Nice sea, but not recommended for children, and honestly neither for those who are looking for some shade, as there are just few huts along the beach. And the surrounding area is covered in dust, which you are going to breath full time here. Definitely not a blue zone, not an healthy air, especially for children, and the most paradoxical thing is how overpriced all the area is. Honestly to me looks like a lot of unreasonable hype which is beneficial just for the few property managers who are riding the wave cashing in. Been traveling for 8 years in a row, circumnavigating the world, and there are places way nicer and healthier, and they are going to cost you 1/5. The best part is, you don't need to go too far from here to find them. Just sharing my experience as a long term traveler.

This is one of the best beaches in Costa Rica with a long beach about 5 Km long. You could walk from side to side to explore the beautiful views. This is probably one of the best surfing spots in the Pacific coast, suitable for those who want to rent a long board and start practicing the surfing, but the place is good for beginners and experts. There are some main entrances to the beach, the most popular near to the town Nosara. Even though many people visit this beach, this is a clean place and well maintained. There are recycling and disposal bins in the main entrances, probably not big enough for the high seasons. You may have to consider that there are no public restrooms, but still the place is recommended.

Beautiful place. The surf is fantastic. The food is great. The locals are friendly. It doesn't have a over-the-top reckless party vibe and is family friendly. It is chill and a great place to learn some Spanish and unwind.

Definition of Pura Vida would best describe this beach. You can rent surfboards nearby or just bring a towel to lay on. Breathtaking sunsets in the evening. We had a bonfire at night. Enjoy the moment because it will soon be a memory.

Love this place. 15 minutes drive from Nosara. Local people, fisherman and beautiful sand.

Fantastic place for learning to surf. The waves are popular, i.e. crowded, but with our awesome instructors it was no issue.. several huts for shade but otherwise bring an umbrella/tent to avoid the sun. Amazingly clean. Incredibly soft sand.

One of the most beautiful Beaches in Costa Rica. Very large and long sand beach with tide pools at the Southern side. Great for surfing.

This beach is one of the main reasons Nosara has become a world famous destination. It is huge, wide and the consistent waves make it very popular for new surfers as well as experienced ones.

Very pretty beach, lots of great sand and great for surfing. Shallow for quite a ways out. Easy to access by the main road with minimal walking.

It was beautiful on this beach. Water was warm Pacific as you should expect. Looked like there were a number of people learning to surf. Plenty of beach to find a spot to sit. Nosara shops and cafes near to the main entrance where we got dropped by the shuttle we took from our hotel farther up on the hill.
