Went into LH for the first time this past weekend. Beautiful store with lots of unique jewelry - new and vintage. While I thought my husband and I were just window shopping we ended up leaving with a gorgeous gold and diamond bracelet for me that I absolutely love! Our salesperson Logan was great. She greeted us when we arrived and gave us time to look around before checking on us. She was not pushy at all and you could tell she just wanted us to enjoy our time in the store. My Rolex Yacht Master had stopped keeping time, it’s about 15 years old so I figured it was probably time for service. I called a few places, but Leo Hamels quick response in answering my questions over the phone sold me on going in. At the store I was met with Shane. He was real knowledgeable and gave me clear expectations on how long it would take to get an estimate and the time it would take to perform the proper service that it needed. He told me that it would look as good as new when I picked it up. I really didn’t expect to see much of a difference, but upon picking it up I was so surprised on how clean clean it looked! I highly recommend them. The gave me a detailed invoice of what was performed and it was all done in a timely manner.

This store and everything about it is AMAZING. I purchased an engagement ring from here and could not be happier. I originally planned on purchasing an engagement ring through a vendor that is mostly online, but I am so glad I didn't because Leo Hamel has so much more to offer. Maggie and Logan helped me pick out the perfect ring at a great cost. Logan was able to answer every single questions I had (I'm an engineer so there was a lot) and answer questions that I didn't even know I had. She showed me an entire case full of settings that matched the exact style I was looking for and spent so much time showing and explaining the difference between diamonds. That is something you must see in person (not online)! I eventually landed upon a vintage setting with a 2.1qt lab grown diamond. I was able to finance half of the cost (although I could have done more) with 0% APR for a year. Logan and Maggie then provided me steps on how to properly insure the ring and my complete ring was ready a week after my purchase. When I picked up the completed ring, I was provided with multiple cases that would ease the proposal and next steps after the proposal (wedding bands, cleaning/caring, etc...). I cannot express how happy I am with my experience here. If you are looking for an engagement ring, this is the place.

Placing order for grocery delivery and then claiming items are missing just to get a refund is scum!! Jeopardizing a hard honest persons job just to get refunded a couple of bucks really?? LEO!!! After doing some research with multiple grocery delivery shoppers theyhave experienced similar claims from this customer it’s is so unfair the shoppers face repercussions from fraudulent claims like this and make less money or have less shopping opportunities to make money. I guess you haven’t and will never learn your lesson Once a hustling thief always a hustling thief!!!

Simply the best! I celebrated a milestone birthday last month reaching my 60th birthday. That was extra special since on my 30th I purchased my first Rolex from Leo Hamel Fine Jewelers. I have been a customer for 30 years and have treated myself and others to some very nice watches and jewelry of the highest quality and value available at the time. I have been able to share with my wife, goddaughters and others so many nice things for which I’m grateful. Through the years Leo Hamel has been my one and only go to jeweler who has shared in so many of my life’s celebrations. I’m decades older now, but those treasures from Leo Hamel have not lost any of their shine proving to be real heirlooms that will be enjoyed for decades to come. Tina Turner said it best 30 years ago when I bought my first Rolex, “Simply the best, better than all the rest!”

Bianca helped me redesign my engagement ring into a new setting. I love it, it’s gorgeous! She is very knowledgeable and professional.

Short story: I was told they'd inspect my watch prior to doing a repair so I didn't waste my money. 15 minutes after picking it up it stopped ticking, apparently there had been a miscommunication about what an inspection consisted of, however the repair department was accommodating and helped remediate the situation! Overall the entire staff was extremely courteous and professional and I would work with them again in the future. The long story: I brought in my timepiece on which the crystal had fallen out to have the crystal reinstalled. They quoted me an amount which was on the upper end of what I was willing to spend to repair it, but I like the watch so I did. I was informed that there was concern about it keeping time properly, but they would test it and let me know before proceeding with the reinstallation. Additionally they were not able to work on the movement for what I assume are legal, liability reasons. A few days later they called and told me it was about a minute slow, but otherwise working, which was fine by me so I had them reinstall it. The next week I picked it up and it was working. No more than 15 minutes later it no longer ticked whatsoever, regardless of position or winding. Naturally I was upset having spent what was a substantial amount of money to me that I would not have spent if I had known the watch would stop ticking completely after 15 minutes. However, after explaining my situation, they were very accommodating and helped me to resolve the situation.

My family has been a customer of Leo Hamel’s for 20+ years and my now fiancé followed suit by buying my engagement ring from here and I could not be more thrilled with the result! Lisa is highly knowledgeable and had a ring custom made for me with exactly the band and diamond I wanted and managed to do it on a constricted timeline. The customer service is outstanding and their prices cannot be beat. I would highly recommend Leo Hamel’s to anyone looking for an engagement ring or other fine jewelry.

Leo Hamel and Logan specifically saved our trip to San Diego. My now fiancée planned the trip to propose, and our jeweler back in Austin did not get a stone in time despite having plenty of advance notice. The plan was going to be called off, but luckily we looked up jewelers in town and found Leo Hamel. We decided to go and just look, but Logan made my ring dreams come true and we got to get engaged on the trip. Even with low inventory of lab grown diamonds, she managed to find a very unique setting that I loved and trade the stone out for a better quality diamond she searched out. She even stayed after close to get the stone changed out and met us down the street to give us our perfect ring. All in all, I’m glad everything happened how it did because I got my perfect ring from a family shop, and I couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend this jeweler!

I *highly* recommend Leo Hamel Fine Jewelry & Engagement Rings Store. I visited this store to co-design my engagement ring with my boyfriend and I was greeted with friendly faces (and presumably smiles under all their masks!). All COVID restrictions were strictly adhered to, which made us feel safe as we started our journey. Maggie introduced herself and encouraged us to browse through the displays. Once we had gotten a good picture of what the store has to offer (wow, so much!), Bianca began helping us design the ring! We had called in advance and Bianca made sure to have certain center stones in, already there for us and they were all stunning. I wasn't sure how to choose which one, and then she whipped out an open setting (exactly the one I described I wanted), and she laid the diamonds down in the setting so I could slip it on my finger and see what it would look like as an engagement ring. This made it so much easier to choose which center stone we wanted, and allowed us to truly appreciate the stone. She then had me try on bands, and I immediately fell in love. Financing everything was so simple, and we were able to get the ring and band at no interest for 12 months! The price was so appealing for all that we are receiving. I took my mother‘a ring in because a stone fell out. I was nervous because my mother passed and I had never have had a family heirloom before. They were so nice and helped me every step of the way. I decided that the cost to have the ring fixed was to costly and decided to have the stones placed in a new setting that was more modern and my taste. I was blown away by the level of help I received. I looked at many settings to keep the shape similar to my mothers ring and in the end went with a version that was a beautiful compromise. They will definitely be where I purchase my anniversary and birthday gifts in the future (hint hint to my hubby) 😜

After learning a little about how to tell a good diamond from a not so good one I went shopping around to some of San Diego’s most recognized jewelers as well as some not so recognized. I was sad to learn that many jewelers tried to sell me low quality products if they thought I didn’t know much about jewelry. Only after I displayed some knowledge, which I was at least a little then they showed me higher quality products, at a higher price of course. The whole experience left me suspicious and worried about getting ripped off on something they knew more about than I did. I felt like a sitting duck because I actually needed this ring. Not Leo. He was my last stop but I wished was the first. There I was shown high quality diamonds with certification paperwork in my price range that was better than the quality I found anywhere else the first time. I felt so comfortable after learning they were straight shooters that I became a customer for life. I have now done business with Leo Hamel going back 25-years to his first location in North Park, (now I go the Old Town Location), where I purchased very nice Diamond Engagement Ring. You don’t need a degree in gemology to shop there because you can trust them and the prices are fair. That’s good business and why he has a thriving business today 25-Years later.
