Great menu, fantastic food, generous portions and very well priced..

Had a lovely Sunday lunch. Quite busy & service was a little stretched. Food was good.

If you come to Porthcawl, then you must eat here! Beautiful tasty food at a reasonable price. Staff friendly and hard working! Sunday lunch to die for!

Enjoyed the warm cosy atmosphere that was on offer on a cold and stormy night. We enjoyed freshly prepared food at a reasonable price served by two lovely friendly ladies. We would definately go back, especially with the dogs which are also welcome!

Food was absolutely stunning the place is lively covid rules were really followed even though some customers were making that difficult the staff was lively aswell will defi3be back.

Didn't look that great from the outside but a good surprise. The trout special was excellent but the cod was slightly overcooked in a brittle batter. The salad, sauces and chips were home-made and rather good. Decent value for money.

As always it was a beautiful experience to have been there once again. My food was perfect. My sister enjoyed her birthday meal and first experience of Saltwater Inn. Can't fault them one bit. I had the All day Steak brunch (upgraded my 6oz to a 10oz) and for dessert I had Jam Roly Poly and Custard.

Me and my partner dined here tonight and the Food was absolutely lovely just a lot of it staff is really friendly and really lovely not a bad price for what you get as well all in all highly recommend this place

Our first visit & definitely won't be the last. Good portions of tasty food, very friendly staff. Dog friendly with views across the sea. All four of us were very pleased with the food & service we received.

Well I have to say on behalf of myself and partner... we have always eaten here and never had a bad experience... tonight August 5th 2023 was no exception.. my partners birthday we decided to spend the evening eating and drinking here at the saltwater Inn as we did on our first date 5 years ago and have continued to do on numerous occasions... our meals were absolutely outstanding the customer service we received was 10 out of 10 .. so we honestly can't understand what the negative reviews are about? ... yes everyone will have a different opinion on food and service but in our case we can't fault this lovely place where we always choose to eat .. overall 10/10

Visited last week with my family. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the saltwater chicken. The staff were friendly too! Every one of us was pleased with our meals! Also, the onion rings are HUGE!

An excellent meal with everything cooked to perfection. It was lovely sitting outside with the sun shining. All 5 meals were served exactly at the same time so we could all begin our excellent meal together.

Friendly service and delicious food. Very reasonable price. Generous portion. The lunch specials are marvelous! Especially impressed with the 20 oz Pork Tomahawk Steak.

The food was not very good but the waitress was excellent in trying to resolve the issues and gave our feedback on the day to the chef. It may have been a bad day as twice before food was okay. Pastry on pie raw, extra hot curry did not taste hot, chips undercooked,, pompadom greasy, nam not toasted, rice watery and the madras was more like mulagatawny soup. On the plus side scampi was nice and the beef was tender.

Beautiful Sunday lunch for Father's day. Everything cooked beautifully and good size portions. Great value too! Service however was slow and waitresses were ignorant and rude. Shame, as a cracking business is being let down by staff who appear too keen to get home early 😕

15/5/23: booked a table for 2 & again didn't disapoint 🙂 food & service 10/10 Popped in here with my wife & our dog to see what the food was like as this is our pick for date night this month 😉 I had cajun chicken burger & my wife had corned beef pie. OMG, the portions were huge. The handcut chips were like we wedges & everything was cooked perfectly. It was very busy when we arrived at 12.30 (no booking) so we had to wait for 30 minutes for a table, not a problem as we went shopping. Surprisingly my pint of Pepsi max was only £1.98 😲 where I'm used to paying a lot more. Very friendly staff, excellent value for money & a nice atmosphere for a lunch time. We will definitely be coming back for date night & I'm looking forward to a 20oz steak. Also will recommend to family & friends. Sorry no photos as we were starving 😅

I had the Christmas menu Camembert Turkey Cheese board It was amazing ,the camembert ful 2-3inch round cooked to perfection I didn't eat the Yorkshire purely cos I was stuffed And cheese was packed for me to take home Absolutely beautiful , hot flavourful yummy goodness And the latte was lovely too

What a find. Lovely good grub at a reasonable price, very prompt service, very pleasant and friendly staff. Hence clean plate. Corned beef pie and chips.

Came here as a family for food and I have to say we were not disappointed. We were greeted by Andrew front of house and he always fab! Built a great rapport with our group straight away. Food was quick and some of the nicest food I've had when eating out. Can highly recommend and will definitely be back

Lovely staff and hearty food. More potato side choices, than I thought possible. Sadly the view wasn’t terrific…but it the pub can’t control the view.

Me and my daughter visited Salt Water Inn on our short break to Porthcawl. The service and food were both excellent. Made to feel very welcome. We both had starters and mains which were tasty and very good portions. I will definitely be visiting again next time I'm down this way.
