I forgot my debit card but was able to call in and use my card on my phone. Which was huge. I was given a to-go order but wanted to eat by the river walk. I took out my food and put it on a plate and immediately Jarvis the All-Star waiter here recognized it was not the 500° plate and offered to give me one and immediately brought one out. It was the exact experience I wanted, was coming to Ruth’s Chris eating my steak on a 500° plate. Jarvis was attentive and very helpful. He was not my waiter because I had ordered the food to go but he was still aware enough to take care of me. Please request JARVIS if you ever come .

So amazing definitely the best steak and lobster tail I've eaten in a long time. I can honestly say it was DEFINITELY worth the money. An shout out to our waiter Ernesto he just made our first experience much more better, and Ernesto if you read this keep up the amazing job you are doing.

Wonderful experience. Been to many Ruth’s Chris steakhouses before and this one takes the cake! Make sure to ask for Jarvis. He was our waiter and made us feel like royalty. Also ask for “memo”. New hire there that worked hard for us. Enjoyed our 17th anniversary tonight. Would highly recommend!!!!

This was our first time at Ruth’s Chris in San Antonio and it was by far our best restaurant experience while here. All the staff was very friendly and the establishment had an excellent ambiance. Our waiter, Jarvis, went above and beyond in his service to us. When I needed something, Jarvis had it delivered to the table in no time. No doubt we’ll be returning when we’re in the area again and most certainly will be asking for Jarvis! PS, go ahead and get the Crème Brulee

Jarvis was absolutely delightful. By far my most enjoyable experience at a steakhouse. I would highly recommend for anyone to come and dine in, you will not regret it. Note, the blueberry mojito is phenomenal.

Jarvis was the best server that I have ever had. I travel for a living all over the world, and he has exceeded any of my past experiences in any country. He greets everyone by name and makes sure that his customer's needs are met. He is truly an asset to this location. Carlos the general manager came out to make sure my meal was cooked properly and that everything met my expectations. Great outdoor patio area to enjoy your dinner.

Jarvis and Luis are wonderful waiters! Highly recommend! Top of the line customer service, date night could have not gone better. Akeem accommodated us with only the best and Memo made sure our table was in tip top shape! Chef Victor came out with a request from my boyfriend and lit our desert on fire, the night could have not gone better. Thank you so so much!

I was overcharged & service meh. To be clear, the taste of the food is 5 star.Server was- nice but not forthcoming with details and gave wrong info. See the pics, esp the menu and my receipt. I ordered the prefixe, $67. I asked if I could sub out the sides & dessert. She said yes but didn’t mention there’d be charges for each. I get it; it’s fine dining, they don’t discuss $ a lot. However, MY SOUP never arrived! Got my appetizer, then dinner. I was so excited for the steak, I got right to it and forgot about the soup. I remembered halfway thru dinner but didn’t want soup then. Server didn’t check back for a while so I couldn’t even tell her. Lastly, I subbed out the prefixe cheesecake for banana pudding, which the server said they had. I’m like wow! Restaurants never have banana pudding as a dessert, give me that! Turns out: It’s banana crème pie! Fortunately it’s delicious, but it’s not the banana pudding I thought I was ordering. I got the soup and banana pie boxed up to go along with the rest of my dinner to enjoy at the hotel. No soup arrived. No banana pudding existed. You’d think I’d get something taken OFF the bill! Nope I what I got instead was an EXTRA charge stating I’d subbed out the soup BUT IT WAS ACTUALLY A PREFIXE ITEM! Plus got extra charges for my 2 sides — 1 side a sub price and the other side I was charged full price! — AND up-charged for subbing my WRONG dessert I was served…which I discovered back at the hotel bc they’d brought that out boxed up. When I asked why my bill was so high when the prefixe was $67, server said, “Oh bc you subbed.” At that point I hadn’t even noticed the erroneous soup sub. First time to San Antonio and I LOVE it! Wish my Ruth’s Chris experience had matched the other greatness of SA, TX. Do better Ruth’s Chris.

My Fiancé and I came for a last minute dinner. Jarvis was a great server, he made us feel welcomed and was super attentive! He had great suggestions and was super friendly and helpful. We ended up ordering the tomahawk steak and lobster Mac and cheese. Yes it was on the more pricey side but definitely worth every bite and when do you ever go out to a nice fancy dinner. Would definitely come back and ask for Jarvis again. Also all the server assistants were super helpful and friendly as well.

Didn't a night at the Grand Hyatt last week and decided to visit Ruth's Chris steakhouse. Had a wonderful meal with Israel as our server. My wife was celebrating and ordered the petite filet and ate every bite. Cooked to perfection for her and really delicious. I ordered the blackened snapper which was amazing, perfectly cooked and steaming hot from the first bite to the last bite. My son had the kids sliders and devoured them. Can't wait to return in our next trip to San Antonio

We celebrated a birthday among a party of six, with our reservations yielding no wait when we arrived and were instantly seated. Our party was welcomed heartily, and we ordered wine and cocktails to start. Appetizers included the Osso Bucco Ravioli, which stood out among our orders, and we hopped into salads, which were fresh and the blue cheese on my wedge quite flavorful. The main course arrived soon after that, and my 16oz ribeye was cooked to perfection, with the medium rare slab of beef yielding incredible flavor in every juicy bite. I accompanied mine with a Béarnaise sauce that was delightful. Dessert arrived, with a cheesecake adorned with a “Happy Birthday” message and the chocolate cheesecake providing our group with the necessary sweet notes to finish our grand meal. Of course, the service for our dinner was exceptional, with our waitress providing attentive service without intruding on our lively conversations. Our leisurely meal lasted a few hours and never felt rushed or unwelcome. We immensely enjoyed our birthday meal at this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place for a special dinner.

Great food and even more fantastic service. Jarvis, Hailey and Agustin made our experience here extraordinary. The lobster appetizer was a treat, the garlic crusted steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were all delicious. The meal was the high point of our tour of the Mission state parks in San Antonio.

We came here for a family dinner to end the year and see the Christmas lights downtown. The service was excellent, very friendly, and professional. The calamari was good but the sauce was too sweet. The children's steaks were overcooked and dry. However, our steaks were properly cooked to our preference. The fish was excellent with a light creamy sauce on top. The atmosphere would have been 5 stars, however, we were interrupted by a roach climbing up the wall beside us.

Had a very Nice anniversary dinner with my wife, and was treated very well by all the staff, most especially, our waiter Jarvis. He did very well with his personable edict and knowledge of what goes well with whatever you asked. Very enjoyable night.

I threw our first annual Christmas party for work and it was a great success. Ruth's Chris' staff set us up in the Big Easy 1 room which was a great atmosphere. It was elegant enough with a wall full of candles and a long table with plate and glass where and enough room to have a gift exchange game! It was great fun made special by a team of servers: Kayla, Bethany, Jasmine, Luis, Jarvis (didn't know we were graced with his well known presence until afterwards!), David, Israel, Austin, and Akeem. Thank you all for the great night!

The reviews are 100% correct. Jarvis and Jansen are awesome. Jarvis took the time to learn my name and call me by my name each time he stopped by. I had the burger thinking it would be a small burger. It was not! It was delicious and over a half pound. I would definitely recommend. The patio is lovely.

Our server, Beth, was absolutely phenomenal. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, pleasant, and made the experience so comfortable. She suggested a wonderful Pino Grigio , took care of our steak when we wanted it cooked longer (which was ENTIRELY our fault. The restaurant cooked a FLAWLESS medium rare, turns out we just decided we preferred a medium at that moment) and she was so accommodating. The Caesar salad was creamy and delicious, the bread was some of the most moist, crisp, and tasty I’ve had, the stuffed chicken and filet were flavorful and cooked to perfection, the potatoes (au gratin and garlic mashed) were indescribably amazing, and the cheesecake literally made me feel like Remy from Ratatouille when he was seeing color explosions in his head from how incredible the flavors were. The manager, (whose name I forget because I’m horrible at names so I’m sorry), even came by to check on how our service/food was. Over all, one of the best, if not THE best service/food/dining experience I’ve EVER had.

Amazing experience tonight! Jarvis and Michael were incredible to deal with. Attentive without being intrusive or pushy. Offered excellent suggestions and shared some great knowledge with us. Really had a great time and a fantastic dinner. Highly recommend not only Ruth Chris’s but the serving team of Jarvis and Michael. Great way to kick off our trip to San Antonio. Thanks for a great night! PS I had the petite filets with shrimp as my meal but we had so much more! Brussels Sprouts, Garlic Mashed and the Lobster Mac and Cheese (out of this world!) The crab cake and BBQ shrimp were excellent apps and the berries and cream for dessert- all fantastic and I don’t need to eat for a week!

My boyfriend and I had reservations for our 3 year anniversary. Let me say, this is the most professional, enjoyable, and memorable dining experiences I’ve ever had. We show up (early) for our reservation, our table is sprinkled with small hearts and a candle is lit. The ambiance is very romantic, and our server Jarvis was phenomenal. Knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant, food recommendations, and paced our meal over the span of about an hour and 45 minutes. A very talented human being that I cannot say enough good things about. Definitely has a natural talent for service. The food was amazing. The caesar salads were fresh, the shrimp voodoo was delicious. I had the petite filet and the boyfriend had the Cowboy Ribeye, both juicy, doused in butter, and quite honestly the best steak we have ever had. Had a couple rounds of cocktails that were superb, the potatoes au gratin and lobster mac were delectable, and to top it off we had complimentary cheesecakes to celebrate. A wonderful experience made by wonderful food and people.

Great steakhouse downtown, and on the riverwalk. Pretty much everything we ordered was delicious, and the mixed drinks were great as well. Our server was awesome! While everything was very good, they are quite pricey, so prepare for a bill that matches the cuisine.
