Detailed museum with many artifacts and firsthand accounts of the turbulence of the 1800s and early 1900s as it relates to the area. A very knowledgeable and friendly researcher on staff who answered our questions! Has a bathroom too.

This museum was a wonderful discovery. Based on donation it describes the history of the Irish independance war with an objective and local voice. All we can wish is for this museum to grow more and more in the future because it's that good you want more people to know about it. Aegon is delightful, he loves his museum, loves to talk about it and loves to learn and discuss with visitors. We only had very little time but I wished I could have stayed longer to pursue the discussion.

Fasinating detail and unexpectly through in artefacts especially re Terence McSwiney. €5 represents good value.

What an amazing museum, which the local community has created and maintained since it first opened! I "stumbled" upon it, and I'm so glad I did. It was an informative experience. However, in addition to knowledge, I gained insight into the personal lives of the people involved in the early events that lead to independence in Ireland.

Absaloutely love this museum. So much to see for quite a small museum so I'd advise giving yourself time to take it all in. Staff are very friendly and helpfull and I would highly recommend a visit.
