The hotel. Services is fantastic but the issue of electricity going off for more than 5mins is risky to lodgers who are having heart issues .lift traps lodgers and they can faint .there is need to set up automatic power change for this purpose. and trapped in the lift. This is a high risk to lodgers .

My current stay at Ibis Cotonou has been highly dissatisfactory. I am one week into a two-week stay,, and the hotel has exceeded my already low expectations. I returned to my room to find that my key card was no longer functioning. I assumed I placed it too close to my phone,, and after several attempts to reauthenticate it at the front desk, it was determined that the sensor at the room door had malfunctioned. I was locked out of my room for nearly three hours as technicians tried to fix the sensor. Eventually, the sensor and knob had to be removed completely. During this three-hour time period, I was never offered a beverage or something to eat for the inconvenience or any other gesture of good faith. This lack of respect and acknowledgment of the inconvenience that this caused would not occur at the other two hotels nearby (who, unfortunately, are fully booked). This is highly unacceptable and not how you treat guests staying in your establishment. Additionally, during the first few days of my stay, the staff that I encountered at reception has graciously microwaved leftovers for me at night when I am in my room working late. However, during another night of late hours, I politely asked the woman downstairs if she could reheat my lunch for me as I was starving,, and she rudely told me it was not allowed. I told her that other staff members had been offering me the courtesy of doing so,, and she again rudely dismissed me and told me she would not do it because it is forbidden. I believe at the bare minimum; staff should treat guests with respect when guests approach them with respect. Furthermore, due to the sensor in my old room malfunctioning, I was placed in a new room. I woke up the next day sweating because my air conditioner was blowing warm air. This was mentioned to the front desk,, and corrective action has not been taken. Once again, nothing has been offered to me for my continued inconvenience during my stay, not even an apology. I am highly appalled and disgusted at this establishment's quality of customer service, the lack of respect for guests, and the lack of etiquette displayed. If other hotels were available, I would gladly forfeit my money and go elsewhere. I would not recommend Ibis Hotel to anyone; please book your stay in advance and go elsewhere.

The hotel is convenient to the US Embassy , ( walking distance) has a free airport shuttle, had a breakfast buffet that was ok. The rooms were ok, not luxury but good beds and quiet. There is a little bar but no restaurant after breakfast. For later meals you had to go next door to the Novotel.

The room is very small. Most of the staff are not good in English, just French they know. Their food is not impressive at all. I feel they are overpriced. But the scenery is alright. But scenery shouldn't be everything.

The staff was helpful and trustworthy. I left my favorite coffee mug in the restaurant and they kept it for me. Wonderful beds too! Very clean.

Spent 7 days with my children at the hotel and it was an awesome experience. My children usually look forward to the breakfast moment 😂😂😂 me too. Cos we enjoyed that part of our stay there. Environment is very cool. Love that everyone was warm. We are Nigerians and we just understand few words in French but every staff made us feel at home. My children were always excited when stepping out of our rooms because they will surely find a staff member who wants to talk to them at one point or the other 😂 The rooms, though a bit small (who cares tho? ) very cozy and we totally love the bathrooms 🤗🤗 The front desk person was always helpful with money changing and he was bery straightforward and Pleasant. We had a different arrangement to stay in another top hotel before leaving Nigeria but when we got there, Ibiz hotel got us fascinated. Cheaper rates, serene environment and super staff. Well done guys!

It’s not best but can expect hygienic rooms with good wifi and AC. Rooms are bit congested. For single person stay is good. Not fit for double occupancy.

Ordinary water is a big issue here, not international by service delivery, no kettles, heaters , cups or spoons in the rooms. What a blunder. Not everyone drinks cold water/ drinks

Very clean modern rooms, comfortable beds, but I miss a boiler. A complementary bottle of water costs 50c will not cost the hotel much I think - it makes a big difference given there are no supermarkets in the area

In terms of rooms - you get what you pay for => typical very simple Ibis lay out, nothing fancy but also doesn't hurt if you want to go cheaper way. But they could definitely improve their services - front desk staff can be unfriendly and it'd roll their eyes when you ask them for second towel (they only provide one even if you are 2 guests) or won't bother to give you sufficient check in information. We stayed 4 nights and breakfast supplies have been empty every morning - we had to ask staff to refill multiple times.

All one expects from an Ibis hotel. Clean, efficient. The presence of Novotel next door is an asset as one can use the facilities.

Nice hotel...staff could be a bit more courteous and helpful. We carried out bags to our rooms without any offer of help whatsoever...not good. Other than that our stay was pleasant, food was good and hotel location is ideal. Swimming pool had far too much chlorine in it and my eyes were bloodshot by the time I finished swimming.

This hotel is situated in a very beautiful place, good food and good location. Only down side is staffs are really not helpful and one gets to lose that sense of hospitality! Price is also on the high side. It can rank among top 10 hotels in Benin!

Good basic hotel with breakfast. You can control the AC and has a mini fridge to keep your water cold.

Well the Hotel is good just as the other Ibis but as someone who have stayed in other Ibis, I feel the Ibis Cotonou needs to work on their Breakfast menu as they serve multiple nationals and have some good selection of meals. The only amazing thing was the customer service of Sylvie who checks on us how we we enjoying our meals. She is doing a amazing job making guest feel happy and calm. Kudos to her!!

Had a great stay here. The rooms were super comfortable and the staff were very helpful, especially Sylvia and Narish. I’m not a French speaker person but they made sure I was able to have a great stay in Cotonou. I will definitely be back.

It's an old property and the age is starting to show. Worn out furniture and bath fittings leave a very bad impression. Not expected from a brand like Accor. Also, they need more people at the hotel who can speak English.

Great hotel. Very well located (security), next to ministerial area. Really nice staff. Quite nice services.

The staff are very friendly. The hotel covers all the basics that one could need. No fancy bells and wistles. Very clean and inviting. The breakfast gets a little borring after about 2 weeks, but that's OK. I always stay at the ibis when I am in Cotonou.
