An amazing swimming beach with lovely white sand. Best to visit at low tide. A fairly long steep walk down from the car park but the pathway has just been resurfaced and is now 100% buggy or wheelchair friendly. The only snag with a buggy is that you do need to get over a section of beach pebbles and rocks to get onto the sand. Great beach for families with kids!

This is one of the great secluded sandy beach closest to cork. This has a good car park. There’s a tarmac way until the seashore. But the way is steeper and caution to be taken while walking up or down. There is a stream joins the beach which allows us to enjoy. There’s a cliff walk also for grownups.

This is a hidden gem, absolutely beautiful cove, when the tide is out there is a long stretch of beach with caves and rock pools to explore. There is a 350m walk down and you do have to brave the hill up bit definitely worth the extra effort

This beach is a trek to get down to and obviously getting out is the reverse. If you have children and a push chair be prepared. The beach is beautiful but packed the water was warm and sandy underfoot, but too many people, boats, BBQs drink. Glad to get out of there.

This beach is so beautiful , very calming and clean, only downside is you need to walk a little bit from the parking to reach the beach, and coming back up hill on a warm day is a bit exhausting 😅

I wouldn't call it a remote beach anymore, we went on a Thursday, but on a hot day, and camped for a day. A lot of people showed up and stayed around during the day, including some boats, makes me wish at least there would be a bin to reduce the littering that was happening, and maybe is enough people to justify a public bathroom. Still beautiful beach, ideal for families with kids, just need to be careful about the tide times and your position on the beach, since you may get stranded with things to carry over water if you are not careful. For camping I do recommend on the grass area, before the beach because of the tides.

Really lovely spot. Bit steep up and down to car park but worth it. Lovely views out to Cork Harbour.

Beautiful quiet beach. Not too busy in the evenings if you're looking for a quiet relaxing dip. The beach is sandy and the waves are gentle. There is a steep hill on the way down to the beach but shouldn't be an issue for anyone able to walk on firm ground as the path down is tar. There is a lack of bins available here so be mindful to bring rubbish home with you if you intend to have a BBQ or picnic in the area.

Small secluded beach with car park. Tarmac pathway all the way to beach from carpark but it is a long walk and very steep. Sea is calm in this area, great for children, swimming and paddle boarding.

White Bay is a lovely scenic beach on the south coast of Ireland. Safe for swimming and offers an amazing view from the beach. Lots of yachts, boats, and tankers come past in the distance as it's near the entrance to Cork port. To access the beach, you need to park up at the Car Park and walk down a long lane to the beach. There is a long steep walk up and down from the parking park. Do not forget to check the tides, as the beach gets small at high tide. Most of the time it's windy. Nice to swim, shallow water. Safe for kids. Lots of caves. At some places the rocks are loose, so take care when finding place to settle.

The place to go for a relaxing walk during the week... especially morning. Check tide times, with higher tide, not really place for a walk unfortunately..

Beautiful setting but it's a hard slog back up the path after your day out so pack light

Beautiful, clean and calm sandy beach during low tides. It needs +- 500 m walk from the car park to the beach (downhill). We went there only one or two families hangout there, but in the summer may be packed. Go back to the car park is quite uphill and tired.

Nice hidden gem of a beach in Cork Harbour, very close to Trabolgan. Long steep walk of about 0.5km down from the car park but well paved
