Wow, after a weekend of trying different food places in Cork city, this one was my favourite! The food was Amazing, but the staff were the best part! Richie was so great and funny looking after us! Also they have their own Coffee brand which everyone should buy and try! We got the WaffleHof, the Ultimate Eggs Benedict and Kinder Bueno Pancakes between us and it was all delicious! Will definitely be back next time we're in Cork, not only for the Food but also for the chats!

Lovely deserts, lovely food! Visited few times already and always left happy and content. Reccomend! UPDATE: Lab82 has solidified it's status of our favorite place to eat in the city since I left my review 3 months ago. Food is consistently scrumptious and packed with flavor, no matter what we ordered it was both a lovely visual experience and a pleasure for the taste buds! Savory or sweet - you can't go wrong - their brownies, cookies and cakes are dangerously good (their sweet selection tastes just decadent) and their egg dishes are my favorite ones in the city. They have vegetarian dishes on the menu as well if you'd like to change things up a bit! If you are into coffee, you should definitely visit and try their delicious blends from around the world (which you can also buy and enjoy at home!), one of the silkiest coffee I had enjoyed was in the Lab. Located across the Kent railway station it is a perfect breakfast/brunch stop before a trip or after returning from one. The interior is eclectic and fun, offering you a chance to see what's cooking in the kitchen through a glass panel in the floor - nice touch for both adults and kids! They do have a website (you can order sweet goodies, cookies, brownies and cakes in their online bakery) and a QR code at the table (if coming with a group and wishing to pay through the app it can be handy). Staff is lovely, attentive and gives nice reccomendation if you're not sure what to go for. I like the fact the owner is interacting with everyone, ensuring we're getting the best experience and really makes you feel welcome, and adds a nice personal touch. Overall, this place is a 10/10 - both for locals and visitors. You'll enjoy gorgeous food, eat decadent deserts, drink really good coffee in a fun environment and feel welcome and tempted to return every day! Added photos of Eggs Florentine and Let's get smashed w/added mushrooms.

One of my favorite places to go within Cork, the menu whilst not extensive is all delicious, I've never had a meal here that didn't leave me satisfied. I'm a big fan of the Eggs Benedict / Florentine, the desserts are amazing as well. The general vibe and atmosphere in here is quite unique and really stands out amongst the other restaurants/ cafes within the city, they've a Plexi glass / glass panel built into the floor near the seated area which grants you a view into the kitchen where you can see the desserts being made. Portion sizes are good and the value for money is great here. The owner of the place is often around and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and adds a charm to the place you don't get elsewhere. Whilst I'm not a coffee enthusiast personally the coffee here was one of the best I've had. Option to order via QR code at the table also available for those who would rather less social interaction.

Went in here after getting off a train (across the road). It was late and they were getting ready to close so we just had coffee and cake. It was fine. I would like to go back and try some food as it looks good. It's worth checking out just for how it's decorated. Hard to describe really, never seen anything like it. Worth a look.

Lab 82. Across from Cork Train station. Walking distance from the city centre. Definately be back here. Had a brunch today. Just look at the photos! Friendly staff. Met the owner Richie, this guy knows what he is doing. Very retro.... Just go and experience it. Thankyou

The American pancakes were very good. Latte not great. Service wasn’t very friendly but the place was very busy and it was hot, so it’s understandable. The man who seemed to be the manager was very friendly however.

Lab 82 was such a lovely place, it was cosy to be inside there and I loved how retro it was. Myself and a friend got the Cookie Sunday and it was amazing. It was definitely value for money.

It was okish. I was expecting a bit more after reading reviews and seeing pics here. Food was tasty but too greasy and buttery for my taste. Lots of options to choose from, so maybe I just chose wrong one. Service is great, food arrived fast and staff were nice, friendly and treated us well!

I guess I was lucky to avoid a lunch time queue. Food was very good. The flavours were so clean! Loved the place and will come back.

Beautiful food here - had the Eggs Forester and it was divine! Bought a takeaway milkybar brownie and it was absolutely unreal! 🤤 lovely atmosphere in there, service was quick and friendly. One thing I’d suggest would be to serve freshly squeezed orange juice as the one I got tasted like it was from a carton, but that’s a minor thing! I can’t wait to go back and try something else from the menu!

Lab 82 is always good. After a short 10-15 queue, seat inside were given. Orders were taken quickly. There is a great menu covering the standard fare but also unusual dishes to suit all tastes. Good coffees and milkshakes too

Lab 82 is a great loction across from Kent Station to get some tasty food with friends and family! The staff are really nice and the proprietor Is very welcoming! The restaurant is very clean and the interior is really different and interesting decorations that give it a great vibe! The food is great quality! I've gotten the Ultimate Eggs Benedict a couple of times and it has never failed to delight! Today I decided to get the Angry Bird and it was amazing! Love their hot sauce and the seasoned fries are great! They also have a great variety of desserts to choose from and I highly recommend trying some out!

Back in here after many years new staff same great service delectable food and divine coffee highly suggest for a vibrant and relaxing coffee and food the design of the establishment is very eccentric in style in the most fabulous ways you will always spot something interesting on the walls. The owner is on the scene alot and very hands on very nice to see him checking around on all the customers.

The food is fantastic and big enough to fill an empty stomach. The great selection of cakes and treats go down well with nice cup of coffee and the milkshakes go great with everything and on there own. The service, staff and management are the best I've seen in a long time. Definite recommendation and just across the road from the train station.

Lovely cafe with good coffee and brunch. Right outside the train station, very popular.

Every member of staff had a smile and greeting for all customers. The decor a bit quirky which was a nice break from the norm. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Picture is what I had. This is the kind of place you can close your eyes and stick a pin in the menu and end up delighted with whatever you get. It's a must try and the second place I have been in Cork that I've said if it was my last supper I'd die smiling and full.

It was an amazing beautifully presented cake and the taste was on point. Not too much icing or sponge equally combined. So delighted with my cake and so was my 6 year old daughter. Would recommend to anyone 😀

From the moment you enter Lab 82, the presence of ambience takes you somewhere special. A rather eclectic decor absolutely makes it stand out from all other coffee shops. Their home-brewed coffee is what we call in South Africa “moer-koffie“ - this potion wakes you up, and let’s you know that it’s doing so. Richie made for an incredibly gratuitous and welcoming host. The food itself was definitely something to write home about, and I’ll be going back to sample the rest of the menu.

This is a fabulous experience if you’re in cork. Perfect delicious Eggs Benedict and a full Irish and the best service we’ve ever had. Really friendly and professional staff and we loved the design, especially the ducks! Food and coffees amazing. Highly recommended. Right beside the train station and The Dean. Best breakfast ever

Food was good, nicely presented and generous but was missing of green option, like a bit of salad of tomatoes on the side to make the plates healthier (pictures of ultimate eggs Benedict and lucha libre attached).... Desserts were too sweet for us (we got a Biscoff and a brownie) V60 coffee with Kenyan beans were nice. Service was ok but I think one of the staff was on training as she looked a bit lost with the name of the plates or when to serve us. The atmosphere was good as very active and we loved that window that gives a look into the kitchen downstairs but we were beside the entrance and people kept the front door opened all the time, which is very annoying when you're eating and constantly have a cold draft on you... Maybe it would be good to consider a door that closes alone to prevent that ?? In conclusion, totally worth going there, just take an extra jacket if near the door.

If there was more stars to give here I would, absolutely amazing food the cakes are top tier and the food quality is amazing coffee all uniquely blended superb taste. This is by far the best place in Ireland for sweet and savoury and price friendly too. The sweet treats are just to die for biscoff caramel slice and kinder cookie dough with caramel is just perfection. The lab have something for everyone and the staff are also super friendly and attentive the owners and head chef always make the effort with everyone too making this place the best around. Please don’t ever stop doing what ye are doing 🤤

Stopped here for breakfast based on the reviews, ended up being quite disappointed. I ordered the Ultimate Eggs Benedict and a Flat White. The presentation was fabulous, however the eggs were overcooked, the hollandaise and potatoes were bland, and the coffee tasted like dirt. The manager had a new coffee made for me, and it was exactly the same. Gave 1 extra star as I was not made to pay for the meal.

It was our first time and we loved this place. The food was so delicious, probably in all of Cork. The vibe is great. People are super friendly. I had this amazing, out of earth special they served for the first time the day we visited. It was this creative mix of a duck leg, waffle, fried egg and syrup. It was just out of this world. I hope they put it on the menu. My new favorite place for sure. ♥️

Amazing spot for breakfast and lunch or even a quick coffee break. Lots of different delicious options for desserts as well. Would highly suggest the bacon maple syrup waffles, no better way to start your weekend morning! Lovely staff and lots of space inside and some out to enjoy your meal.
