Kinsale
Hotel
This
place
is
an
excersise
in
disaster.
I
have
stayed
at
many
hotels
and
always
strive
to
be
objective
in
my
reviews
of
both
food,
hotels
and
shopping,
and
I
can
without
a
doubt
say
this
might
be
one
of
the
worst
hospitality
experiences
I’ve
ever
had.
I’m
surprised
to
see
so
many
positive
reviews
and
unfortunately
did
not
experience
the
same,
although
people’s
taste
levels
vary.
From
the
moment
we
arrived
to
the
property,
I
could
tell
from
the
shell
of
the
building
and
sterile
hospital
waiting
room
like
quality
of
the
entry
foyer
that
we
were
in
for
trouble,
however,
it
is
not
often
that
I
would
bother
to
write
up
comments
based
solely
on
aesthetics.
The
view
alone
could
not
salvage
this
evening.
What
triggered
this
deluge
of
negative
comments
to
follow
is
not
an
occurrence
of
the
hotel
itself
but
the
unprofessional
and
downright
rude
personalities
of
the
pool
staff.
Brian
and
Kayla,
two
smug
individuals
acted
in
a
discriminatory
manner
to
our
group,
offering
coy
sarcasm
and
attitude
towards
our
visit
to
the
pool
(which
be
advised,
guests
of
the
hotel
will
have
to
pay
to
“rent”
a
swim
cap
and
also
for
a
towel,
then
move
into
a
dirty
wet
and
damp
changing
room
in
order
to
enter
the
pool
area,
which
is
clearly
,
shared
with
the
community
-
that’s
fine
but
it’s
not
really
a
pool
of
the
hotel.
This
Kayla
person
has
the
audacity
to
come
up
to
our
elder
mother
who
wasn’t
swimming
and
GRAB
the
swim
gear
out
of
her
possession
citing
that
“YOURE
NOT
HSING
THST
ANYWAY”
-
we
paid
for
that!
How
insane
that
someone
would
have
the
nerve
to
just
walk
up
and
take
something
without
asking.
It
was
really
shocking
to
be
honest.
Staff
management
higher
up
offered
apologies.
And
we
can
move
on,
but
it
doesn’t
end
there;
This
hotel
is
just
Straight
up
filthy.
There
are
stains
all
over
the
carpets
,
the
ikea
grade
furniture
is
peeling
,
the
decking
is
rotting
and
littered
with
cigarettes
and
we
notice
broken
glass
on
the
exterior
courtyard.
If
you
want
to
sleep
well
don’t
come
here;
our
room
was
about
100
degrees
,
sun
beating
in
and
no
ventilation,
the
air
condition
was
broken.
The
more
you
look
around
this
place
the
more
things
are
off
you
notice,
stains
dripping
down
the
ceiling
from
faulty
sky
light
connections,
a
cracked
bathroom
sink.
Pieces
of
the
rugs
are
missing
or
duck
taped.
This
place
is
honestly
kind
of
ghetto
and
is
borderline
flirting
with
the
idea
of
a
frat
house.
It’s
our
belief
that
this
place
is
to
pack
tourist
busses
in
an
our,
or
rowdy
bachelor/rette
parties.
To
close
off
our
stay,
after
a
work
out
in
the
gym
(which
wasn’t
too
bad
to
be
honest,
good
selection
of
weights
and
machines
)
I
returned
to
our
room
ready
to
shower
and
found
that
our
hot
water
was
out.
It
became
quite
comical
at
the
point,
this
place
is
a
joke,
a
dance
of
distaste
of
epic
proportions
and
sadly
an
unworthy
blemish
on
what
has
been
a
beautiful
trip
to
a
beautiful
country
with
so
many
wonderful
hotels
and
people.
I
don’t
want
this
honest
reflection
on
our
stay
to
negatively
impact
those
mostly
good
people
working
there,
it
is
merely
a
problem
of
deteriorating
management
rotten
from
the
top
down.
You
can
tell
someone
with
no
experiences
owns
this
place
was
according
to
past
reviews
it
was
good
once
upon
a
time.
Save
yourself
the
headache
and
support
another
hardworking,
respectable
establishment
that
is
visitor
focused,
it
won’t
be
too
hard
to
find
in
Ireland!
