Staff is always so helpful and coffee is delicious. The area to sit outside is a great bonus. The only complaint I have is that the music inside is a little bit too loud. I usually go there on my lunch break and try to unwind a bit but the volume might be a bit too much sometimes. Otherwise everything is lovely 😊

I took my baby daughter to Costa with some other mom's and got a Chai Latte. About half an hour after we arrived, I stood up and my daughter managed to reach my cup, pull it over and spill a large amount of it everywhere. The staff were so gracious and helpful, cleaning everything up and not letting me help, even bringing me a new drink on the house. I'll definitely be going back again 😊

Lots of flies on food making the choices available only prepackaged goods which was not great. Can't imagine it would pass a health and hygiene audit. Just cover the food to protect from insects etc.

Not language-learners friendly. My wife does not manage very well with English. She ordered three frappes, but two of them were for my daughters and had coffee in it. She told the staff that that was not what she wanted. They started to laugh, but offered to make again the drinks. After waiting for 15 minutes (and they being idle) no drink came. So we had to return the drinks and go out without enjoying them. Not a very pleasant story. My advice is to choose another place to have your drinks if you are not aware of the offerings of this franchise or if you cannot speak English very well. There are plenty of places to enjoy your drinks with nicer (and helping) staff.

Great little coffee place. It's one of my places to go to when I visit the UK and now Ireland. Always good coffee and the food and pastries are good. Great location.

Probably the best Costa Coffee cafe in Cork for seating space. Coffee size's are generous. Good central location. Prices are only ok. Quality of coffee and cakes is ok, nothing great. One recent improvement is that they are now covering the cakes because they used to be covered in flies. The cleanliness of the establishment is just about passable. Overall I would rate it as average.

I can understand the conditions under which the staff work (busy place etc) but would be nice if they pay a bit attention to their behaviours. They charged me more by mistake (mango passion frappe instead of passion fruit tart) and I realized it when I was leaving the shop. When I explained the issue to one of the staff collecting the thing on the tables he said "he has nothing to do with it" and wanted me "go check on the till" with a passive aggresive tone. I was just a tourist there and had no time to enter the queue again since I had to leave immidiately, so did not even try to get the amount refunded. 1-2 € max is not a big deal but no harm in being a bit nice.

Location and facility are lovely but staff really poor in terms of customer service, not really kind with clients. Also products like cakes are always dry or old, need some improvements this coffee shop!

Wow! What can I say about this Costa? It's truly magical. I think this may be the no.1 Costa worldwide! Shout-out to Bailey for her exceptional service and skill at making a high quality coffee. Please give her a pay rise or the day off!

I always enjoy Costa... Great food, lovely coffees, very generous sized cups. The noise can be off-putting ... A lot of crashing and banging of trays, cups, etc and the coffee machines are very loud. But I still like it. The toilets were not the cleanest when I visited. I had to use toilet paper and hand soap on the loo seat and sink before I could use it.

Hot chocolate is not the best and prices are way high. The atmosphere is loud, but chairs are good. So are the people behind the counter. The service is awesome.

Staff were lovely. But the coffee was the most disgusting thing! 🫣 I ordered oats mocca (5.15 for coffee is i remember right!) and I think there was some artificial sweetener in the chocolate or something, or maybe the oats milk is so bad at costa. But it was literally impossible to drink it. Sorry Costa, I'll stick to insomnia, their oats mocca is delicious

I meet up with friends here, and I like the window position, where I can see people and cars coming and going. We've been talking about each other's childhoods. It's been five months since I left China and I miss my mom very much. The barista is also Chinese, and it was the first time to order coffee in Chinese.

The portions are incredibly generous. The staff are lovely, but there are some flies in the window by the muffins and pastries, maybe a cover could help avoid them ?

Been to this Costa today, it was the worst I ever been. I saw flies sitting on top of the cakes and pastry (photo attached). It was so disgusting!!! The workers have no clue the flies were flying around and the cakes and pastry should be covered to prevent flies.

Been a customer since the first day it opened and to this day the furniture and a few other parts of the place need to be changed they can refurbish other Costa Franchise's but not the ones tthat need doing and the Management are a waste of time aswell you try talk to them about the problems in their and they dont even want to listen to customers feedback cause customers i know have spoken to me about the way the place is...

Brought my mother to costa at merchant's Quay cork. Mam had hit chocolate which was made way too strong so I asked the girl could she add milk or water whichever they use.. She was so rude when I asked this no apology and slammed the glass down kept her back to me.. I felt like swinging out of her pigtails but being the lady I am I returned to the table and took a few deep breaths! It doesn't cost anything to be nice,I think this member of staff needs some customer service training and also some training on how many scoops of hot chocolate to use per cup!

  • 4/5 Brian K. 1 year ago on Google
Very expensive, but a good selection of toasties , pastries and sweats . Coffee could be stronger , but that's just a personal preference.

I come here all the time for my Hot Chocolate and I always end up getting a girl called Rachel. Shes the kindest, most accommodating staff member Ive met in any Costa and always goes above and beyond to make sure Im happy with the service. Makes a good cup of coffee too! Thaaaaanks!:)

I had coffee in this case a cappuccino and a toasty ham and cheese which they heat it up. The food was good. It's not a five-star restaurant. The food is just basic food to eat & to fill you. I always check the Wi-Fi and to say that the Wi-Fi sucked. Yeah it was there. It worked. You're not going to watch or stream Netflix, but it worked. That's the best I can say it worked. The young ladies who were behind the counter prevented me from a big mistake. There was a ham and cheese something in the leather, ham and cheese something and I picked one and they said oh. Do you really want that? That's vegan. Absolutely no vegan for me so they save me. They were very sweet. The atmosphere was nice. You didn't have to worry about intruding on somebody else's or somebody else's conversation and truly on yours. Plenty of room. Plenty of seats.

Costa Coffee is a franchise. There are many other amazing local cafes that specialize in speciality coffee. Meaning that they support local farmers in their home countries. Besides that speciality coffee has a wide range of flavours. The shop itself is wheelchair accessible. There's wheelchair accessible parking nearby. They do meet the HSE requirements. You ll need to wear a mask when entering the shop. #accessible #familyfriendly #wheelchairaccessible #groupseating #hseapproved

The coffee was good but not good enough to make up for how dirty the place was. The bathrooms need to be totally renovated, the chair and cushions were really worn and dirty too. I’m not local but if I was I’d go to the Starbucks down the street The staff wasn’t that friendly either. The wall and art was nice. Just feel like it’s not being managed properly.

I was queuing for my order with a queue of about five people behind me. Meanwhile 3 members of staff are barely serving us and talking to each other. One was on her phone and another was calling over us talking to the other staff. Was a bit of a joke. Also my coffee was cold. The girl that served me put my food onto a tray covered in brown water.
