Really fantastic dining experience. Elaine was such a great server, explaining everything and making sure all the food was to our liking. The drinks are unique and worth every penny. The food is spectacular, everything we tried was out of this world. The unique mixing of ingredients and textures really enhanced the experience. Really can’t say enough about Elaine. She knows her stuff and truly cares about the customer experience. She made an amazing meal even more special. Thank you!

This is a very small spot with limited seating. Make booking/reservations well in advance, particularly if visiting on a weekend. Popped in on a weekday night and was able to grab a table for two. The service was incredibly friendly. This place could be best described as “craft.” They take pride in their ingredients, cocktails, menu items, recipes, ambiance, everything. The food and beer were outstanding. Minimal vegetarian options, but what they did have were incredibly well done. I was impressed and will be back.

Brilliant beer, brilliant food, brilliant staff. In other words, brilliant. All beer brewed according to German purity laws. Food cooked to perfection. Fantastic rib-eye and beautiful soft and tender lamb. Fried pork belly and stuffed courgette flower starters. An absolute delight.

This is our new number one spot to go to on the city centre, the food is phenomenal, We tried the Fish of the day & the Wood Grilled T-bone steak, for sides we got smoked baby potatoes crème fraiche, caramelised onions & smoked king oyster mushrooms in panko crumb chorizo, aioli. We also tried got a tasting tray, where they explained the differences about the beers and what they were made up of. The service was fantastic, They’re really invested and they were well able to explain the menu to us in great detail. It was such a treat to get such great tasting food. We felt that we had got value for money and we will be back in the near future. Definitely put this on the list. #Foodie#Cork#Restaurant#Steak#Fish#Dinner#Dining#Craftbeer

Firstly, most important part, best meal in a loooong time. Not one part of the food wasn't full of flavour and made me want to savour every bite. Mussels for starters was like a bowl of hugs and pork belly was soul food, the tbone steak was absolutely class, cooked to perfection with beautifully balanced chared flavour, even the feckin mushrooms had some sorta breadcrumb and sauce combo that was unique and hearty as hell (plot twist; I'm not even a mushroom person). All of it..ALL..had texture and flavour for dayzzzzz. When you throw in the tunes, the chats and nature of the staff, the quality drinks and general ambience of the place then Elbow Lane topped our experience in Cork.

Where to start ! On arrival we were greeted and seated by the friendliest waiter I have ever met, he seemed to genuinely like his job, he talked us through the menu and specials in a way that made us want to order everything. The food here was amazing, probably the best steak I have ever had. Great food, lovely atmosphere and all for a reasonable price. The food alone is worth a visit but what really makes it special is the staff, the pride that they take in their produce is fantastic, each staff member was excited about what they were serving and genuinely thrilled that we enjoyed the food they that clearly and deservedly stand behind. This is what a dining experience should be.

Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Cork if not the best. Excellent food every single time with very friendly and attentive staff. I'm. Avery big fan of the ribs but steaks and fish are also very good. Only negative would be that salad potions with mains could do with having a little more. Beers are excellent.

I had read about this restaurant (I don’t remember where) and wanted to try when were here. We showed up at 5 pm and got a walk-in table. Staff and manager friendly, courteous and professional. While I normally order wine, I ordered the Angel Stout as they brew their own which was good. My wife ordered the Wisdom Ale which she enjoyed also. We ordered the grilled heritage carrots as a starter; I ordered the T-bone steak; as vegetarian options were limited, my wife ordered the fried oysters and the grilled courgettes.we enjoyed the heritage carrots; the steak was properly cooked but they lets it rest too long before delivering it to me. I also found it rather flavorless. My wife enjoyed the oysters but was not a fan of the courgettes. Overall, I thought the food was good but not great. I felt that the Executive Chef (or chef) has been influenced by Ottolenghi, which is great as we enjoy his food and cookbooks, but the execution here was such that the spices and sauces just didn’t gel. The restaurant is a great one for Cork. Just needs some fine tuning. Oh, and yes, we did buy a t-shirt to take home!

Absolutely a grand WOW! Food was amazing good and service was fabulous! We really enjoyed the beers we tried. They have their own smoker and fire pit grill. The t-bone was perfectly grilled with a super taste. They also have a fair selection of wine. That was a memorable dinner!

On vacation in Ireland, this was the best meal I had across the whole country!!! The service was absolutely fantastic and full of energy all around. From House crafted beers to house cocktails, every drink was delicious as well. Truly a privilege to be here! I would recommend going to Cork just for this experience! Really, I’d sell my soul just to eat and drink here. T-Bone and Ribeye are both top of the line!

Very nice place to eat. Booking is required. Quality food, great service. Quick serving. A bit pricey. Staff really likes their job, everyone is calm and competent. Great experience. Update: Being in Cork for longer time I would say it’s one of the best restaurants here. Highly recommended. Book in advance, always full. Oh, hot towel after finger food, the best!!!

This was a wonderful amazing place to find. The staff from management to the kitchen hand appeared to work well together, enhancingthe experience. This showed in the quality of the service provided to customers. The quality of the food and flavours was on point from fish to ribs. There is nothing I could fault about my experience except my belly was not big enough. The cherry on the top was all ingredients are sourced locally. Thank you for an amazing time on my last night in Cork (for this trip).

I've eaten here twice. It has a trendy atmosphere with beautiful cocktails. Some very punchy starters.. I'd highly recommend the pork belly. Had steak for my main. Personally, I'd prefer a 6oz or 8 oz filet rather than the T-bone and rib eye that's on the menu, but that's a personal thing. The sides are all bold, I recommend ordering all of them 😋 If you're visiting Cork, this place it well worth a visit, but you'll need to book in advance.

A little on the pricey side, but very good classic dishes. The beer is great; they do a mix of stouts and IPA brews, all in-house. The classics such as the T bone steak was well cooked and would recommend. The trout is also very tasty. The pork ribs take the cake in the value department as they were well priced and very tender. Overall a great spot on Plinkett!

I was lucky enough to be squeeze in at short notice. Great service. Pity about people listening to video's on next table. Dinner was great. Wonderful ingredients. Some quirky seasoning. Lamb sausages was very tasty. My rib eye really nice, a little more nude than I would normally go for. I'd go back.

We went to Elbow Lane for my boyfriend's birthday while we were traveling around Ireland. I booked almost a month in advance and I am so glad we did as they had no walk-in tables available. We both have nothing but excellent things to say about the service and the food. We each had the tasting tray B which included 4 beers and we got an extra because our waitress was so sweet. For appetizers, we had the croquettes and the brawn nugget. The croquettes were definitely rhe fan favorite of the two (but both were excellent). For the main course, my boyfriend had the woodgrilled t-bone and baby potatoes and I had the ribeye and Broccoli. These were hands down the BEST steaks we have ever had. For dessert, I had the poached rhubarb dish and my boyfriend had the chocolate mousse. We shared the dessert cocktail. Also, delicious! Elbow Lane makes their own beer and they are a smokehouse, so everything is done in-house. It's also fun because you get to watch the cook make your dinner. Again, we have absolutely nothing but excellent things to say about this place. From the service to the food to the recommendations from our waitress, everything was 12/10.

Third time at elbow lane and impressed again. Deep fried pork belly was amazing. Looking forward to come back in 2024

This place is incredible. My wife and I were seated at the bar for a reservation for two. Ronan was a kind host along with our bartender. The service and attention we had were among the best we’ve had anywhere in the world. My wife had the pork chop and I had the ribeye. I had a pint of their IPA they make and it was super good. I highly recommend this fine place.

Very enjoyable meal overall. There were certain dishes I would consider at Michelin star level and others that I didn’t enjoy as much. The belly pork snack was my dish of the day. I wasn’t as much a fan of the beetroot starter as I felt it was a tad bitter as a dish. The duck main course was delicious a fantastic quality piece of duck expertly cooked , the sauce was a tad bitter again for my taste but that’s just personal. The service was top class.

Was my first time here and really loved it! It’s a small dining space so be sure to book in advance. It was busy for a mid week night as well. The staff are all very friendly. Ciaran served us and he went through the menu in great detail. If you’re a meat lover, definitely go there for the steaks,🥩They also brew their own craft beer and ales and most food ingredients are sourced from the English Market. Will definitely be back for ribs next time😊

We were lucky to find this place still serving dinner at 21.30. A very kind waitress served us from the beginning till the end explained us every detail of the drinks (the beers are made by them!) and the food. The meat was astonishing, the sides too. We ended up with two different desserts which were perfect, generous and well presented. We also took a sweet Porto to accompany the desserts and it was great too. We strongly suggest you this place if you are looking for a perfect dinner which is not the usual Irish dinner. P.s. You can see the dinner cooked in front of your eyes since the kitchen is open to the clients view.

I forgot to take pictures of the mains because I was so hungry. They didn't disappoint. I think that the grill is primarily gas and that the oak adds flavor but not enough heat to cook. Everything was as well done as expected and we were lucky enough to sit at the table in front of the kitchen with a great view. We also had our best waitress in Ireland!

This place was amazing. It's small but cozy. The wood grill is great and so are the drinks. The smoked cocktail was awesome and the ribeye was delicious

We shared our wedding anniversary in Elbow Lane a few weeks ago. The first impression you get is the friendliness of the staff, so accommodating and very sincere. You can tell everyone in the place gets along and know what they’re talking about from their in house beers to their flame roasted main dishes. There are some nice fine dining touches in a place you can also appreciate as a cosy environment. Good music, open flames, great food. We’ll be back.

The most fantastic smokehouse I have been to in Cork. Firstly, the staff are outstanding, can't be more helpful, easy to chat to. Their own beer is to die for. All food is prepared right in front of you in an open wooden fire pit. I go there regularly to try out their beautiful t-bone steaks and baby back ribs. I'm slowly working down the menu!!!
