👍👍 Hands down the best coffee in Cork city. The treats are unreal: any of them, but ‘death by peanut butter’ is super delish. Staff is nice too (extra points for not making me feel awkward when i spoiled the coffee earlier on today). Highly recommended. People often mention coffee, Cork, friendly, staff, nice, great, delicious,

Great coffee place to chill out with friends or family in the summer😎& great to do some work there on the laptop during the cold months. I recommend anyone that likes coffee or some delicious cakes to check out.

Not even a one star. I will give minus five stars. The staff are cold there is no such a thing as customer service here. I spent 3.10$ for these as you can see on the pictures;)

Best walk in atmosphere of any coffee shop I've ever been to and I've been all over the US, especially the NW. 10/10. Coffee was great and beautiful, dessert was beautiful and satisfying.

Slick location with heaps of character. Wonderful customer service and most importantly amazing coffee. Espresso is out of this world. A top choice for coffee lovers looking for authenticity, class and style.

Great coffee. Probably the best we had in Cork. Chilled and laid back vibe. Loved it.

Excellent cappuccino and a carrot cake. The staff was very friendly, and there was plenty of seating outside to enjoy some beautiful weather. Two thumbs up!

Edit: There's been a significant decline in the quality of coffee served here. I used to recommend it to anyone visiting cork but no longer do as it's so inconsistent. I like a strong coffee but it has become extremely harsh and not enjoyable. Edit: I normally order a flat white and I would say in the last 6-9 months the coffee has been worse. I got the CBD coffee on one visit which was close to undrinkable. By strong I mean that the coffee and milk isn't mixing well. There's an overpowering taste of harshly flavored coffee which isn't enjoyable. It should be far more balanced.

The cookie was fine, but the chocolate on top of it was a bit melted. The coffee was ridiculously expensive and small and the hot chocolate was a joke. The employees rushed us and made us feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable.

During my first visit ever to Cork last week, I had a great coffee at Soma Coffee Company. It's a very cool and inviting place with a super friendly staff! I really loved the interior design, the atmosphere and the coffee. I am a coffee addict and I visited the place several times exploring different types of coffee. Loved it!

The atmosphere is calming, the staff are friendly and seem to thrive under the pressure of the rush hours which is always a good sign! I've had many a coffee here and never been disappointed, would easily spend hours here.

Great cappuccino, ok chocolate croissant (not sure when it was made). Staff was cheerful and accommodating. Pleasant to sit outside in the morning watching people walk by and the crows drinking and bathing at the fountain nearby.

There's a great selection of different types of coffee here. It caters to a everyone in my opinion. The lads know what they're doing and the coffee is amazing. They offer treats and sandwiches as far as I can see. Reminds me of coffee shops in Amsterdam and Berlin. Very relaxed atmosphere and it's very welcoming.

I've ordered from Soma and the coffee selection is excellent. Needed support for an order recently and they were extremely quick to respond and helpful. Definitely going to drop into the cafe when I'm in Cork!

One of the best places for coffee in Cork. I visit here almost every week. Prices reasonable, and lots of delicious treats available. Staff friendly, nice atmosphere and always good music playing. Outdoor area is lovely and always a nice buzz.

My favourite place to go in the city for a coffee, the staff are lovely and will always be willing to have a chat, as I’m a regular some of them even remember my order which makes me feel special lol! Overall great coffee and great staff :)

Staff is not friendly, was given coffee in a paper cup without even warning that 1 hour before closing time they do not give mugs for coffee, even though they mentioned that to other customers who came after me, poor service, there are better places in the city to enjoy coffee for example two places with the name “Bookshelf”

Ordered an extra shot extra hot latte with a piece of carrot cake and a mango granola yogurt just before lunchtime. The coffee was absolutely delicious, as was the other food. We were able to find a table inside, and the guy serving up the drinks was friendly and welcoming. The extra shot could have had something to do with it, but as an aficionado (I have a Rocket at home), I think I have to say this was the best coffee I received on my visit to Cork, and I have had several from many of the third wave outlets. Full points to you guys.

Got here casually, but it was the best scone I ever had, freshly baked. I'm Italian and I can assure you that this cappuccino was one of the best I had in Cork.

Whenever I get a coffee by Soma, I am always disappointed. Crazy boiling hot and often burnt. I am not a coffee connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination, all I can tell is that the coffee is always disappointing, and I have tried several times.

Read it was a Cork tradition to have a scone with coffee and have to say the scones here are delicious. Coffee very good as well. Personally would prefer it a little stronger, but still excellent.

The place itself is nice with lots of outdoor seating. Drinks were alright, the scones, however, were horrible, so wouldn't recommend getting those.

I had a cappuccino in SOMA this morning, and the coffee I received was delicious! The staff were very friendly and had the patience to talk though the sizes of coffees available to me. The prices are as expected for a nice coffee shop, and there was plenty of seating available. As someone new to the city, I appreciated that there were leaflets available showcasing local events and artists. Overall a would highly recommend SOMA! You can use the Squid app for loyalty too, so bonus points!

Very poor customer service. Went in twice over the weekend and get ignored at the till while the guys are having their own conversations behind bar in front of a queue of customers. Tables were dirty. Had to clean myself with a napkin before sitting down. Wouldn't recommend.

bad service they offer you free coffee, but cold instead of making a new one. the coffee base on espresso is overheated . it's anything but no a specialty coffee shop

The coffee at SOMA is delicious. They have a cosy space to sit and chat while enjoying a hot brew and the team is super friendly and knowledgeable about coffee. One of the best coffees in Cork.

Ordered online and the entire process was excellent from order to shipping - it was quick and easy. Only nitpick would be I enjoy light roast coffees, and having roast intensity on-site would be helpful for me ordering again in the future. Not a major problem as I am open to new flavours, but it would be nice to know.

👍 Breakfast / lunch option are great. Busy place on a weekends, best to book in advance. They offer gluten free toast (please ask in advance). The roast potatoes are just fantastic
