We were at Innishannon House today. The staff were courteous and very very friendly. The food was excellent, as always. Perfect place to experience great moments and lovely memories. Whenever we come to Ireland from Germany, we try to visit at least once.

We had our wedding reception here last August on the hottest day of the year! Margaret, Shane and Sarah were fantastic on the day of our wedding and leading up to it. The service was flawless, they always did everything to make sure our day ran smoothly. The food was delicious, all the guests commented on how lovely it was. The rooms are fabulous and clean, each one so unique. It was just the professional, relaxed, scenic venue we wanted and couldn't have asked for better. It was important for me that my niece and nephews had a safe spacious place to run around and they had a ball. While of course supervised at all times they were free to run around, spot the ducks and fish in river and even a horse the next morning. They were kept entertained for the day. This is a small, family run hotel. It is scenic, intimate, relaxed, unique and provided a memorable day for us that we will, and would never want to, forget. There were many examples of attention to detail, most importantly the groom was given a bigger pot of tea than his new brother-in-law in the resident's bar so he wasn't upstaged! We'd highly recommend here as a wedding venue.

We had our wedding at Innishannon House Hotel on the August bank holiday this year - we loved the venue so much when we went to see it that we didn't even look anywhere else, and it did not disappoint on the day! The setting is amazing and we were lucky enough to be able to hold the ceremony outside by the river, but if that had not worked out, indoors would have been just as beautiful. I can't commend the owners and staff enough for taking care of us so well, both on the day and during the run up - everything was taken care of with little input from us, which was a relief, as event planners we are not! The food was beautiful - we've had many comments from our guests on the meal, and the bar staff were great, putting up with us until the wee hours, which must have been a tough job! Massive thanks to all at Innishannon House Hotel - we can't wait to visit again soon.

Beautiful house, ideal setting for a wedding on a summers day felt like the south of France. The family couldn't be more helpful offering great advice when needed. Thank you again all at Innishannon house

We got married in Innishannon House Hotel in March. So we were there a few times before hand for food and drinks. The food was always incredible whether it was breakfast, lunch, dinner or the wedding dinner itself. My husband was very impressed with the pints on draught and I was with the wide selection of spirits on offer. The rooms are so luxurious and comfortable with every amenity you could need. The hotel itself is cosy, elegant but also has a homey feel. The staff couldn't do enough to help you and Shane and Margaret went above and beyond on our wedding weekend which so many commented on. We definitely made the right choice and will be back soon!

We got married at Innishannon House Hotel in June 2023 and it was such a beautiful day. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Sarah who was available to help us with every query and question we had. Everyone at the wedding said the food was absolutely delicious. The bar staff were friendly and the venue was set up perfectly, both indoors and outdoors. I would highly recommend as a wedding venue. We were so delighted with our day.

We happily celebrated our wedding one week ago at Innishannon House Hotel. To say we had an amazing wedding would be an understatement - Shane, Margaret and Sarah and the rest of the team are a class act. The whole team were always on hand to answer any email queries we had throughout the planning process and they also went to huge efforts to ensure all our little special touches for our day were executed to perfection! The location speaks for itself, rose beds in bloom atop a beautifully manicured lawn on the banks of the River Bandon but the house itself is so homely, comfortable and tastefully appointed! Our guests remarked on the tasty locally sourced food which featured all the way through from the drinks reception to breakfast the next morning. An absolute culinary triumph! Everyone was so helpful and lovely, I would highly recommend a wedding or a stay at Innishannon House Hotel!

I enjoyed my stay here. It is a lovely place, well run, lovely location, quiet, nice staff. Lovely Room (11) with a beautiful bath in the centre of a huge bathroom. Brilliant separate shower also. A few small things should be addressed though. Only one towel ring at the sink. No shaving light at mirror. No chain on stopper. No shelf or place to put things in shower. Shower door not closing right. No shower gel or bath salts. The Irish breakfast was very good. The bread was lovely. The buffet side of it was ok/average, not fresh juice which I'd expect in a place if this calibre. Coffee was poor cafetiere, but that's the normal in B&Bs unfortunately, I'm non-dairy and they could only give me a tiny few ml of soya milk (not enough), "delivery didn't come". My partner is a vegetarian and wasn't catered for that well at all. Again this is unfortunately and shamefully the normal in B&Bs/Hotels where we've stayed in Ireland. Hotels/B&Bs need to improve this it's not good enough! Breakfast isn't an insignificant add-on or afterthought, it's an important part of the whole experience. Vegetarianism isn't a new thing!! It should be catered for without the need of advanced notice. It's not a rare disease! The hospitality sector have been pleading for our support. And my partner and I have responded the last two years. We've paid high enough prices in places advertised as above average/upmarket. We've done our part, it's a two-way street, the hotels restaurants etc need to do theirs. This is a general comment, not directed at Innishannon. As I said I really enjoyed my stay there. It is a lovely place and well run. My criticisms are small things (except my partner's vegetarian breakfast) which didn't spoil my stay. However, they are small things which could, and should, be rectified to make this lovely hotel, and our stay there, even better. Ate in the restaurant once. It wasn't great. My partner's first meal had to be returned. My burger was very dry, reheated, served too fast to have been cooked fresh. The merlot was lovely. The chips were very good. Innishannon please don't take offence at this review (as do so many), as that is not my intention. I love to support Ireland and all It's industry, I'm on your side. But the product and service has to be of the correct standard for people who spend their annual budget and days allowed off work to create memorable and enjoyable experiences. As I said already, you have most of it right and to a high standard and it's a lovely hotel, well done for that and I hope you consider the other stuff.

Lovely house and lovely people. We stayed here 1 night on our road trip through south western Ireland. Just a quick drive from Cork and on the road to Skibbereen, the location is ideal for launching a days drive to the Killarney National Forest. The house is warm and inviting with idyllic views of the water and beautifully landscaped grounds. The beds were big and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean with great hot water and shower pressure. We had a wonderful light breakfast and a chat with the owner before heading on our way. We arrived late, so heading out the front door the next morning really made us aware of just how beautiful the house and grounds are. A grand lady from a time past. We could have stayed longer had we not been on a tight schedule. As I said, the location was perfect for getting on the other side of Cork traffic for the night. This set us up for a morning launch through to Killarney. The house was well positioned for us to hit Galley Head Lighthouse and the Drombeg Stone Circle before heading on through Skibbereen, on the southern route and through Kenmare and into Molls Gap on our way to Torc falls and Muckross. This is a ride you won't forget. By far our best day of the trip and Innishannon House helped set the stage for that day with our bellies full and us all well rested. Thanks to the owners for allowing us to enjoy their home.

We had our wedding at Innishannon House Hotel in March 2022 after having to postpone for two years due to COVID. Shane, Margaret & the team were so helpful & cooperative during the planning process & made the stress of postponing so much easier. The wedding itself could not have gone better - we had a fabulous weekend having both our wedding & night two at the hotel. The food was excellent with so many of our guests telling us the steak was the best they’ve had at a wedding. We had the entire place to ourselves & they couldn’t have done more for us - couldn’t recommend more highly!

Stayed for a family wedding and can honestly say that the Roche family were so kind and helpful in the orchestration of the event! With only 6 weeks to plan it turned out so beautiful. Gorgeous venue, stunning views and the team were so lovely especially Margaret. For a 300 year old house, the rooms were beautiful and welcoming. So cosy. Food was delicious and breakfast the next morning was perfect for the inevitable hangover. We will be back for Sunday lunch soon 😊 Thank you!

We had our wedding here on the 15th December. To say that Shane, Margaret and the rest of the team exceeded our expectations is an understatement. With only 6 weeks notice, they went above and beyond to help bring our wedding to life. We couldn't have asked for better. The views were just incredible, the food was fantastic and the rooms were just full of charm. Thank you for everything!

What a fabulous place the Innishannon Hotel is. My daughters wedding was held there and the attention to detail and the cleanliness was out of this world. I would highly recommend the Innishannon House Hotel as a wedding venue or as a stress free break. Thank you so much

Stayed here last night stunning view but the standard of cleanness is appalling the dust was inches thick and cobwebs in the bathroom the hrt milk was gone off. Never again not worth €200 for the night. Standards need to upped in this hotel not good enough. I would not recommend staying here.

Stayed for two nights in December for a wedding, had evening meal, lunch & the wedding service. Rooms are beautiful, really comfortable beds and if you’re lucky you’ll get the four poster. Hotel is in gorgeous grounds and you’ll need to walk off the calories of the delicious food they serve. It’s family run and very warm - even with limited staff the service is incredible. Very close to Kinsale for touring etc

We had our wedding reception at innishannon house hotel at the end of August. From the very first contact we felt totally at ease, the family run vibe really aligned with us as a couple. The setting is beyond stunning, we were lucky enough to have amazing weather and our ceremony was held outside. The reception setting is perfect, it doesn't split the crowd and the newly refurbished bar was lovely to chill out in at the drinks reception. The food was amazing and highly complimented by guests. Every member of staff was helpful and friendly, couldn't recommend innishannon house hotel more.

My wife and I had our wedding at Innishannon House Hotel. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Fantastic to deal with. The food on our big day was incredible. (Try the hake!) The picturesque gardens provided a perfect backdrop for our wedding photos. Our guests were blown away by the beautiful manor house vibe of the venue and the friendly family vibe that the staff gave off. I couldn't imagine spending the best day of our lives so far in a better place. Can't wait to get back there again.

We had our wedding at Innishannon House Hotel on the 1st October this year. We had the most amazing day! The staff were attentive and professional, they couldn't have done more for us on the day and were so calm and reassuring throughout it all. The gardens were simply stunning, we were so lucky we got to have our garden wedding. The weather held out and the autumn colours were just gorgeous! Our guests were commenting on the beautiful trees and flowers and what a beautiful ceremony it was. Many also commented on the lovely food and the delicious organic wine! We are so grateful to all the team at Innishannon for all the work they put into our special day. We would love to do it all again! Thanks again, Dee & Jordan

We recently had a family birthday party here and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We were hosted in the Garden Room which has a capacity of 28 and it was ideal for what we wanted. Shane, Margaret and all the staff went above and beyond and the food and service were excellent.

Built in 1720, its hard to believe that Innishannon House is over 300 years old. Owned by the Roche family since 2005, the house stands on the banks of the River Bandon and has been operating as hotel since the 1960s. The architectural style in which the house was originally constructed is known as "petit château". The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden on 10 acres and it incorporates 11 bedrooms, one of which reputedly houses Winston Churchill's old bathtub. There is also extra accommodation available in lodges throughout the grounds. In my opinion, this venue is one of the best wedding venues and it encapsulates the quintessential Irish Wedding so well. The staff are always friendly and the setting, particularly on a fine day, is superb; which is why a lot of people opt to have their ceremony on the banks of the river, when the whether permits. There is a lovely energy at this venue and to me it feels authentic.

Some Hotels have certain criteria for having 5☆ Stars like having a swimming pool and a Gym etc etc and then you have places like this! On a sunny day overlooking the river and beautiful gardens this is the spot for me. It has had an extention to the bar since I was there last and it really is a superb addition and design. This Hotel still retains the charm of smaller hotels where the service is more intimate and you don't feel like your just part of a conveyor belt of the massive Hotels that are now the norm. If your bringing small children keep them close by and don't let them wander around. The river is easily accessible to small ones that are not supervised. If you want to go for a nice Sunday lunch or are thinking of booking a wedding or function on a slightly smaller scale, maybe 100 or less people, then look no further than here. This is a fantastic location and pure class inside.

Beautiful hotel and location. Was here for a wedding and the riverside area was one of the nicest I've seen. Really great place for photos. Found the room to be nice and spacious and the bed comfortable

Best wedding ever was had here, best atmosphere, stunning location and best food, well done to the chef and the great staff. I know the bride got the top level food package and the chef knocked it out of the park. Had weddings in 5 star hotels that did not compare, doing west cork proud 🙌 An elevated breakfast menu could be had to complete the package and turning on the coffee machine in the morning with the lovely Java coffee for a finishing touch to an event. Broke my heart when I was told no Java cappuccino after 3hrs sleep 😆, the morning after is technically still part of the wedding experience after all.

Absolutely beautiful little hotel, in the countryside along the river. I was there for a wedding, so the overall experience was amazing. The hotel itself is effectively set along the banks of the River among a small forest of deciduous trees. The gardens rolled down towards the river and the views are spectacular. The staff were genuine, and friendly. Food was amazing, and overall it was the perfect spot for a small wedding. I’d like to go back here again sometime for a weekend.

The sun was shining, a light breeze blowing. The setting is lovely, tranquil near the water. We sat outside having coffee, it was sheer bliss. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The coffee was lovely and good quality. The facilities were quaint and clean. I really enjoyed my day there, 11.08.21.

My family had lunch there last Sunday the food was very poor. My kids had chips as part of their lunch they were well over done. I had roast beef the portion was small the veg some chopped carrots in total 3 carrots with some chopped parsnips was tasteless. It was not much of a sunday roast .The beef was dry and not much taste. I think it was nearly 18 euros. I said it to the staff when paying and she said she would pass it on!! We had never been there before it was a lovely place but would not eat there again.
