I had been wanting to visit King Ranch Saddle Shop since seeing it in one of the Texas travel shows. They didn’t open until 10am so I killed some time walking around town and it definitely wasn’t worth the wait. The quality of items was average compared to other western shops and I was disappointed to see so many imported items. There are family run US businesses selling much higher quality leather goods at a much lower cost. I expected the King Ranch name and logo to command a higher price, but I think this is excessive. I most definitely wouldn’t waste time going back and certainly wouldn’t recommend making a special trip like I did.

The shop saddle making is the central focus of the store. You could purchase boots, hats, shirts, etc. In a western style.

Love coming here. Just love the smell of leather and all the great items and gift ideas. Picked up a few gifts for the family while passing through. Honestly one of my favorite stops.

A well laid out retail shop with taxidermy and animal inspired furnishings. The dressing rooms are the tidiest I've ever seen. The staff were ever present, helpful and not pushy. The items for sale were top of the line goods. No bargains here, but the best King Ranch has to offer. I'm glad I stopped in!

A great place to browse. Super cool stuff. Highly expensive. Um, no real saddle selection to speak of and no tack. This is an extravagant gift shop! Right in the heart of historic downtown Kingsville.

A fun and "wild" place to be! So many neat things about the Saddle Shop--atmosphere is amazing. Permanent and pertinent decor is so fun. Nice to see a few more things 'Made in the USA' (not always the case but should be for a shop--and prices--like this.) Glad for this! A fun place and so unique!

I have shopped here every year on an annual trip for over 10 years. I've purchased clothing, purses, wallets, hats and boots. I went in today and pointed out a mismarked purse and asked for the marked price. They did not honor the price, as marked. I was surprised at their lack of customer service. This was a first for me.

As soon as I walked through the door, the first thing I noticed was that wonderful aroma - Fresh Leather! KRSS has a great selection of a wide variety of clothing and accessories, hats and boots! Miranda answered a few questions for us and she was very helpful. We had a great conversation with her. Then we picked up a couple of their catalogs and found a very good article explaining how the King Ranch has always been "committed to sustainable agriculture not simply because (they) support it, but because (they) live it every day." This was no surprise to me, because I've felt the impact of the King Ranch influence since 1984, when I lived in Kingsville. Since then I've been intrigued by history and leadership, I'm fairly certain they are fulfilling the vision and dream of Captain Richard King nearly 175 years since he founded the King Ranch. Well done.

Valley Girls have visited Kingsville several times first time to the store. Staff is down to earth friendly and helpful, and if needed they will model or assist you in buying the correct size

Great place to shop for gifts for someone or yourself. You gotta love the smell of leather when you walk in. We always look forward in getting the catalog by mail and they always have one in the store for you to shop from. The coffee is amazing if you get the chance. We look forward in going back again soon.

You have to stop !! Where do I start , the smell of leather , the quality merch , the feeling of a kid at a candy store !!!! It’s a little pricy but worth it .

This store is extremely unique. Very busy and I defiantly would make sure I come back next time I'm in town.

They do not reimburse shipping so I paid $17 to receive item, then $25 to ship back because they sent me boots that literally look like a kid took sandpaper to some parts of them to call it “distressed” leather. $42 to waste my time. Depressing. And order a size up if you still proceed. I wanted to like them and swap but have a feeling this will happen again and I’ll just be out ~$80 and trips to FedEx.

They seem to have switched production companies cause a lot of the products seem like they are made with cheaper materials. Still a good selection, but materials aren't what they use to be.

I can't tell if I was underdressed and not trusted to hold something or if the staff is just really in the ball, but they were very friendly and offered to take things to the counter for us and very patient with our indecisiveness. Very cool place for a bougie gift or see some very quality saddles being made.

Everything was beautiful and excellent customer service, had alot of help picking up the items my husband was going to purchase, first time we had been there, great experience.

Brand logo that saddle shop is known for completely different. Change in this case is not good . Employee walked around me as if I were going to steal the Walmart knock of product saddle shop now has. This is also main reason for this bad and honest review.

Excellent website and collections of King Ranch Official Saddles and everything country. I used to get to visit the Ranch when I was young, with our friends Steve and Laura Cavazos. I loved getting to visit the huge Quarter Horses. Many people don't know that The King Ranch had a TRIPLE CROWN WINNER "ASSAULT".

The pricing is a little high but for the high quality items it’s worth it. They have many different items there and you can custom order them. They have wallets, a full variety of luggage, items for your desk, belts, hats and glasses for drinking, along with many other items. Some of their items you can get you initials put on for free. Overall I would highly recommend them if you want to get a gift or some high quality furniture.
