Me and my family have been with Shields clinic for a few years. We are happy with the overall experience so far but recently I was unfairly charged for a check up visit. I was said that the visit is free of charge and is included in my rooth canale treatment plan. I tried to explain the situation to the receptionist but they contacted with Dr Ahmed who carried the check up and he decided to charge me anyway. I paid under protest, I think a situation like this is unacceptable.

I was called today to be informed that my appointment had been cancelled due to the dentist Dr.Ahmed's books being full. In shorter words they decided to replace my appointments with someone else's. Honestly, don't bother going here - I know I won't. They're a collection of the most money grabbing people in the county. When going in for an extraction, in the midst of my distress and pain the nurse made this massive judgmental deal of me getting a extraction over a root canal. Don't bother.

All started with some general dentist which went fine. As I required some further work, Implants/orthodontics/occlusion correction, I was reffered to another in-house dentist for my next steps. After being charged in excess of €220 between what I paid and my health insurance paid, I was advised nothing could be done before I saw another in house dentist, at a further cost to me. And when I raised this as an issue, I was made to feel it was my fault for listening to the dentists advice.

I had my first treatment today in Shiels Dental, Castletroy Shopping Centre. Cathy the hygienist is superb. She spent so much time preparing me for my treatment and explained the type of care I needed for my teeth, absolutely no pain whatsoever. The only discomfort was keeping my mouth open. I highly recommend this dental practice to everyone. My next appointments are booked based on the experience I had today. Top Marks 👏👏

What can I say just I couldn't be so happier to be going to Shields Dental for the last two years now. My Dentist is so amazing 😍 so much that I feel safe going in knowing that I'm in the best place to get the job done. I was so nervous before going there as I thought there was no hope for me as previous dentist just wasn't doing what I ask for. So the only place for me is Shields Dental in Limerick.

Said I needed to sleep with a mouth guard for the rest of my life to keep my jaw aligned. Went back to my old dentist in cork (a family friend) who said it was nonsense. Last week I had a dental emergency and when I rang to get an appointment I was told they would not be able to see me, I was shown no concern or effort to get me in to a dentist. Very disappointing considering the money I have previously spent on braces in their clinic. I got an appointment immediately with another dentist, I require a root canal and wisdom tooth extraction. I was in significant pain and had a broken tooth with nerve damage. Shields will no longer be getting my business.

Amazing service. Had such a fear of going to the dentist before I decided to come to shields. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I had Dr Ahmed for the majority of my dental work, an absolute gent and fantastic dentist. I've had consultations with other specialists within Shields, they were all so informative but in the end i had Beatrice for composite bonding. I've never felt so comfortable in a dental chair. She done everything she could to put me at ease from the neck pillow to the relaxing music I almost forgot where I was lol. The end result of her work is just amazing and she didn't allow me to leave without knowing I was 100% happy with it! Thanks so much to all the staff in the limerick clinics, 100% recommended!

I would give this place more then 5 stars! To all the staff dentists/nurses/ receptions/ treatment Co ordinators, Owners, every staff member are an absolute pleasure to deal with, they are so understanding/kind/helpful and caring.i have never met such nice people. The professionalism is top quality. Both practice is like home, it's so cosy and so comfortable, makes you feel relaxed. So far I have dealt with Dr Ahmed Fahmy he is a true gentleman so caring and understanding and brilliant towards nervous patients. I am absolutely thrilled is an understatement to be getting a smile make over by such wonderful staff, and everything you need can be provided within one building. I wish I found this place awhile back. Best decision I made was attending shields dental. Gillian one of the treatment Co -ordinators is an absolute lady to deal with, makes you feel at eased and see so much positivity for the future and such a positive attitude. I look forward to the future of treatment with ye and I cannot wait to see the finish touch in time. 100 stars without a doubt. Amazing.

Receptionist Rebecca, so lovely to speak to, and gets you appointments so quickly, all the staff make you so welcomed and feel at ease, that you wouldn't even know you at the dentist, to the dentist and nurses ye provide top quality service. Amazing dental practice...I was not a patient of the practice but had a dental emergency of a Sunday morning before catching a flight...Aoife the secretary went above and beyond to ensure I would be seen in a timely manner....the professional manner in which I was dealt with was incredible...I would 100% recommend this dental practice

I have an overwhelming fear of dentists and as a result I missed so many appointments leading me with a lot of work to be done. I got a filling and a full deep cleaning with full mouth numbing and laughing gas and had an overall amazing experience. The staff and dentists are so kind, calming and know their stuff. Ive been back twice in two weeks which I never thought would be mentally possible for me. I feel less and less nervous each visit no matter the procedure. If you fear dental work and have massive anxiety like me these are the guys to go to. 10/10. Thank you so much for helping me with my smile and my fear!

My experience at shields dental and implant clinic was absolutely fantastic as I am a very nervous patient and I don't like going to a dentist but a brother of mine encouraged me to go and I have to say I am very happy that I went and I'm only half way through my treatment and from day one from the reception staff to Dr Cormac and his team I've been treated with excellent care and I would gladly recommend them to any of my friends or family and I am looking forward to continuing my treatment with them best regards .Kevin Ryan

I have been a patient for two years, my overall experience with this dental practice has been phenomenal from the beginning I first became a patient, the support and amazing service provided by all the staff, has been incredible, I am in the middle of a smile transformation, the continuous support and dedication I have received ensuring I achieve the smile I want has been an amazing journey and iv been put at ease, known I am in well capable of hands by a remarkable team! which continues, and as of already I’m so happy with the progress , excited to see the final results. the receptionist Rebecca, along with others has quickly got me seeing to when in need, there is no waiting around weeks for an appt, lovely to deal with. the Treatment co ordinator the lovely Gillian is a massive support to me through out my progress she has ensured my needs are met, and has the highest level of respect, and a complete lady to deal with, to my dentist Ahmed, respect, a gent to deal with, He makes you so at ease you would forget you are even sitting on a dental chair. He has changed my frown to a smile. I have attended other dentist in this building for different needs and every one of them have provided great service, and to all the nurses who also play a very important role ye also have been incredible and also re assurance when on a dental chair, incredible building, with amazing team, Great service. I phoned 4 dental practices in Limerick to make an appt for my daughter a student in Limerick. I found Shields dental practice in st Circular rd the most professional and obliging organising an appt. Absolutely delighted with the treatment I received at Shields Dental Clinic. I was told by another dentist I had been seeing for years that I needed root canal treatment on a painful tooth and was referred on to a specialist only to be told there was no appointment available for four months! Two courses of antibiotics later I was fed up and exhausted so Istarted an Internet search and found Shields. I rang on a Friday and they saw me on the next Monday morning and started treatment immediately. They were all so kind as I was quite upset at that stage. There was absolutely no pain and the root canal and crown are now finished. The staff are all so friendly and kind . I highly recommend Shields.

I had an emergency and was quickly attended to, they even took care to provide a dentist who spoke Portuguese so that the information would be clear to me. I had to have my wisdom teeth removed and the dentist Dimitrios and assistant Maria were excellent, very friendly, they calmed me down and answered all my doubts, in addition to the fact that I had a peaceful post-operative period due to the job well done.

I'm very happy with their orthodontist. The clinic has the latest equipment and having had Braces myself in the not so distant past, I appreciate how much better my daughter's are. Saying that, I wouldn't really go there for other dental work. My daughter's orthodontist is very chilled, but once we were seen by someone else and they were trying to talk me into a lot of other treatments. I politely informed this person that my daughter had a regular dentist for clean ups and check ups and that we wouldn't be requiring any further service other than orthodontics.

Amazing all-round service experienced till date from Shields!! After moving to Ireland it was initially hard to find a good and reliable dentist but this place is super accommodating and provide top-notch service 7 days a week. All the dentist I've met here are really good and I've always left with a positive experience. One in particular, Dr. Fahmy is simply the best dentist I've come across, genuinely caring, analytical with his approach and super patient ! Really glad to have found this place!

They've been brilliant. All the staff is very kind and lovely. I had an emergency and they've given me an appointment for the same week, finding a day and hour that suited me. Reasonable prices. The dentist was a 10: quick, well explained and made me feel so comfy. As well as the helper. Thanks a million, I will be back for any issue or check up!

I had put off doing a root canal for months as I was so frightened that it would be painful. I had been assured by my dentist that the procedure would be over before I knew it, and this was very true. It was actually so pain free that I ended up falling asleep half way through the procedure while listening to my podcast. If nervous about a root canal I would highly recommend speaking to your Sheilds dentist to get further information.

Due to an abscess in early 2022 I found myself getting an emergency appointment in Shields Dental SCR. I had not been there before. This led to an extraction and a full review which I requested. This then led me on a long journey to finally get the dental work I needed for a long time. Having a full consultation following xrays and exam etc with Cormac was not like any other experience I had with a dentist. I had developed an intense phobia for dentists over the years which kept me away from going! Cormac was different. It was like listening to an engineer/architect describing everything to do with your teeth, how they are constructed and how to correct all my issues which included chronic gum disease, bruxism etc. I decided to trust Dr Cormac and I was right. I started with periodontal treatment with Dr Shruta to treat the gum disease which was advanced. She was amazing. Then followed a long course of treatment with Dr Cormac. His dedication to his profession along with his care, patience, clear explanation of every single thing he was doing has practically removed my phobia and I cannot recommend Dr Cormac and Dr Shruta enough. It was a long road but I now have 6 crowns and I can finally feel confident enough to smile without embarrassment and with 2 dentures my bruxism is gone! No more grinding at night continually damaging my teeth and clenching all the time. My bite has been returned to what it should be and Cormac Shield proved himself to do exactly what he said he would. His professionalism, kindness, care, patience and communication will ensure I never go to any other dentist again. I must also mention the fabulous receptionists, dental technicians and all the staff as they always made me so welcome and helped to remove my dental anxiety. Thanks to all the staff at Shields Dental.

I am, like so many others, not too keen on Dentist visits but was fortunate enough to find Dentist Fahmy at Shields. He extracted a very troublesome tooth and was the consummate professional. Delighted with the work done.

Dr Beatrice and her team have been incredible in terms of making you feel at ease and explaining a dental plan/ procedures required etc. I don’t think I’ve ever been as relaxed at a dentist before. Had a review with Dr Shruta again another exceptionally nice and calming professional that spent time reviewing my plan and explaining everything to the finest detail. Shields is a clinic that have the patient first and former in mind. From the receptionists on the front desk to all members met on my experience. Super and highly recommended!

I had an extraction and some other work done with Dr Ahmed at shields dental. I would highly recommend him to everyone. I had a fear of the dentist from past experiences but my experience with him over the past few months was one of the best and easiest I’ve had. He is so nice, professional and made me feel so relaxed. Thank you!!

Could not recommend Shields Dentistry enough. Very professional staff from the receptionists to the 2 Specialist I've seen Dr.Ahmed and Dr.Shields. Went in with 2 chipped teeth which were fixed on the spot and looked good as new by the time I left. Overall great experience

I visited this clinic with my 6 years old daughter Nataly last week. She had a hole in her tooth caused by a cavity. The care and treatment provided was exceptional, absolutely painless. Dr. Beatrice was excellent, so friendly, talked to my daughter the whole time and made her very comfortable. The dentist´s office was very modern and very well equipped, even had a TV for the patient to watch :-) Paid 175 euro for the large filling and checkup. I would very highly recommend this clinic and especially Dr. Beatrice. Thank you. Martin

I'm almost done with my treatment and I have to say everything was perfect every time! The staff are lovely and Dr. Robert is very welcoming and professional. Can't recommend this clinic enough :)
