Actual castle ruin is inaccessible but free to go through grounds of stately house. Also brand new childrens play area with free parking is attached. From here you can cycle , jog, walk along loop trails by the river Blackwater and might see the white deer on hillside above.

The castle is ruined, but there is a white deer park and playground which children will definitely enjoy. There is also an old mansion House. Also there are walking trails next to the river which is very good. The timings are different in summer and winter. Check before planning. No entry tickets.

As stated by others, the castle is inaccessible as it's in ruins but you can still get some good photos. The rest of the grounds has a nice walk and it looks like someone is working on the stately house.

This is a hidden gem You would not believe the size of this park. You can spend an entire day there You can actually go fishing if you choose. There are sites to see off the main path. Orchids all over the place. Really a hidden gem and worth a destination

This is a lovely building . A lovely place to walk the dogs and even bring a picnic. The OPW are working on these magnificent buildings. They are working on the beautiful walkway by the river . In right in the middle of the town

Amazing family friendly tourist spot. Recommended for local, tourist and everyone in between to visit. Happily spend the day there and great access into town tobget some food or do some shopping. Brilliant day, or few hours. Can't recommend it highly enough. 10/10. The OPW have done an amazing job with this one 👏

Stunning! I was not aware of this castle and when I have been there I was speechless. Situated in the heart of Mallow it has a lot green area areound that you can visit. The indoor of the castle can't be visited but even the outdoor is beautiful.

Lovely for a walk around. Cannot go inside the castle house. White deer are nice to see. Not allowed drive in to park when there. Maybe there are days one can drive in. As there is ample parking once one navigates the narrow drive.

Actively under renovation, but still very worth a visit. Castle is right in town and just a short walk.

Nice place to visit and spend some time. Large spaces to walk, nice little castle and ruins.... However the grass is not well maintained in certain areas, no public toilets, Parking can be an issue too.

Lovely castle, falling apart. It is blocked off around the back. It is surrounded by a lovely park and another large building and a cool dragon chair ! Perfect place for a picnic !

Gates close around 7p.m. Mallow Castle is a nice spot for all group types. It's spacious, maintained very well and it has table seating behind the estate house to sit and eat. The interior of the castle itself is also blocked from public entry to protect from injury via the derelict inner walls.

What an absolutely fantastic park to bring kids. Younger and older kids. There is something for all ages. We parked in the little car park and didn't expect the playground to be the way it was. It was huge. Lovely walkway also. Went down to the old building then and there was a lovely little coffee stall there with lovely coffee and picnic tables. The only down side was the wind. We were blown away but with the kids having so much fun running around they didn't feel it. But I couldn't get them back out the car so I felt all the cold 🤣 Most definitely highly recommend. It's a must if in the Mallow area.

Fantastic Playground, it's a credit to Mallow. Kid's love going there. Toilet facilities X 2 are available which is very convenient. Picnic tables available. Place is kept very neat and clean. Excellent setup all round.
