Working with Sowers ministry & seeing the locations God has provided is truly amazing. Texas Baptist Encampment is one of those places. Great staff, great food, great location worshipping our Great God.

This is one of the coolest campgrounds in the entire state of Texas! (Maybe not temperature wise in July, but atmosphere, location and activities available, too cool!) Highly recommend if you get a chance!

This institution has been ministering to young people since 1902. The facilities are some of the best in the camping world. They can easily accommodate hundreds of campers in a well equipped campus located on Tres Palacios bay, (part of Matagorda Bay) in the small Texas Gulf resort of Palacios, TX. The activities are wholesome and Christian oriented, structured to influence and encourage an understanding of Christian principles and lifestyle. The staff are committed Christians who love their work and consider their jobs a calling.
