. I would definitely recommend!

Bought a delicious almond tart here - no photo, sorry - it was eaten too quickly!! Next time - and I'm dying to try some of the savoury offerings too - they looked and smelled gorgeous 😍

The place itself is small but you will be surprised by how amazing their food is. It's a two story shop where downstairs you will find a shared seating area and upstairs a few small tables and toilets. It's one of these places you pay before seating so depending on the time it can feel crowded in the blink of an eye, but a few minutes later it's quiet again. Their pasta was good and reasonably priced, but their pastries are the reason why I'm writing this review. They had hands down the best canolli I have ever tasted (and in comparison I have tried quite a few). We were supposed to just get 1 to share but ended up bringing 3 back home as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Honestly, you won’t find better tasting food for the price in cork! I visit often as it’s near my work, and feel like I can because the food is so well made and healthy (as healthy as pasta can be- made with fresh and minimal ingredients while still perfect flavours) while also being affordable.

Sicilian Delights truly impressed me with their mushroom gnocchi. The dish was absolutely outstanding, filled with rich flavors and a perfect balance of mushrooms and tender gnocchi. Each bite was a delight, and the portion was generous. Simply the best mushroom gnocchi I've ever tasted. Highly recommended!

Loved the place!! Would recommend to try Pistachio hot chocolate. A perfect place to hangout with friends, just book the place before so that there is no seating issue.

Great Italian food. Very well cooked, inflation busting value. Chef made a really nice dish of pasta and chicken for our 4 year old. Delicious!

We ordered and purchased a €45 euro vegetarian lasagna on Nov 9th. Absolutely terrible when cooked SATURATED with olive oil. Never again.

I love the food in here, but I CAN'T stand how unfriendly and rude a blonde Irish waitress is and how she treats every customer. Me and my friends will stop going here because of that unfriendliness. Such a pity because we used to go every week and I absolutely LOVE the food.

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Cork and what’s amazing about it is that it’s cafe style and prices so you can enjoy often (which we certainly do!) Excellent fresh Italian food- fresh sandwiches and filled breads, pasta made to order, lasagna and an incredibly beautiful and tasty selection of home made desserts. For my favourites, they have the best lasagna in Cork and I’m a big fan of their mushroom Gnocci and their doughnuts. Great coffee too and unbeatable value. A very easy 5 star review!

We went there Saturday morning and all of our food was prepared the day before and a little chewie, which is quite sad as the overall taste wasnt bad. The coffee was very good. You can get things that aren't served anywhere else in Cork. This is an interesting spot and I will try it again on another occasion.

I don’t have a sweet tooth. Stumbled upon this lovely corner cafe, ordered their pistachio & chocolate cannoli and a hot chocolate. Hot chocolate was a tad too sweet for me. Cannoli filling was full, prefer the chocolate flavour. Overall 5 stars as the sweetness wasn’t overwhelming (doesn make you mad thirsty)! Service was awesome ;) do sit upstairs esp on a hot day
