An excellent park to do anything and everything. From relaxing to fun activities. Bike hiring available but remember to bring your id and it closes (the bike place) at 1:30 on Sundays for siesta and reopens at 4-5pm but check the web for the exact details. Also if your meeting someone or a group be sure which side of the park your meeting, it can take ages to cross the park, unless you have loads of time

This park is amazing to go and have some exercise, do a picnic or just to lay down and have some rest. You can go and fish or see wild rabits. It’s excellent if you have kids because it has a lot of different playgrounds.

This park is huge and offers a variety of outdoor activities, rental bicycles, scenic picnic spots, an artificial lake with ducks to feed or celebrate a birthday outdoors for change !

My favourite place in Madrid! Very big and nice park, with artificial lakes and rivers, hill to watch stars, plenty of playgrounds for children, small botanical garden, spaces for picnic or even fishing... You can borrow bikes there as well, plus its full of sculptures and art in surprising places! Everytime I go I discover something new, really love this place and prefer it over Retiro - in Juan Carlos it never gets too crowded.

One of the most beautiful parks I have ever been to. It is large enough and clean enough to give it five stars. I visited this place in the spring and I felt good. Thanks for having me. Thumbs up for Juan Carlos I Park.

Amplio horario.

Very nice and huge park, with a lot of olive trees, canals and fountains, places for children, interesting sculptures, big and small roads to walk and hills to observe the territory. One of the best park in Madrid, surely!

Nice walk in a park with an unique design. Is quite big and there's a tourist train to help you move around and see the whole park. There are bike trails and is reachable by subway. Also from the park you can enjoy the view at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

I haven't spent too much time here but as a stop over before or after a flight it seems a great place to go to. Huge size, water elements, toilets and a mixture of sun and shade. Saw people walking their dogs and whole school classes in their breaks. Great stuff.

Wonderful park. For me this is one of the most beautiful parks I know and in my opinion probably the best of Madrid (and Madrid has many nice ones to offer). The different landscapes and also the combination with the water amazed me.

A perfect location to enjoy a day in the park with children or your dog ! Picnic tables are available in some parts .

The initial impression I got was that the park was very artificial, but. I found out it was only built in 1992 hence why. The facilities though are excellent, plenty of room for people to walk, run, cycle and rollerblade. There's also canoeing or kayaking and fishing there so overall a great local facility.

  • 4/5 Sam G. 2 months ago on Google • 9 reviews New
It's big. It's got some amazing features, beautiful landscapes e.g. the olive grove and is bike-friendly. You should definitely go there if you've just landed in Barajas. However, lacking in benches/tables.

What a beautiful, large, and scenic park to visit for the day with friends, family, dogs, or alone. The park is well looked after and regardless of how busy the many car parks look there is always a quiet spot to get away from any crowds. Lots of parks for kids and a big dog park. Be sure to check out the turtles in the lake

Great place to go and have a lazy day!! Incredible art installations... And lots of space!! The ride is a bit long from the center but we'll worth it! ... Not many places around to buy food or water so be prepared! There are also Renta bikes to get around the park (a bit old but mostly they work)

Parque amplio y bien cuidado.

The people of Madrid, like hiding their amazing gems, well the secret is out, I love the Retiro Park, but I am sorry I love the Juan Carlos 1 Park more, this is like heaven on earth. It continually offers surprises both visually and emotionally.. This is a park where time ebbs away so fast, 6hrs seem like 5mins as one is immersed constantly in its wonder. Different places to sit, walk enjoy the surrounding views of the landscape and at the same time have a visual dialogue with the background of the city as one scoffs a massive bocadillo, washing it down with some cold ceverca. This place is just amazing and I am releasing this secret to the world. Go and explore. Easy to get to, plenty of parking space too.

Great place to spend the day. Take your own stuff to have a pleasant picnic. It's a modern park. It has many things to explore and see. It's a large park and may take you more than one visit to see it all. You may have to wait a while if you want to go to the washroom. They're self-sanitised but the procedure is slow. So, be patient.

Pretty large and multi use oriented. Still, even though there are many areas that are monoculture plantings, there was enough edge habitat for us to bird in and through.

Lovely place to kill time, especially if you are waiting on a flight! Very close to metro station to get you to the airport so if you are bored during the day waiting I recommend dropping by here!
