Excellent service as always. Staff are helpful without being in your face. Generally they keep a good stock. Shop was very clean and well light. I will be back. They email a copy of your receipt, but you don't get spam afterwards. Well done

I bought some swimming accessories here . I bought a swim cap and goggles. They have different sizes, for kids and adults , in different price range. I was hoping to fine a rain jacket here but they don’t sell any.

I have had a negative experience at Intersport Elverys, located at 120, Oliver Plunkett street, Cork. It is a bit of nonsense in my experience when it comes to selling treadmills. Every time I have inquired about a treadmill — which are clearly displayed in the shop with a price tag — they tell me its "unavailable". They won't sell the display model either, even though newer models are brought into the shop? Display models say nothing about availability, and for all intents and purposes you get the impression they are for sale. So it's cold shower after cold shower in telling you their not available when you want to buy, but face difficulties. What the treadmills, which are not available, are doing on display in the shop is anyone's guess... They seem to be wasting people's time. Even before Covid the availability of treadmills always seemed to be a problem. Other shops however have no difficulty. What is priced and marked for is sold in our retail shops. This crowd let you believe it's for sale and then you get the negativity. I have also found them slow to respond when you contact them by email, which takes a split second. They either don't respond or are very slow to respond. I am not encouraged to go there again and would not recommend them.

Absolutely brilliant customer service in the Oliver Plunkett branch when looking for new running trainers. Really knowledgeable, friendly (but not overly), great staff. Been trying my best to avoid buying online and from now on will be heading to Elverys as they deserve the business.

Pretty terrible. I have had some fairly bad experiences in this place before but the nonsense at the moment takes the biscuit. Save yourself time, effort and money and shop elsewhere.

Staff were extremely helpful and obliging, needed football boots for my daughter and after several searches finally got the pair she wanted.

5 stars all thanks to your staff! Almost went to a competitor sport shoe store, but nipped into Elvery's instead and you can thank Michelle for my custom! She approached me, a beginner runner and asked if I knew anything about neutral/stabilising shoes and I hadn't a clue. She tested my feet and pointed me in the direction of some running trainers and what she recommends. I didn't feel any pressure to make a decision on the spot and her advice was so valuable to me. Intended up buying Nike Pegasus trainers as she said she wears them too. Such a genuine interaction and great experience. While I was trying on trainers I heard her be at the receiving end of very curt rude interaction from a fellow customer and the way she handled it still smiling and being herself was also a show of her great customer service!

Every single time call into this store never seem to have anything am looking for... for example.. silicone swim hat for child/ adult with long hair ?? or a thigh support/Sleeve for a male ?? I get a look like as if I asked for a gold plated one?" "we only have wrist supports." huh ? I'd expect this in a local country town somewhere.. but NOT in a City Please elverys.. just "Do better " !! try to support local & Irish. ..but are forced to go to Sports Direct. like at least suggest , you'll order the item in.. instead of a mumbled "No " with a blank vacant look. " no we dont" There was a manager training .., and he even squatted down to try and assist more than the staff 🙄 the lease must be free in cork that's all I can make out..

It's a big shop with a lot of things but I found it disappointing that online shopping has more choices and the shop doesn't have even one piece of it in a store for "display". But it is a problem in entire Cork.

Bought a jersey from this store back in June and wished to get it printed at the time, was told that the name and number I wanted to get wasn't currently available but would be within a few weeks and would be ordered in. Followed this up for the past 4 months with 3-4 different people including the store manager only to be strung along every time. Was told in September that the lettering would be ordered and available to me that week, since then total radio silence. Have tried to get in touch again to see if the printing was available but to no avail. Usually wouldn't even bother to write a review but it was the constant kicking the can down the road that really got me, absolutely zero problem if the printing wasn't available but don't advertise a printing service if you can't follow up on it, at the very least be honest with customers if you can't the product in. Totally understand delays happen but we're nearing 5 months since the original purchase, simply unacceptable.
