First
of
all,
the
location
for
their
pop-up
ultrasound
clinic
couldn't
have
been
more
awkward
-
there's
surely
venues
available
in
more
centrally
located
towns
in
County
Kerry
than
Kenmare!
The
premises
(the
HSE
primary
care
centre)
was
beautiful
and
spotless,
but
I
had
to
wait
outside
their
door,
by
the
lift
(basically
in
the
staircase)
where
there
was
two
chairs
placed
for
people
attending
an
ultrasound
appointment.
There
was
no
signpost
anywhere
that
said
Affidea,
it
was
very
confusing.
Thank
god
I
was
able
to
ask
the
receptionist
in
one
of
the
GP
surgeries
in
the
primary
care
centre,
who
kindly
told
me
to
take
a
seat
outside
by
the
lift,
and
that
I
would
receive
a
phone
call
once
it
was
my
turn
(I
wouldn't
have
known
this
only
for
the
lady
telling
me
-
but
never
received
any
call,
anyway).
After
a
while
another
lady
came
out,
didn't
introduce
herself
but
just
asked
me
my
name
in
a
rather
stern
manner.
I
then
had
to
sign
some
firms,
for
which
I
didn't
have
any
time
to
read
what
I
was
actually
signing
and
off
she
went
back
inside.
After
another
while,
she
appeared
again
and
called
me
into
the
ultrasound
suite
where
another
lady
was
waiting
(the
sonographer).
I
don't
think
she
introduced
herself,
either
-
and
at
no
point
there
was
anyone
smiling
at
me
or
anything.
I
felt
pretty
much
like
a
number
that
was
given
instructions
and
expected
to
do
certain
things
in
order
to
get
the
job
done
as
smooth
and
fast
as
possible.
I
mentioned
to
the
sonographer
at
the
start
of
the
scan
that
I
was
very
anxious
with
regard
to
what
was
causing
my
symptoms,
but
I
was
just
told
I'd
have
to
wait
for
the
report
to
be
sent
to
my
GP
-
she
really
didn't
seem
interested
in
reassuring
me
and
relieving
my
anxiety
at
all.
Without
telling
me
the
reason
for
it,
she
then
proceeded
to
scan
another
area
of
my
body
than
I
was
referred
for,
which
obviously
raised
my
anxiety
to
unknown
levels.
After
we
were
finished,
she
was
straight
on
her
phone
and
didn't
even
take
time
to
say
bye
to
me
or
anything.
I
got
the
impression
something
must
be
seriously
wrong
with
me,
yet
it
is
now
4
days
later
and
my
GP
still
has
not
received
the
report.
It
states
that
the
GP
will
receive
the
report
within
1
to
2
days
in
the
automated
email
I
received
after
my
scan,.
I
then
rang
them
today
and
spoke
to
an
extremely
disinterested,
rude
man
who
casually
told
me
I'd
be
able
to
log
a
query
into
my
missing
report
after
10
days.
