The store itself is well laid out and easy to navigate. If you require assistance, the team is willing to assist you. The staff is well educated with the different types of toys and activities. You will need to wear a mask when entering the shop. You will need to sanitize your hands. Hi , I went in this evening at 7:10 and the store was closed , yet it is listed as not being closed till 8:00 on Thursday and Friday, now I've no way of collecting item's I've bought online as I work shift work. All of these times are listed on the website but yet not applied to the store , absolute disgrace as I went straight from work to collect and store is closed , please explain this to me ??? * just an update, I've been in contact with Kartal Customer Service Dept. Smyths Toys Superstores and has been nothing but helpful and empathic to this situation, this person should manage this store as they've truly shown customer service/support

Manager Jessica is horrible. Wouldn’t take my unopened return as she said it looked open. The tape was a tiny bit off and it arrived like that. Kinsale Road staff are great. Will stay away from the Maylor street store. Great online service.

Centrally located and surprisingly large, this Smyths has a terrific range with great prices. The store is well lit and has a spacious and neat layout leading to a relaxed shopping experience. Staff have always been friendly on each visit, and overall I can highly recommend this store.

Large Toy Store located in Cork City Centre. A place where toys have been bought and created fantastic memories for children all over Cork for the many years. The store has a ground floor and top floor. The ground floor has very tall and long running aisles full of toys. The aisles are so high staff have to use ladders to get people items on the too of them. A huge variety of toys from teddy's, dolls, electronic toys, books, and so much more. Also located on the ground floor is the video games section. Now adays the gaming sections games selection is (mainly) targeted in selling the latest games for the latest consoles (PS4, XBOX ONE, etc), there are games in pre owned sections for same and older consoles (PS3, XBOX 360, wii, etc). They also sell a small selection of DVD's in this section and gaming consoles themselves. On the top floor, which is accessible via escalator, lift or stairs is a large selection of outdoor toys and outdoor games. Similarly on this floor is board games, an extensive LEGO selection and large stuffed toys. The store is a great place to browse and pick up presents for people. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Phone does get answered and they are very polite, the lady in the gaming section Lindsey I believe! is a credit to the store as is Fred (Manager) , I may have not been the most polite all the time with my issue but I was dealt with in a very understanding and professional manner. To be fair all the staff in the gaming section I dealt with were very knowledgeable and helpful.

Fantastic range of toys dolls. You name it. Staff very help full. Prices of some of the toy outrageous.

Not answering phones, local stores won't take complaints nor provide you contact info of store manager, which is in breach of statutory consumer rights act 2015. Beware if you buy anything online and it is faulty, you might be ripped off because nobody wants to help you.

Good range of toys for all ages but difficult to find floor staff at this time of the year, when you are looking for something. One till open last Monday, and it was busy. Should consider some self service tills and also ensure at least one floor staff there at all times

Great toy store but I don't see much discount

I bought a game recently that was causing faults on my xbox one, returned to the store and was told that they would not give a refund or exchange as the game had been opened even though it was in perfect condition and bought less than a week prior, I was told they could test it but would have to return several hours later which would cost me more of fuel and parking than the game was worth, regardless of their policy they were in breach on my rights as a consumer and I will not shop with them again.

It can be hit and miss , staff try their hardest to help and won't say a bad world . But maybe management should try and go to the store and see what they have to do . Feel like they need more help

To Smyths in Cork City, on the 7th of Sep, 2023 This is shout out to the blone hair girl behind the register. I asked her to pick 3 boxes of sealed lego min figure because I couldn't chose in fear I wouldn't get the one I wanted. I can confidently say without her help I would never gotten the figure I so desperately wanted!!! She disserves a promotion to the highest standards and I very greatful for there services 😀😃🙂

Very bad service parcel delivered today missing stuff and another toy opened and plastic slit and missing what was inside 😡 and won't email back and can't contact them I have a very upset little boy today over this thankfully I checked in the box as I was gona wrap it for Christmas and stuff missing and opened tampered with just not good enough!!!!
