Honestly, this is one of the places I’d go to for a pick me up on a dreary day; you know you’re treating yourself when you go to Butlers. Their hot chocolates are phenomenal, I recommend trying whatever special hot chocolate is on offer, you won’t regret it! Their prices are only slightly higher than other hot chocolates in other cafes but there is a world of difference in the quality. Absolutely always worth it, and you also get a small little chocolate of your choice when you order one. So lovely!

You can never go wrong with Butler's Chocolate Café. Drinks were delicious however service lacked satisfaction. The ladies working behind the counter were cold and seemed to have no customer service skills whatsoever.

A great selection of coffee widespaces and great views of whintrop Street very busy. The selection of chocolates are mind boggling. Try the coconut selection very tasty, goes well with a nice strong coffee. Also get the local paper just feet away and a choice to sit outside or in. Highly recommended.

The best chocolate in town. I tried many times specially the White Hot Chocolate and Hot Chocolate and Cappuccino. The truffle is good too and the selection of chocolate.

Good coffee but expected great coffee. Chocolates are really nice and a great touch to get one free with a drink. Store design and layout provides a great display of chocolates and pastries. Staff helpful and somewhat friendly. Would like to see more from this store around coffee - perhaps single origins and a focus on something special.

Excellent coffee and the free chocolate treat is nice. However, the consistently unwelcoming staff, who rarely greet you with a hello or smile, detracts from the overall experience. I won't be returning.

Heaven for chocolate lovers of Cork. Delicious Irish chocolates, tasty and always creative boxes and props depending on the season. Team is welcoming and kind. Nice place to take a break or grab a delicious hot chocolate to go! I recommend!

Take out may be an easier choice. A lot of choice and I hope there are more description on each item.

I ordered a mocha and chose the truffle chocolate. This combination was a little too chocolatey for me, but both were individually good. Instead, I should have ordered coffee to combat the richness of the chocolate.

Been here a couple of times and enjoyed it. The staff were good and I enjoyed the drinks and the nice chocolate that came with it.

So as the kids would tell me Butler's has the absolutely the best hot chocolate they have ever tasted in their life. Me hearing this for the last 5 days I thought to myself could it really be that good so I let them talk me into one. And yes it absolutely was that good which is why I also bought two packages of it to take home with me. They also have great coffee they have chocolates that you can just get out of the cases. And again as usual all over Ireland the service and the people or very pleasant and inviting. Something else I've noticed is that the coffee or iron that is absolutely amazing too and this place probably has the best Americano that I had over the last 7 days in Ireland. Not that it's hard to make an Americano but I'm just saying.

Loved this place! Every night we would pop in for some rocky road bar treats (taste like s'mores in bar form), coffee and hot chocolate (some of the best hot chocolate I've had!). With every drink, we also picked out a yummy truffle and they were incredible! Our nightly trips were very reasonable, but we didn't try the more expensive chocolates. I wish we had one of these places back home!

Love this place for cappuccino or a cold caramel macchiato. They have the best salted caramel chocolates

I was in here with a friend just before Christmas and sampled some of their chocolates ~ absolutely divine. It's like melting into Chocolate Nirvana when the flavours seize your taste buds.!. I didn't try their coffee but its meant to be top class also. A special Thank you to a lovely member of staff called Carolina ( or maybe Karolina). Anyway she was so pleasant, patient and helpful. And they're were very big crowds they're but Karolina stayed very calm and really efficient. Thank you

Very good place for having a coffee, a little pricey a would say and very small shop, very difficult to find a table and the staff made a litlle confusion with the orders, but the coffee is great. I would recommend the carrot cake. We'll, just go on guys and enjoy!

An amazing café! The hot chocolate there is more than just delicious especially the dark chocolate one, They warn you before you order it because of the strength and they also give you a free chocolate of your choice with it. The staff there are super nice and kind, Not many seats but the place isn't too busy during week, I definitely recommend going here for a nice and rich tasting hot chocolate or chocolate themselves.

I am in love with there hot chocolate drink . Its economical only around 4 euros . Always go for take away rather dine in this way you can get more quantity . I noticed for several times that when ever i buy hot chocolate it gets cold very soon . So i requested to get a more heated drink .and believe me it was amazing. It was hot for like half and hour .

Rude staff. They didn't stop talking and laughing between themselves while serving and wouldn't even make eye contact to acknowledge you or even say hello.

Probably the only real chocolatier in Cork. The English market one imports and Belgian chocolate is not Cork made. This place is fantastic. Great chocolate and many options. I loved all the Easter eggs and the staff was very helpful. My sister and I have a tradition of bringing back from travels a mix chocolate box from a local chocolatier. It’s my turn this time. :) Worth it!
