Terrible place! Staff are very rude and nasty with an irrational and unwarranted aggressive nature! I was buying alcohol and the female employee, who 'served' me, looked like some sort of degenerate/subhuman who I had the misfortune of choosing, not knowing her unpleasant and standoffish attitude, demanded to see my ID. I am 27 and have been told I look 24 at the youngest, I showed her my public services card, she scowled, shook her head and snapped and said something along the lines of no that's not acceptable, and I smiled and laughed, trying to lighten the mood and said I'm flattered I still look young enough to be asked for ID and this only seemed to make her angrier. I showed her my Garda Age Card and she continued to double down with her rudeness. It was as though she was punishing me for choosing to buy alcohol. Every question she asked me was laced with a mean and hostile attitude which was totally uncalled for as I was being entirely reasonable and easygoing the whole time. I almost never post reviews, not unless the service was outstanding and the experience amazing, or the service was awful and the experience horrible. In this case it was definitely the latter. I can see from the other reviews on here that the staff of this store appear to have an attitude problem and I entirely agree. I don't recommend this place to anyone.

Tesco should make effort to recruit staff with some manners, or at least staff who are not Racist!!! I am non native English speaker and new to Ireland. Today I ask a young female member of staff if an item is in stock. She understand me and she told me where to find it. I thanked and made my way to the fridge.. All ok until now... BUT (keep reading) While walking away about 10 seconds later I heard her remark to a coworker "OK, that was weird..." If she wants to laugh at my accent or my level of English, at least she could have waited until I was outside hearing distance!!! Shocking disrepect for a customer!!!

This Tesco has the worst check out setup of any grocery store I have ever been in. The queues through the checkout tills are long and slow. There is not enough manned tills and there are not enough self service tills that accept cash. Do not shop here if you are only buying an handful of item's, the wait at the tills will not be worth the effort You will be far better off shopping elsewhere

Middle of the city with city parking space on top. Pay and park only. Usually a queue there coz of covid restrictions. Priority queue for senior citizens and health care workers.open untill 10 at night.phone network may be unavailable at times. Keep it in mind😊

The store has a pay car park very convenient to the city centre it just lost its clothing department which is a shame but it does stock the delicious award winning kinsale bay food range of pate, fish pie and soups

I had a wonderful experience with a cashier at this Tesco location. Ashley (I hope I got the spelling right), was incredibly kind and provided me with outstanding customer service. As a Canadian tourist, I really appreciated her friendly, welcoming attitude. Thanks a bunch!!!!

They have virtually all brands you will need. They also have a self-serve option and a seating area just in front of it. But there's no service for your phone. So you may have to connect to their Wi-Fi if you need internet.

I am updating my rating as this store is to be avoided like the plague. They have no more rules on social distancing anymore, and the amount of people that should be in the store at all times. There are always crowds upon crowds of people. Very smart move in the middle of a case surge.

They destroyed my revolut card after I had rang in advance and confirmed I was coming to collect it. Apparently it's policy to destroy them after 24 hours but I was never told about this when I made contact.

Large queues for paying at peak time (in the afternoon at around 5 pm). Too overcrowded. Should be revamp the shop and adapt it to the high volume costumers

Good Luck to find basics like, rice, chicken breast, bananas, BREAD, even if you find them, they will possibly be smashed or out of date.... Good if you go early in the morning. The last two months is a total mess...it feels like going to a postapocalyptic site where people run around desperately to get low quality rubbish. Avoid if you can...

You should teach your security guard how to read the time. Shop was closed before 10pm which proceeded with her shouting closed, closed, closed at people coming towards the shop. Little old women.

I dont normally post reviews but I have to say this shop has the most horrible staff i have ever encountered , especially the two middle aged eastern european women, the blonde one in particular, I am surprised she is working there after all this time, she would probably be better suited to a job where she does't have to deal with the public , her attitude is horrible and downright miserable.

😠 The bakery re-labels baked goods from previous days to seem fresher than they really are. I bought croissants at 07:30 in the morning that were tougher than shoe leather and was refused a refund.
