Dermot Voted Best guide in Ireland.I wholeheartedly agree. If you are visiting Kinsale I cannot recommend Dermot enough. This is a fun and entertaining way of learning the history and the hidden gems, secrets of Kinsale. Dermot has true Cork wit mixed with a invaluable knowledge of Kinsale.he uses pictures and stories to bring history alive right before your eyes. Walking with Dermot Ryan is as if you were walking through Kinsale with the Mayor,Everyone knows him and the banter between him and the passing locals adds to the tour. This is a professional, entertaining and must see tour.

Went on the walk with Dermot on Friday morning. So knowledgeable about the history of Kinsale. It was over all too quickly, I could have followed him around all day. A very witty man with a lovely Irish accent - what’s not to like? Irene and Kevin

We did the 10.30am tour this morning. It was very enjoyable and at 5 euros for a one hour stroll and all the history, very good value for money.

Dermot is a national treasure but until that recognition is bestowed upon him, make sure you spend some time with him in Kinsale! He was knowledgeable, funny, engaging and we wished the tour went on all day. Our family of 5 loved the Heritage Walk

Combination of detailed information and well paced made this an enjoyable tour. If you are looking for intimate knowledge of the town and people, detailed history of the area, and a good wit, then this is the trip for you. Small and intimate.

We had a hoot with Dermot! He has so much knowledge and added a wicked twist to the stories from the past. Wished the tour was longer. Highly recommended

Amazing tour with Adrian, who was helping Dermot out while he was sick. Very informative about the history and importance of Kinsale. We thought we were just going to a cute costal town...instead we stumbled upon an important historical city that played a pivotal role in many events of Irish history. We learned things we never would have known or learned on our own. He also made it enjoyable for the kids and tried to engage them whenever he could!! Highly recommend if you have an hour to spare!! Just email him to book in advance and he will meet you at the visitor center.
