Honestly, I don't ask for much. I ask for a room that's clean. Beds that aren't made of rock. A bathroom that works. And service that makes the visit pleasant. I don't think I got a single one of those things during my stay. The lady behind the desk was rude, monotone, and was no help. The pool was shut down which was going to the hotels only saving grace. Thankfully they let us cancel our second night without any fees and we left town. That's how bad it was. Next year when we visit, will definitely book a hotel elsewhere.

We are here in Rio Rancho to bring my father for chemo. Have been staying 3 days every 21 days at this hotel and we have enjoyed it. General manager is an awesome she is so friendly as is all her staff. If you find yourself in the area I highly recommend this hotel rooms are clean beds comfortable.

Hotel website advertised free hot breakfast. They did have hot water if that qualifies. No eggs, no meat, no potatoes. Continental breakfast was not stocked well with food, most items were out. The juice and coffee was good. No elevator, no pool. Room is small. This place is overpriced.

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was REALLY small. The breakfast was good and served later than advertised, which was nice. Drawbacks... 1) Although the ad says pool, the pool has actually been closed for 3 years. So disappointed. 2) No elevator and had to drag suitcases up to the 2nd floor. May stay here again after renovations are complete.

The king size bed was fantastic. I slept as if I were at home. 5 pillows of various softness. I found my goldilocks pillow. My new place to stay in Rio!

There are not many choices that are affordable in Rio Ranch. I regularly stay at this Quality Inn, the rooms are always clean and has nice towels and linens. The room I had for this trip needed new lamp shades pretty bad. The lounging chair that is in the double queen was in like new condition. A real treat thank you. ❤️The painter does a near perfect job in these rooms. Its been years since the pool and hot tub were open. That would definetly make the room more worth the cost.

Perfect for staying in Rio rancho, the room was mostly Clean. Quick and easy check in/out. Property was a bit run down. Pool was closed and the only hot item for breakfast was a waffle thin walls if you wonder what your neighbors are up too....

I do not ask for unreasonable accommodations when I stay at a motel. I am just wanting the basics to be covered. One of these basics is having hot water in my room. Another is that the room be reasonably clean. Neither of these two expectations were met. When we complained that there was no hot water, the manager did absolutely nothing to correct this, such as putting us in a different room. We brought our small dog with us, so naturally we were happy to pay an additional pet fee. However, a third issue arose: the room had slick wood flooring. It was quite dangerous for our little dog to jump off the bed, as he would skid and his legs came out from under him. Finally, their "Continental Breakfast" was a joke, with no meat or potatoes, just bread, juice and coffee. It seems to me that the owners of this Quality Inn have not maintained the property adequately enough... perhaps they are letting it go to seed on purpose because they do not want to put any money into its upkeep?

This place was ok for the money for the rooms, they have to work on a few things. To start if you're going to a place that has a pool it should be working. We have all been with a company that has to get a budget together to fix things but they need to work on that first. Second was security, as I work for a security company, the Entry doors upstairs were unlocked and not secure. Also, the steps going downstairs were chipping and that should be a top issue that's resolved. My father almost fell down the stairs and there is no elevator. NO ELEVATOR WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN WHEN I LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE!! The staff was great on customer service except for the guy we encountered when we got there. He had bad communication. The free breakfast was interesting, made a waffle. It was an interesting experience

The “hot breakfast” is a waffle you make. I stayed in a Choice Hotel in tiny Tucumcari, NM and they had a nicer selection of food AND they had sausage, eggs, and potatoes. Coffee is very watered down. Staff is friendly. I stayed two nights here. The price should be in the $50-$80 range IMO. This place is dated and for what they’re asking it doesn’t match. The pool is broken and the hotel is under renovation. In two different rooms the AC units sound like there is an animal scurrying around inside it when it’s operating. You eventually get used to the noise. Find somewhere else to stay.

Has to be the worst quality inn I’ve ever been too. Then entire hotel stinks. The room stunk like vinegar. The blankets and towels were OBVIOUSLY washed with no detergent or fabric softener. Both vending machines take your money and the pool is absolutely trashed and not in use. By far the worst quality inn I’ve ever stayed at.

Room is very small but clean. The bathroom is tiny. Swimming pool is closed due to COVID?? No weight room. The breakfast was good. The man who checked us in was very nice. Oh, the elevator isn't working so you'll have to haul everything upstairs.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The property is an older property but was well kept. All in all, this was a good stay.

Writing this at 300am from my car. Supposed to stay 2 nights, but likely driving home after the funeral we came to ABQ for today. Place is a dump. Beds are horrendously old and uncomfortable. The AC unit is loud. This is my second terrible stay with the Choice Hotel brand in 6 months. I am done with them as a whole. Their loyalty program isn't worth it and their hotels are always old and lacking.

Older property that could stand some updating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was unavailable because of renovations - staff offered a pass to the fitness center/pool next door as an alternative.

Comfortable bed and pillows. Barely enough for him to get around, but that's how hotel rooms are these days. The bathroom and toilet are claustrophobically small. Nice staff ACCESSIBILITY good: front desk, parking

Is an old Hotel. Hard to find. But room was quiet and had the features needed. Pool was closed - darn. Breakfast was good - normal for these places.

Could use some sprucing up. The breakfast was not very good. They have a good size room but not serving a hot breakfast. Most places are. We stayed at another place for close to the same price and had more than we expected.

Meh. There is a ligh out in the bathroom and the AC sounds like it is on its last legs. Elevator is out, they moved us to a ground floor room, which we appreciated. Was really looking forward to the pool after a long, hot day of driving. Sadly, the pool is out of commission. Bed is good, room seems clean.

The room was pretty good, nothing fancy but in good condition with a fairly comfortable bed. It's definitely an older place and could use an upgrade as there is no elevator and the halls were dirty looking. The desk agent wasn't very knowledgeable and spent most of his time on his phone. The Morning desk agent was very helpful and friendly! Both their pool and hottub were closed. I honestly expected better for Rio Rancho. Doubt I would stay there again and there price is too high for what you get.

My husband and I booked a room for 2 nights with 1 guest. It was a mistake on our part. I called around 4 am a gentleman answered the phone he didn't give his name. I told him we made a mistake and only needed 1 night with 2 people. He told me he would make a note of it. We got in around 1230 asked if we could check in early they said no so we had to wait until 3 pm for the scheduled check in. Luckily its got a lot of shopping hubs near by so we just wasted time. When we finally got to check in the lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful but she wasn't aware that we modified our stay. Glad we asked. When we got into the hotel room there was old food in our fridge. It was gross like ot had been in there awhile. The pool was closed but they gave us these passes to go to the Defined fitness gym and use their pool. All in all it was an okay stay but I don't think we'd stay again.
