We happened upon this hotel by chance while visiting Blarney Castle and had a great experience. Ian and his team there really took care of us with outstanding customer service and assisted us at every turn. The location, facilities including the rooms, pub and breakfast were all first class. We highly recommend this hotel and location.

A group of us were visiting Cork for the weekend and decided to stay here. The hotel room was very clean, and felt luxurious. There was a cosy bar with a fireplace and creamy pints. We had a very tasty breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend and we will definitely be staying here again.

I love this hotel. Have stayed twice now. Rooms superb, service and food is first class too. Staff extremely helpful and engaging. Will definitely be back again! Music in the bar in the evening also! A most pleasant stay in a small very well run establishment. A big thank you to the staff and Ian the owner!

We had an awful encounter here with a barman, we were sitting having a drink, he came over turned off all the lights (at 10:30pm), plugged out the fire (in the middle of winter) never said a word to us, left us sitting there in the dark while we actually couldn’t even see our belongings on the table in front of us. told us he controlled the lights in that room, while he was still serving drinks to the other bar, he told us we had to leave. he was extremely rude and such a bad attitude to have working in hospitality, keep in mind we had a 2 year old with us and he still treated us this way. This whole thing happened out of the blue, we didn’t provoke this behaviour in any way. we were so shocked someone could treat paying customers like this, genuinely never experienced anything like this before

The warmth of the welcome from Una gave us our first taste of what was a memorable stay. Every member of staff was smiling and friendly, the rooms were top class with the best shower ever. The dinner to die for and the breakfast superb. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Blarney!

I was asked to leave to leave the conservatory area by the restaurant manager, it was too busy in the bar and very warm. I only sat there to cool off and didn't want to be crammed inside. I thought it was awful of him to say that. I can spend my money elsewhere, that's for sure. I did plan to buy some more drinks. One star won't reflect the pub itself, nice drinks, that's for the restaurant manager sadly.

We had a family funeral and choose the hotel , to have a meal after the service we had spoke to una regarding the numbers were expecting . And went through the menu with her. On the day the food and service was excellent so hot and plenty of everything even went around with seconds and to finish it off home made apple pie straight out of the oven. Everyone is still talking the fantastic meal they got. Thank you so much for making a very difficult day so much better. Will be back again

We had the afters of our baby's christening at the Blarney Castle Hotel last Saturday. The food was, as usual, fatastic. The staff, from the owner Ian, to our waiter Mo, and everyone in between, were so welcoming and friendly - there was nothing they couldn't do for us for the evening. We had a good few young children with us and they were also made feel so welcome! Thank you for making our day so special! We'll be back!

A lively village setting, serving good value meals, well prepared and nicely presented, very friendly staff. Very busy most Sundays and especially on my visit. I will be there again in the very near future

We LOVED this facility. Absolutely wonderful! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the service and staff is phenomenal, the location is within a block of the Blarney Castle entrance, and the food at the restaurant is the best I've had in all of Ireland so far. Our room included a queen size bed and plenty of space, with a dresser of drawers, a small reading table, two comfortable chairs, a desk/makeup area, and a wonderful shower. We even found a library/board room on the second floor in which our group spent a couple evenings playing board games. There was no A/C, which is probably only a downside during the peak of summer (our room with a fan stayed in the low 70s F). A custom common to Ireland but unusual for us Americans is to sleep in a bed without a top sheet. This made it difficult to regulate temperature. The comforter made sleeping uncomfortably warm, but sans covers it all made it a tad cool. Also, for those who might struggle with stairs, I don't think there are elevators. The staff takes luggage to the room so that's not a problem. The bar/pub was a lively hotspot, but the drinks are pretty straightforward with beer, a meager selection of wine, or hard liquor with mixers. No cocktails. And... The quality of the food at the restaurant is worth the visit alone!

I've just spent the weekend in the beautiful quaint Blarney Castle Hotel with my 6 siblings and parents. We were looked after so well. All our rooms were together and we had our own dining room. The staff were amazing, friendly and professional. The food was the best I've had in a long time. The rooms were decorated beautifully and the beds were so comfortable. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

I highly recommend staying here. The rooms were clean and cozy. The pub downstairs has a great selection of drinks and food for locals and tourists alike. The food was phenomenal - for lunch/dinner I recommend that you get whatever the special happens to be! While we stayed here it was onion stew with bleu cheese croutons and a proper roast dinner. This morning we had the “guest breakfast” which included 6 different options plus the owner, Ian, came by with fresh from the oven scones. Plus it’s less than a 3 minute walk to the entrance of the Blarney Castle and Gardens.

Beautiful food..service a bit slow. Staff a little helpful but please smile. Disability bathroom a big no no too small and expect to lose your dignity as can't close door of bathroom as wheelchair would not fit. In this day and age cop on its there rights too.

This hotel was incredible! This was mine and my family’s first trip to Ireland and of course we stopped by Blarney Castle; not only is this hotel RIGHT across from the entrance, but this quaint little place has some of the best staff I’ve come across. It’s very homey here and mine and my grandma’s room was beautiful! If you’re ever in the area, stop in for a drink at their bar, a bite at their restaurant, or a night in their comfy rooms. It’s a wonderful little piece of Ireland ((:

Really enjoyed our two night stay here. Ian, the owner was very helpful. Room was clean and quite large. Food was fantastic, especially the eggs benni. Loved the little village of Blarney and a short 2 min walk to the gates of the castle. Would definitely stay here again.

Wife an I stopped here for lunch oct 2022, OMG the best smocked hadock that I have ever had, cheers from Australia guys. PS I gave the rooms 5 stars because even thou we didn't stay I'm convinced with the attention to detail in the rest of the place it would be good.

Perfect hotel. The staff are a dream; the breakfast is exactly right; charming, clean and well maintained interior and the location by the green next to the castle is crazy. I’ve stayed in other *** hotels and they pale into embarrassment next to the Blarney Castle.

If you miss family while on vacation this is the place to be. From the lovely 93 year old woman who graciously sang for us, to her daughter swinging this fatty Mc Patty in the dance floor like I was a feather. All the entertainment was like from a move scene. The staff was fantastic. Ian is like family and really cares and goes above and beyond. Best vacation spot in all of Ireland. If you don't stay here you don't get the full experience! Five stars! I will come back! I recommend this hotel highly! I love my experience so much, it makes me want to move there. Tracy & Robert Stillwell

Great Managers and Staff, they sorted out the overbooking issue. We were part of a motorcycle tour group touring the Wild Atlantic Way and they took perfect care of us. After a great social night in the Blarney Castle hotel with perfect food and drinks they had buses with friendly sociable Corkonian drivers to bring us the few miles to our rooms and back again in the morning.

My husband and I stopped here for one night during our ireland trip and loved this location! The staff is so friendly! The young woman who checked us in was so friendly! I don't remember her name I just know her sister's name was Aoife. The bar downstairs had amazing food too! Would highly recommend staying here! My husband and I skipped out of going to Blarney Castle itself but it's right outside the grounds of the castle so super easy to get to if that's what you're wanting to do. The parking is a bit tight but Joe one of the staff members offered to get our car out of the tight parking for us which was so nice of him and we are very grateful! Overall the stay was pleasant and I would highly recommend this location!

My family had an awful experience at the restaurant of Blarney Castle Hotel today, on Christmas Eve. We have been patrons of this establishment for decades, and have often found Mozam rude and overbearing, but today has been the worst experience yet. Today, Mozam refused to take the adjusted orders of several members of my family, with the flimsy excuse of the kitchen being too busy. We know restaurants can be busy, and would have understood a delay, as long as things came out as we ordered them. But he was exceptionally rude today, cutting us off mid-speaking to inform us that NO, we COULDN'T request "No bacon with the pancakes" (this refusal is particularly ironic, since he himself is Muslim), or "no tomato with the mini-grill", or "raw tomato instead of cooked tomato." Most of my family are neurodivergent and very particular when it comes to food. If he is going to wait on tables, then he should take our orders as we request then. That's part of the job. His attitude, and his obstinate refusal to do his job correctly, distressed my sister so much that she started crying at the table. When he came to "apologise", he proceeded to invade my sister's personal space, touched her without consent, and then ignored her when she asked him to leave her alone. He only backed off when I snapped at him that she asked him to leave her alone And then Mozam came back again, was just as invasive, and then gave her an orange juice as if it made everything better. His behaviour is absolutely unacceptable, and it has turned many of us off the idea of ever coming back.

The room was comfortable and clean, the hotel was quaint and relaxing, the food was amazing. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Ian helped us get settled into our rooms and provided extra wool blankets for us to keep us comfortable. Holly was helpful during breakfast answering all of our touristy questions. Highly recommend this estaishment.

Nice place, cordial staff. I was hoping to have an internet connection but that didn't happen for all the effort that was made. The rooms were clean and updated. Missed the extra star for the lack of Internet. Kinda important when videoing with friends and family.

We only popped in briefly because we were a bit lost, and the staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. Add that to how nice the premises were (each different part — the bar, one of the more private suites, the café) looked so cozy, I wish we’d been able to stay for a proper drink! Huge thanks for trying to book us a taxi, and showing us to the bus stop!

Highly recommend this place. Beautiful friendly spotless hotel. The staff treat you like the way you should be treated in a hotel. No complaints here at all. Beautiful rooms , walk in shower , spacious room with large flat screen tv. Relaxed attitude to breakfast too, none of the usual be here by 10:30 nonsense . Stroll down for a breakfast made to order. I will definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in this charming hotel on the green in Blarney village. We only stayed one night but wish it had been more. We were greeted by the proprietor Mr. Ian Forrest, and the room was clean and comfortable. He also served breakfast, which was wonderful. Of course, the best feature is the location. We were walking distance from the Blarney castle grounds and were able to waltz on in first thing, avoiding the crowds.

As much as I wanted to love this hotel and list it as my favorite from our Ireland visit, I can't even come close to saying that. The location is great, an easy walk to the Blarney Castle and Blarney Woolen Mills. The hotel itself is adorable and has been redone very well. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy and everything was clean. Pub/restaurant had a nice selection of food and was very busy with locals as well as tourists (which made us think even more highly of it since the locals frequented it). Our room was spacious with a king sized bed, a twin bed, a couch, and a small table/chairs and overlooked the square. However... There is no elevator in the hotel, so you have to carry your luggage up a narrow staircase to your room. At first we just smiled and thought "It's such a cute hotel with lovely old fashioned décor, it just adds to the charm of the place!" When we first got to our room, we loved it!! We easily overlooked how the shower got water all over the bathroom due to the lack of any type of door or curtain on the end where the water sprayed and that the kettle had some questionable water leftover inside. Everything was going well until we tried to go to sleep after a long day of sightseeing.... Our room had no AC and overlooked the square and front entrance to the hotel. Everyone that smoked did so underneath our windows, meaning we could not leave the windows open to cool the room. It was extremely noisy due to the pub underneath our room and the guests who had very loud and boisterous conversations (as well as arguments) outside the hotel under our window. We finally had to call the front desk around midnight to ask them to see to the guests arguing on the street below. The restaurant had a nice variety of food, and we ate there for both lunch and dinner on our first day and paid with credit card each time. When we went to check out, there was a charge for $65+ on our room for dinner which I tried to explain wasn't ours. They did not believe me until I pulled up my card transactions on my banking app to prove we paid for both meals the day before rather than charge to the room. In summation, our experience was not the pleasant one I was expecting to get based off other reviews. Out of our 8 day trip to Ireland, we had our worst hotel experience here. Maybe if we had stayed on a weeknight instead of a busy Saturday, we would have had a different, more enjoyable experience.

If you’re headed to “Kiss the Blarney Stone” or visit the Blarney Woollen Mills - you MUST stay at the Blarney Castle Hotel. The rooms are lovely- the staff are extremely friendly - the B&B Breakfast is delightful -and the location is SUPERB. You are literally right on top of the Castle and the Woollen Mills. The place is so pretty to walk around. Had a wonderful time.

What a beautiful little gem The Blarney Castle hotel is. The foyer is very welcoming, the decor so keeping with the period of the house, the staff are so helpful and really made our visit. The food is absolutely delicious. There is a lovely comforting atmosphere in hotel. I will definitely be heading back here.

Just back from my 3rd stay and yet again the owners Ian and Una and all the staff are just so lovely .The food and our room was as always 1st class. Family run hotel beautifully decorated and right in the middle of a quaint green ,where you feel right at home and treated like your an old friend, they all can’t do enough for you just couldn’t be nicer , love it here when we’re visiting cork city we drive out here to stay, much nicer than staying in the city and only 10 mins in car , you won’t be dissapointed highly recommend 😍
