Beautiful scenery and tranquil place which is off the beaten path, most people don't know about this particular friary which makes it more appealing, well worth a visit

A just off the beaten track beauty. Go visit the tomb of Art OLeary, murdered by an Englishman for refusing to give up his fine horse.

Just happened to be driving by this off the beaten path Friary. Beautiful ruins in a picturesque setting. We had the whole place to ourselves to walk around and feel the history.

The Friary is a well situated well kept ruin of an early settlement. Great for history sight seeing and an hour to relax and enjoy the architecture and scenic views. Visit and share your experiences in this historical castle!

I noticed the high tasting of this friary, their I visited it. To bad you cannot climb anymore the friary, but still great to wander around. Interesting to see that it is still used as an active cemetery.

Beautiful ruins with alot of history to the area. Very old graves on site so please be respectful and take your rubbish back to the car with you. Also across from the Friary is kilcrea Castle when you come out from the gate. There is plaques showing the history of this area here aswell. Well worth the day out for here and the castle. Highly recommend. Irish history ❤️🇮🇪 I will be posting full video tour soon along with the castle tour on my YouTube channel Chris the rockers days out ❤️😉 full show around friary and the castle need to edit videos then will post 🏰
