Great food, Huge portions so show up hungry. Nicer than a regular taco shop, not quite a sit down, somewhere in between.

Ok to say they have the best fish taco burritos is an understatement. The owner is the kindest person. The food is phenomenal.

Possibly the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. The pineapple and papaya marinade on the fish blends so well with the fresh cabbage slaw and chipotle sauce. All of their fish is fresh and the prices don’t reflect that at all. The amount of food you get is fantastic for the price. The house made spicy pickled carrots were delectable, the four salsas were spicy and fresh to go with their fresh corn tortilla chips. Gluten-free friendly options by means of corn tortillas in lieu of flour tortillas make this stop a must go. They also have a ton of healthy options! For dessert, French vanilla cream stuffed fresh churros that my husband absolutely loved! The owners are such sweet and friendly people too! We can’t wait to come back in January on our next visit. Thank you again!

Didn't know this was here and drove by it for years. I ordered online and picked it up within 15 minutes. I was greeted by the owner I believe and she knew my name immediately and was very friendly. I ordered the fish burrito but I think next time I will try the lobster or the carne asada burritos. Very clean and friendly atmosphere!

Me and my friend discovered this place the first day we came to SD and it’s absolutely amazing. During the 1 month trip we basically come here at least twice a week. The food was delicious, the staff was really nice, great value as well!

Simply Delicious. We had Grilled Chicken Fajitas and fish n shrimp burrito, both of them are really delicious. The staff are so friendly and you should try it out if you are looking for a delicious Mexican food.

Cashier and workers were friendly. Food was great! Nice decorations for a little taco shop. People can eat inside or outside. Can order online ahead of arriving the restaurant. Nice! Will visit again when in the neighborhood.

Update: still the best Best mariscos taco shop north of point loma. Covid changed things for dine in but its still great to go. This isnt my favorite taco shop in our nighborhood but if u like seafood tacos/burritos and high end ingredients this is the best you will do north of point loma. Dare you to Try. 20+ year neighborhood resident. This time I tried the lobster taco, scallop taco, fish taco and bean toadtada. Lobster is better as a burrito. I'm glad I tried the scallops. Service was pleasant

Update: Visited again, and it was just as good as 2 months ago! Had the seafood burrito again, phenomenal! Original: Best meal of our week in the San Diego area. Had the renowned seafood burrito and it did not disappoint. Everything In it was fresh, from the lobster to the scallops and even the special wrap was delicious. Also had the fish tacos (the owner noted he had just gotten his delivery of red snapper). They were fresh too! Even the chips and salsa are homemade—-the salsa having a particularly savory taste to it reminiscent of Roman fish sauce. Highly recommend! Oh and forgot my wife’s favorite—the churros stuffed w/Bavarian creme.

Great place to get a burrito or tacos. The lady taking orders is very friendly, attentive and mindful of the guests. The food is delicious. There is a handful of salsa available (mild, medium, spicy) as well as some peppers, they have a fountain drink option, and the food does not take long to come out.

The Owner who is also a Chef is awesome and super friendly. Best food I have had in California. Highly recommend the Lobster Burrito, Surf and Turf (Steak and Carne Asada ), the Seafood Burrito or the fish taco . All were so fresh and tasted amazing. Had no choice but to order again after eating so I could have leftover for later.

In a recent visit to San Diego we stumbled upon Mi Ranchito Restaurant near Poway. The food was truly the best Mexican fare I have experienced anywhere. Upon the recommendation of the owner's son, I went with the Seafood Burrito. This outstanding burrito overstuffed with seafood could easily feed 2 people. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we stopped back a couple days later to try something else on the menu. The fish tacos were equally as good. The owner is a delightful lady and we met her two sons who also work very hard to make this a wonderful dining experience. I can't praise Mi Ranchito enough. Try it, you will love it!!

The fish (red snapper) tacos were hard shell and very delicious. The salmon bowl was a bit underwhelming -- too much lettuce in my opinion. And needed more seasoning. Chicken tacos were great; good flavors. Veggie burrito supreme was delicious as well. All the salsas were tasty. My favorite was the Chili one. Owner is friendly and accommodating.

Mi Ranchito is a family-owned restaurant and they really treat everyone like family. Our favorite order is the surf and turf burrito- there’s so much flavor packed in it! We’ve also enjoyed their seafood burrito and quesadilla. It seems like all orders come with fresh tortilla chips. Portions are big. Whether we’ve dined in or got take-out, we’ve always been satisfied and will keep coming back!

I have been driving past this place for years and finally walked in after several recommendations. The owner genuinely treats you like family! He was even giving out free drinks during the heatwave… So thoughtful of him. I ordered the surf and turf burrito and it was fantastic. As a San Diego local that grew up in San Ysidro, this food is NO JOKE!

The food was excellent and the service was even better. They were patient with us taking our time to order in our first visit. And they threw in free drinks and brought us a free dessert after we ate. The food came out quickly and hot. The rolled tacos were exceptional. Highly recommend stopping for quick carry out or to sit down with your family.

If you order the fish tacos, do make sure they actually put some fish in them. Mostly lettuce, tomato and other fillers but only one small piece of fish on each taco, as long as your middle finger and about as big around. Kind of sums up our overall experience. Place rated at 4.7 stars. Not impressed.

Excellent service, so many options but I came on Friday and was able to get the Friday only green sauce enchiladas. They were really good. Beans and rice were perfect. But if your going to come don't forget the dessert! So so good.

First time here. Food was amazing. I ordered the seafood burrito and it was delicious. Packed with all sorts of yummy seafood. Very generous portion. Wendy (owner) was so friendly and accommodating. She even gave us free drinks and dessert. Such amazing service. I will be coming back here soon!
