Everything is self-service which should not be an issue for tourist (wonder why other visitors complain bout it). Tip: They only serve Blackened Blue Marlin in limited number I think? So come in early, so you can order one.

Food really was delicious and for a reasonable price too (60 pesos for a beer and 190 for my meal). Service was poor as they didn't bring our beers despite reminding a couple of times nor did they seem clear on what had been ordered. Ultimately though I would recommend, food was great!

Best dinner in coron. I was recommended the catch of the day in the yellow curry and it did not disappoint. They give you so much fish and the curry was so flavorful. Paired with with garlic rice. My boyfriend got the prawns with stir fried vegetables. He also really enjoyed his food. Highly recommend this place in coron. They also have live music.

Restaurant is cut in two parts: asian side and mexican side. We only ate on the asian side. Food is canteen style and is solid. Everything was delicious.

Lovely restaurant in Coron Town with good variety of local dishes. Very welcoming and excellent food at good price. We tried several restaurants in Coron and this was by far the best...we visited here 3 times during our stay. Fish dishes were particularly good. Seared blue marlin was perfectly cooked (seared and blue/rare) and one of the best fish dish we've eaten anywhere. I'd highly recommend.

We went there several times during our stay in Coron. Unlike some other places that we tried in Coron, the staff at Umamikusina is friendly and welcoming (with a big smile). After going there several times and being disappointed because their blue marlin ceviche and the blue marlin tataki were sold out, we finally made it on time one evening! We rushed into the restaurant to make sure we'd order those dishes before anyone else does. We did not regret ordering them, they were delicious. It's difficult to know in advance whether blue marlin dishes will be available because it depends what fish are caught in the morning (which means it's always fresh from the market) and if you're unlucky, you may also get there once it's already sold out. The posted pictures below are Tuna Sisig (which was nice to change from beef or pork sisig that I had in several places), sizzling blue marlin, fish in coconut milk (really cheap for the quantity of fish that you get!), blue marlin tataki and blue marlin ceviche. We were just disappointed once about one dish : the chicken & chili garlic dish was not so tasty and it was pretty heavy (it's the one on the picture with the fish in coconut milk). We actually didn't expect to get that (although we didn't ask in advance to know what it was). Careful, when you take the forks and spoons from the self-service area beside the counter, they are in boiling water to keep them clean so it means they are burning. I'd always take them with a few napkins not to burn myself 🔥 We definitely recommend this place 😋

Grilled squid - grilled perfectly, it was soft and not charred. Best with soy sauce and vinegar dip Shrimp in red curry - tasty, not spicy. But 5 pieces only Umami fried rice (small) - good for 2-3 people. Got veggies, tastes like the usual fried rice Stir fry tofu - tasty and soft tofu Isla passionfruit punch - perfect sweet and sour cocktail Place is a bit hot, there are only a few ceiling fan

Seafood mee goreng was good. But there’s more toppings than actual noodles. Pork sisig was better than the octopus sisig. I don’t get the hype over octopus sisig. Our server was attentive and helpful. Overall- good value for money. They have reasonable prices.

We bought three sisigs here. Sisig review: their squid sisig is delishoso (yummy) compared to the pork or chicken sisig. Their waitresses are not that well-trained and pleasant. They have a poker faced expression. Waiting time is almost 15-20 minutes. Their coconut is huge. I wish they cooled it or placed ice. Plenty of customers would have been very happy to decrease their thirst. Ambiance of the place is not that great, its a typical sinugba place.

We were looking for fresh seafood at a local place and they did not disappoint. They had a small selection of local favorites, and options based on the catch of the day. We had res snapper curry and sinagong, house special rice, grilled chicken, garlic butter shrimp, mee goreng, sisig, and they even made off menu chicken sinagong for one of our kids. We were drinking Coke and when they ran out of cold Coke he ran across the street to get a cold one from the shop. There was a rolling blackout to the neighborhood when we first arrived, but they have a generator so it was only dark in the restaurant a few minutes. Amazingly friendly service.

Great place to try some local cuisine. The service is a bit all over the place and disorganized, however the dishes are amazing. I had the pork sisig and loved it, chopped very finely and full of flavor. My husband had a fish dish which was quite huge. If I recall correctly they accepted card.

Best food in town, came back two night in a row. With better music and candles this place would have a Michelin star, it is that good! @martintravelmaniac

The best restaurant in Coron :) great food and service. Absolut delicacy in the town of Coron. The umami rice is super nice as well as the spice dumplings, also the juices are fantastic. Super tasty. Mimi also makes the effort to give the service. He is a 10 out of 10.

Hands down the best food in Coron. We were here 5 years ago and knew we had to come back. Chef and Host KT is delightful and and an amazing cook along with her husband. The place has a great family feeling and is very charming. We loved meeting Draego he was the star of the show! We had amazing pork and tofu sizzling sisig, homemade pot stickers, bbq grilled chicken and pork which comes with an incredible sauce. We also tried the homemade meegoreng noodles, again top notch. The other great thing about umamikusina is the pricing is really fair and much more reasonable than some of the other restaurants in Coron.

The food was amazing! The service was great (I rate the *service* 3/5 because the average Joe may need some patience). The shrimp curry was 10/10 as well as the tuna sisig (both of which were recommended by reviews!). I had a few beers while waiting for the food and the time passed quickly between ordering and getting the food (I was solo). Order rice as neither dish comes with it. I would revisit this establishment. I was there around 15:45.

Good value for money and vibes here with the cover acoustic songs they play. They even have live music sometimes. The service and seafood here is good. We tried the sizzling octopus sisig (my fave out of all the dishes), umami special fried rice (the small portion was more than enough for 3 adults), seafood mee goreng, garlic butter prawns and red curry prawns, which were all flavourful. We finished everything. We wouldn’t mind coming back because the ceviche and tuna tataki they are known for were sold out when we went. There are stray dogs that roam around close to the tables sometimes though. They don’t have AC so it’s best to choose tables close to the door.

Simply the best place to eat in Coron. Delicious, value for money, and lovely staff. Everyone was super welcoming and attentive. The food was quick, honest and scrumptious! We LOVED IT! Especially the dumplings and the pot stickers!

Shrimps in Red Curry (P375.00) Rating: 10/10 So sooo goood! I think I just found a new favorite dish. ♡ We ate this 2 nights in a row. That's how addicting it is! Tastes like a fancy version of binagoongang talong except it's shrimp and much more flavorful. Seafood Meegoreng (P260.00) Rating: 8/10 Overwhelming umami although it's quite an interesting taste. I liked it somehow but no repeat order for me. Tuna Sisig (P330.00) Rating: 7/10 Too salty and dry for my taste even after squeezing in some calamansi juice. Service: 10/10 Food was served hot after around 30 mins despite coming in during busy hours. And though it's a self-service restaurant, the staff was considerate enough to assist. Ambience: 10/10 Gives off a fun, vibrant vibes. IG-worthy, thanks to the mexican resto beside it. Make sure to come before 7PM as it gets full easily, maybe because customers have to share the dining area with those of the adjacent resto.

The catch of the day cooked in a pot was great and the stir fried noodles with chicken was delicious! We were going to order more if we weren’t so full from the food. The food portions are good and worth the price.

The service was really fast and the food was delicious, great atmosphere too! The restaurant is split into two, half Filipino and half Mexican. We tried a dish from both and we're impressed by both of our dishes. The Mexican is much more expensive, we had shrimp in the Tacos and the menu says +50 pesos. But we didn't realise it was +50 pesos per taco, so it did work out quite expensive overall, but they tasted great!

Worst dining experience in Coron. 1. The burrito tasted just like plain rice, no flavour at all. They don’t use the typical ingredients for burrito fillings. The cabbage or whatever was at the bottom didn’t taste nice. Super dry chicken 2. Nachos were a joke. We ordered beef nachos, there was barely any meat but after trying it, it was chicken, we told the waitress and she said no that is beef.. the only good thing were the tortillas. But the toppings, again, dry meat and not nice. 3. We ordered a side of guacamole for the nachos, which came 10 minutes after the nachos.. the portion size was ridiculous, we could just dip 2 nachos each and it was finished.

Mouthwatering experience! We enjoyed every single bite! Sizzling blue marlin, cha gio and umami fried rice is very good❤️ if you're in coron, don't miss this place!

We went to Umamikusina but (by accident) ended up in the little mexican restaurant in front of it. This place is split up in two different restaurants with different menu's. The mexican part restaurant cannot be found on google maps yet (if I am correct) In the beginning it was a little confusing but we ended up going for the Mexican food anyway. Nacho's and tacos were extremely tasty and tasted very fresh. Service was great. If you feel like it, they have some amazing quality tequilas and cocktails.

Absolutely delicious. Had the tuna sisig the first time and came back a second to try octopus sisig. Both were outstanding. Would 100% recommend for Filipino food in Coron

We ate here the first night in Coron…should have eaten here every night. Not to be rude about other places but most are often are a bad attempt at “western food” and not every Filipino place is the best. Trip advisor is way off on some places. This is real food with clear understanding of food and actually sourcing the best ingredients. I am fairly confident 50% of the places use frozen products but this is all fresh

I stumbled into this great local eatery by chance right before closing one evening and probably had the best Seafood Mee Goreng I ever had ... perfectly balanced flavors. Went back the next day (twice) for the local White Snapper in Coconut Milk and ultimately for the Blue Marlin Tataki & Sizzling Blue Marlin for dinner. The owner had proudly showed me the freshly caught Marlin when I had passed by for lunch earlier in the day which wet my appetite. Everything was outstanding, and the staff charming and attentive. :) Great Job ...

We didn’t expect that. We read the rating of this restaurant before and the last days we would try the curry here. But then, a fews days later we tried another dishes. That was definitely not a mistake. It was very, very delicious and I can definitely recommend the garlic & chili chicken 🤤 The music makes us a little bit crazy, but the food got all our attention 😎

The food was oke. But we had to wait atleast two hours for our food. There were multiple tables complaining so i guess its nothing new here.

They offer wide variety of food not just filipino food. We tried their sizzling squid and the seafood mee-goreng. They specializes in all of the offered sinugba (grilled) dishes. Friendly staff.

THIS PLACE IS CALLED UMAMI KUSINA NOW. Same owner, just a rebrand and new menu. Place is delicious, best sisig in town and has a ton of different yummy options other than grilled stuff - which is fabulous.

What a great place! Definitely my number 1 restaurant in Coron!!! Went there 3 times during my stay! The food is beyond delicious and is really unexpensive compared to the other restaurants I coro. The staff is so nice and particularly the waiter with his little poney tail! He took care of me all 3 times and he is just adorable!

Great local food and atmosphere. This is a restaurant that uses self-service, which is totally fine for me. Food was some of the best we had in Philippines so far! Only downside is that the kitchen is the bottleneck meaning that dishes weren't served at the same time.

👍👍 Italian delights in Coron! The room is dark, setting that romantic atmosphere. Everyone is requested to take their shoes and slippers off.
