This place is, as always, mad busy. But I was in the city and decided to buy some hand towels. Fat, fluffy towels for 3.50 each! The queue for the cashier was quite long but moved steadily. I don't buy clothes here because, in my experience, plus-sized clothing is generally at least a size too small. Just because it said sz 20 on the label, it probably isn't.

Absolutely amazing customer service! I misplaced my phone and started to panic luckily a lovely customer assistant Sophie helped me to calm down and guided me towards the manager where he was able to return ny lost phone to me. Efficient, respectful and excellent staff!!! I will definitely be coming back and recommending to all of my friends. Thank you for the lovely Penneys experience!

Literally went in to buy one thing, it was the morning so it was quiet. The employee at the till could not have been more rude if she tried. I have worked in customer service for years so always approach the interaction in a friendly manner because I know what it’s like to be behind a till for hours. From the way she rudely “beckoned” me to the till to ignoring me and talking to her co workers throughout the transaction and then threw my receipt at me while not even taking a second to stop her conversation with the co worker.. it’s shocking someone can’t be nice for the sake of 2 minutes.

Very disappointed with man’s section that is getting smaller and smaller constantly. Seems that this is a standard for Penneys as same is happening in Wilton and other locations in Dublin. Size range is not great, looks like someone is making orders only for smaller sizes like xs, s, m, very little for bigger range. It used to be way better in the past, but now anymore.

Today afternoon I and my friend were trying on shoes and your employee was so rude to us when asked about something. Also, she picked the shoes we were trying, that behavior was so unprofessional and improper. Didn't expects these as I have shopped in Penneys several times. I don't know if the lady was having a bad day or was being racist as we were Indians.

As everyone knows, penneys is a great place for a bargain. They have a lovely range of hoodies, sweatshirts and jog pants to mix and match. The only disappointment was the limited range of Barbie merchandise.

I would highly recommend this to all international tourists who visit Ireland or any major City in Ireland that has Penny's. It is extremely convenient to buy day to day essentials, clothes, swim wear, even formal suits. This is a perfect store for the budget traveller. In comparison it a convenient store like Seven Elevan but for clothes, shoes bags day to day essentials. You will not find anything cheaper than Penny's if you want a disposable item or last minute buy. Even if you want to buy clothes that last here is a good spot to buy for those on a budget.

I visited Penneys in Cork City on 6/5/23. I could not locate an item I saw on the Window, so I enquired from an Assistant called Stephany, she was more than helpful, came to the window and looked and then checked, it was the last one but alas too small. Excellent service from Stephany. 👏

The most economical store in the city and a wide range of options available . Termed as a clothing store but features many other useful accessories.

Cheap and cheerful. Try to avoid busy periods as you can wait up to 40 minutes in a que to pay due to lack of cashiers.

Whey I'm from Newcastle and we have Primark. I am no stranger to Primark. However Penney's was cheap as chips, way cheaper than our Primark back home. Plus more organised. I wouldn't say bigger, just longer?

A lovely establishment. Prices are very reasonable and they always stock for the seasons ahead.

Big store with a wide range of items at various price points. It was interesting visiting this Penneys store and they have a great range of stock with friendly staff. The store was clean and the items were well organised. I would happily visit this shop again.

Beware of the female staff here. I had someone literally yelling at me and following me through the store after I calmly told her that someone had stolen my umbrella. An other time, a girl barked at me to exit through one of the doors...we are customers being treated like dogs. That was the last straw. I will go to Wilton moving forward as over there they are polite, helpful and even....nice (as in pretty much everywhere around)! Whatever is wrong with the staff and management of the Penneys on Patrick St, I hope they learn and become better. So far, it's a very bad colour on them...

Everyone loves Penny's. Charity shop prices and a huge range of clothing and makeup and lots more besides. Great shop.

To be honest penny's has gone very expensive, some pj's are 30euro for the set, €15 top €15 for the bottom , and the ones for 8 euro you wouldn't throw around your cat 🤣, ive gone back to dunnes for pj's for now and don't buy as much in penny's each week as prices have soared

I like the shop, nothing wrong with it. 1 star 🌟 down as it's normally so crowded it's hard to move so as a result I'd often just leave as I have no patience waiting 15 min for fitting rooms and then 10 at the tills.

Great prices, fast check outs helpful staff. Clothing not as versatile as it used to be. Also quality has decreased.

Worst place I've ever been, and I was in Belfast in the early eighties. Christ, still having flashbacks! T shirts for 2.50, not bad quality.

Great prices, has everything from men's to kids to women's, hair accessories make up, novelties

Very rude staff till #7 here in Patrick Street Cork branch today at 3:25pm. We were called in at Counter #8 but when we were on our way there someone was still paying at that till. Counter #7 was free at that time so we went to her but she rudely asked me what counter we were called & I said Counter #8 and this ataff on Counter #7 impatiently told us to go to a different counter as her customer is coming. 😡

I kid you not, their runners both 2 pairs lasted me 2 weeks each and the sole ripped off me while walking and just bought a second pair and the stitching around the toe area just opened even though its double stitched the material was not strong enough. I bought a pair in dunnes and they lasted me 3 months until the sole actually wore away and never fell apart. Apart from that, with the pennys runners have caused me knee pain, foot arch pain and chin pain all on one leg. Their material used is truly as cheap as you can get.

Great bargains on clothes. Expect store to be busy and long lines, but they move pretty quickly so don't get discouraged from the line.

Very nice place to buy, almost everything you want, for the cheapest price in the world...I wonder how can they do that?! I hope it's not labor exploitation! 😕

Staff are nice, variety of Male, female and children clothes and some household items at affordable prices are my delight in the shop.

Went in very late in the evening and was amazed how fast I was served , nicely laid out store will be back much easier than the Limerick store

  • 5/5 Colette M. 1 year ago on Google
Sure how can you go wrong with affordable clothing, cosmetics and jewellery? I'd say half of Cork would be naked without this brilliant shop😁

  • 4/5 Kim E. 1 year ago on Google
Love Penney's stores, but can you please stop having the people with the clipboards and notebooks discussing the displays and items at every single store on every weekend, who are inconsiderate of customers and get in the way constantly.

  • 5/5 Cathy B. 1 year ago on Google
Penneys is equivalent to Primark. Prices are very good..need to spend a bit more time trying to find what you want as clothes are packed so tight on hangers/counters

This is our go to place for our list of the garments needs. Penneys always serves our needs. The Christmas collections are so colorful and all the different varieties looks different than the regular ones. This place is in heart of the Cork city and hence it is best to go to this shop by walk as car parking is not available. But nearby paid car parks can be used to commute close by to this shop. The shop is well lit, well arranged. On the ground floor, it is full of Ladies segment. On the first floor, gents, boys and girls segments are available. The store has adequate escalators and lifts. The store has two entrances one via St. Patrick’s street and another via Oliver Plunkett street. It also has the adequate billing counters and staffs to help your needs. Staffs are super friendly to help you in your needs and when you seek them for a help. This particular store has much variety when compared to Wilton store. Good work by the city penneys team.

Very good value for money. Only drawback is bad selection of "regular fitting" clothing for men. Most of the jeans are "skinny jeans" and the shirts are tailor fitting. Ques are always long but plenty of staff on hand to keep them moving.

  • 3/5 Sandra S. 1 year ago on Google
Variety of clothing are meant for young adults. However, it seems to be very messy clothing arrangement because customers are no discipline to put back after their window shopping. Penneys needs a lot of written signboard to educate its customers to put back things in order. Need an organization and management skill in that store.

Penney's is probably one of my top favorite stores; huge selection, reasonable prices, and very speedy checkout. Just before Christmas there was a massive queue but it moved fast because there were SEVENTEEN tills open
