I have been planning on coming to City Limits for nearly 10 years and I finally made it on Saturday! We had a great night out and I highly recommend attending a few shows! I have never been to a comedy club before and I have to say I will definitely be back as it was something different and really enjoyable! The City Limits venue is a medium sized venue that can comfortably take 150 to 200 people without being packed. Everyone has a table and they are arranged around the stage adjacent to the bar area. There was plenty of space between tables to walk through to get to the bar or restrooms. The club has been running for many years and has had some famous faces grace its doors so we could safely assume that the acts booked would be great quality! Firstly, the owner of the premises came on stage and welcomed the audience. He gave intros to the various acts for the night ahead and welcomed on local Cork comedian Paul Crowley! Paul was very funny and he got the night off to a great start! He intorduced each act onto the stage which began with Ian Burke from Galway who certainly got the crowd laughing followed by the City Limits Barman who had his own act! Finally Paul intorduces the main headline act, Terry Alderton to the stage and he gave a fantastic performance! Terry has so much energy put into his show it was amazing!

Fabulous night out in the great city limits comedy club. If its a great night your after with plenty laughs you won't be one bit disappointed. They always has great acts that deliver fornomanal comedy. The staff are also very catering in looking after all your needs. It is a number 1 comedy club in the heart of Cork City. I'd highly recommend it for anyone that's up for a good night of laughs

I had a fantastic time in the comedy club. I loved that there was a variety of humour from each performer so anyone could enjoy it. It was very easy to get to and staff were very friendly and helpful. The venue had a nice vibe to it also.

Had a great time last night at City Limits Comedy Club. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a few drinks and laughs with their friends. Great staff and a great venue. Looking forward to going back!!

Went to Cork Limits Comedy Club for the best of cork special and we will most definitely be back!! Brian is brilliant and the line up was amazing. What a night, can’t wait to come back again soon!! And all the times after that!!

Owner held us at (water) gun point for this review. Apparently Tommy Tiernan and Chris Kent are performing this Christmas. Will be back. 5 stars.

A pleasant atmosphere here. A drinks bar, a few low circular tables to seat four in from the stage with larger tables behind them. Two acts preceded the main act. Whilst all three acts were similar each of them were very good. The only reason City Limits didn’t get the 5 stars was that for me it was cold inside - enough that I had to leave my coat and scarf on. So if you don’t feel the cold you’ll be fine!

We had a great night at the comedy club :)) four comedians and the very funny manager and bartender himself made our evening unforgettable :) highly recommended and definitely not the last time <3

A great night out with friends! Highly recommend. Went to see Chris Kent in this comedy club for my birthday, thoroughly enjoyed it . I went with a few friends who were all raving about it after too. Definitely would recommend it for something a little different on a night out. The owner of the venue did the warm-up/intros to the acts and is gas! You can tell he is into his comedy so you can safely assume the acts booked will be quality too. Even the barman did his own act! The place is all about the comedy. When we were there, he even gave out treats (tayto & rolos) before the acts started which was a nice touch to welcome us back after lockdown! The venue itself is quite big (decent bit of space between tables), clean and comfortable. There also wasn't any major queues for the bar which is still within ears distance of the stage so you don't miss out regardless.

Went to this place for the first time after we won tickets at work, not really knowing what to expect. I‘m not much into standups but there was a lovely atmosphere, good craic, good laughs. Would need to keep an eye on for future acts from here on out.

Always a great night is had at the Comedy Club. Great entertainment, friendly welcoming staff and the owner himself Brian is always so helpful. I cannot recommend it enough for a great night out in the city.

Went to see David Mc Savage (savage eye) in the Comedy Club. We had an amazing night out it's fantastic Venue with really good atmosphere, close up to the comedians. It has q really central location in Cork city and there's some really nice bars and restaurants om the same street. Can't wait for our next visit. 5 stars*****

Great spot. First time here, saw Paul Crowley (warm up) and David McSavage. Great set up, with very friendly staff. Perfect for a entertaining night in Cork City.

While roaming downtown Cork on Monday, 8th of July, we discovered this gem of a comedy club because of statues of Laurel & Hardy atop the building. We might not have noticed the neon orange building otherwise. Said we to ourselves, "We must do Friday night in Cork to hear these local comedians." They did not disappoint! We had a jolly good time, they were all fresh, original, and unique in their storytelling styles and punchlines. Delivering to an internationally diverse audience, they rose and met the challenge bravely, and they made all of us laugh a lot! Thank Heaven for comedians! How would we manage dire straits without them?

I wish I could say that I enjoyed our evening here. We tried to buy a couple of drinks before the show and the staff acted as if it was an inconvenience to them: We knew the support act and were treated like dirt. We were much quieter in comparison to those around us yet we were “targeted” because we didn’t fit the mould. VERY happy to say I won’t ever be coming back. They’re here for the money and nothing else. I feel sorry for the local comedians trying to break the market but this venue couldn’t care less about them

I highly recommend city limits. I went to see David McSavage with my girlfriend and it was a great laugh and the support act was just as entertaining. The venue is great and the staff were very accommodating. Will definitely be going again

Such a great night in City limits comedy club. Brian, the owner, couldn’t have been nicer. He’s a true supporter of Irish comedy and the club is a little gem in the heart of Cork city. Can’t wait to go back to another gig!

I highly recommend City limits as a venue for a night out in Cork.The last show I was at was Andrew Ryan in 2019 and Tommy tiernan prior to that . very good and I thoroughly enjoyed them! With Covid I haven’t been back yet but i will definitely be in the near future. nice staff, no queuing for drinks, I find it a very enjoyable evening, I love the smaller intimate audience, the relaxed table seating and I love the atmosphere there. It has what I imagine an American jazz club kind of vibe. 10/10.

Went to see David McSavage in the Comedy Club and what a night we had! It was brilliant. The venue was great, had a spacious bar, the gig itself was in a perfect sized room. The warm up act was a local guy and he was hilarious. Really enjoyed the night and will definitely go back again and again!
