The gym has 6 floors , very well equipped. But is incredible crowed , not just in peak hours ..every time and they don’t care about it. They know they are the best equipped gym in a big miles radio in Cork, so they are only interested in have a lot of subscribers and not continuously improvement. You can wait up to 30min for a machine.

Never went to a gym, and I loved it! Well equipped, they have 6 floors for everything, and free classes for members (I recommend Yoga!). The view from the cardio floor is amazing, the machines can charge your phone (although people break them often...), and there's an amazing free Wifi! From an old Facebook post of them I found out the password is "runrunrun", and I can watch YouTube or series without issue while on the treadmill. Also, if you're staying here on a student house and the shower is awful, come and shower here after a workout. Best decision for my stay on Cork!

It's a good place, But it doesn't have a lot of equipment for leg extension training, it only has a flexor/extensor chair, the crossovers, when they break, take weeks to fix and they are not enough for the number of membership that has there.

A very good gym for an extremely reasonable price. The staff are generally friendly, though you won't have much interaction with them unless you enrol in classes. The only issue is with crowds. There are clearly a LOT of members as there is rarely a time when the gym is not very busy. This is fine, but it would be nice to see them recognise this by providing more of the in-demand items, particularly cables. I have had to just take certain exercises/machines out of my programme because it is too hard to get at them. This being said, it is still the best gym in Cork city when all things are considered - price, size, equipment, cleanliness, etc.

It's a good value for the size of the gym, but not for the amount of exercise machines. and there are things that irritate, like not having more than one machine for certain muscle regions, and several times the only machine is broken. in addition to the annoying alarm when someone calls the reception, I got scared and hurt myself because of the weight I was carrying.

The equipment is pristine, attitude of the staff, not so much My first day at the centre, trying to figure out where the classes are conducted. I was unable to find anyone to ask any information. Finally I meet the manager who said that the time was up for the class and I couldn't join anymore, which is fine in retrospect I should have been there a bit more earlier but I shouldn't have to - if the booking is online is it too much to ask for information on which floor the classes are conducted to be online? The manager then asks me to book a gym intro class which i asked how and she said website and also informed me you have to book 24 hours before. I opened the website on my mobile right then and there and booked a slot for 2 pm which was 2 hours later than the time I arrived. I spent the 2 hours hungry because I hadn't planned it would take this long and do some odd shopping. I am back at the gym at 2 pm and the manager walks me through the intro for 10 minutes which is basically the classes will be conducted here and these are the equipment we have which has been listed as 30 minutes on the website 🤷. I don't understand the irony of waiting 2 hours for a 10 minute intro which she could have given and 12pm and not made me waste 2 hours. Also she causally mentioned the app that I have to download to get the monitor working during the classes and I had to stop her and ask the app and get it verified. Utter disregard for the time of others and the attitude - at the end of the gym intro she just ups and leaves without even telling that the intro has ended into her manager room leaving me to wait. I go to the room and she is like, yea intro is done. Horrible. I expect a proper apology from the manager for first of all wasting my time. Left disappointed on the first day. Btw your magnetic readers suck, only one of them works and scratches my cards. The other is duct taped shut I will update my review on how well the classes go...

PTs use the music equipment like its their home system Was working downstairs, when some guy turned up the volume to a level where I could no longer hear my own music in my headphones, upon turning it down, he came back and turned it up and said he works there and that this is always the music level downstairs - which was a blatant lie Gym is usually very crowded due to location Good equipment and free weight sections

Equipment is pretty decent and if anything breaks it generally gets fixed or replaced after a short while. Can get very busy during peak hours but despite that it's usually fairly clean. Prices have increased by a few euro over the last year or so but still relatively affordable. Previously the entry gates allowed access by swiping a card or logging in via a nearby computer. These gates were recently replaced and now require an app which displays a QR code. The app requires a login every single time it's opened (doesn't save your details), provides no other functionality (can't book classes, manage your account, etc) and is the only option for entering the gym now. I asked staff if there were any alternatives for members who might not own a smartphone capable of downloading the app or just don't want to download the app and was met with shrugs and "I dunno lad". I contacted support on their website and received a generic templated email which ignored my questions and instead provided instructions on how to download the app??? Very disappointing.

Joined Flyefit Cork today and I am already regretting my decision. Couldn't enter the gym due to app error. No front desk/reception at the gym and no customer service number to call for assistance. Only way to contact them is by email. Wasted my whole day trying to get in. Work on you technology or get more employees at the gym. Stop wasting people's time.

Really like this gym. Well equipped. 6 floors and all well organised. Cardio room on top floor with the view. Definitely worth going there. The only negative would be that they close changing rooms 30 minutes before closing the gym.

You have to choose your time carefully in order to enjoy a session. Always crowded with teens and it is quite impossible to use the2 cable machine in there that most of the time are always out of order. The only advantage is that the gym is in the heart of the city centre.

The machineries are broken for ages. Some of the important ones and they never fix them.

The gym itself is mediocre at best . While it has three floors the only two are any decent if you're looking to do resistance training with one really containing proper weights. There's one single lat pull down machine in the whole gym which is never free. There's only 3 multi gyms also which leads to queues on the weekends for the cables. Bathrooms are disgusting on the weekends especially and the machine are constantly broken for weeks at time. The only positive thing really about this gym is its location which is handy if you work in town. I would recommend attending in the morning otherwise you'll be queuing to get your workout done in this three story gym with only one floor that's really used by anybody.! They also put up the prices lately without even fixing half the broken machines.

Great facility, wide variety of equipment, flooring plan is well designed and equipment typically is well spaced out. Price and location are also fantastic, for me personally it would be the best gym in Cork with everything it offers. Only downside would be that it's easy to get a little lost in it initially.

Great range of equipment. During the morning, early afternoon there's loads of room both weekday and weekend, however when it's busy it's *busy*; it seems to me that school and college students flood it certain afternoons around 3-4pm so bear that in mind. There are floors which are not accessible by the entrance stairs but by another set at the back of the building, this is not incredibly clear from the signage, but it's by no means a "maze" as some other reviewers have suggested.

Is okay-ish!! It should be one of the best gym in cork, but isn't. Lot's cable attachment missing for a proper workout in a year I haven't seen any improvement, only new entrance system, and should be +18.

Good gym but the equipment is always broken or in bad condition and usually it's full and there's queues to do the workout

Probably the most comfortable and successful I have ever felt before in a gym. I'm starting to look forward to the classes everyday now and can feel myself getting stronger every week. All the instructors genuinely enjoy what they're doing and you can tell they care loads about the clients, and every single one of them is extremely approachable in there which is so refreshing. Always a great sense of community when ya go in there and I have found a new love for pilates and spinning. Keep doing what you're doing lads! :)

Excellent gym, great variety and amount of spaces, popular so can get busy

Positives: It's a good size with 4 floors and has a decent amount of machines so you don't really have to wait, especially for the cardio ones. Great view from the treadmills! Not too crowded. Lot's of classes with Very good instructors. Negatives: The toilets on the weekends are in bad shape and there were too many occasions that there was no toilet paper! The sppining bikes really need some maintenance. It's becoming harder to find one to use...

I believe it’s too busy from 5pm onwards. If you plan on working out in the mornings it’s good.

Well equipped and the staff are super helpful but gets extremely busy at peak times (4:30pm - 7pm), and the swipe to get in can be a little dodgy sometimes but it's never been a major issue.

Great size and facilities. Gym is clean and there are plenty machines and benches for all levels. The top floors for cardio and the Astro stretching area are also great. Perfect gym.

Brilliant gym, very well equipped, comfortable to workout in, affordable. People here are all decent, staff are nice too. Really can’t complain.

It's grand if you have no money or are just starting off. €280~/year is kind of hard to beat. You get what you pay for. The staff aren't great and the equipment is dated/poor. Go elsewhere

  • 4/5 Igor Z. 2 years ago on Google
Always clean, it has everything we need, with the exception of some machines. Could have a bit more of each, because the gym has place for it.

A fantastic gym in the heart of the city. There's everything you would need and the trainers here are amazing.

😠 Went to this gym for 4 years, came back today to use a guest pass and I was told I could only use certain parts of the gym after paying €11. Receptionist couldn’t have cared less.
