A very beautiful, clean and serene beach resort. They serve delicious chicken and chips. They serve complimentary breakfast. Staffs are very efficient. The hostname is Marco and he's also a great host. I highly recommend Tahiti.

Quaint hotel by the ocean in the center of Cotonou. The hotel rooms are not super luxurious, but it does have air conditioning in the room I rented. The seaside location, restaurant and helpful staff make for a pleasant stay. None of the meals are included, so you will incur added charges daily - so be aware.

Our experience with Tahiti was quite interesting. After having made our reservation on booking.com, and a few back and forths with the manager when we changed our rooms due to a change in our travel party, we got a message from the manager who assured us of our rooms and so we were good to go! Arriving there we realised that the entire beach was cordoned off due to construction of a road, on the beachfront literally behind the hotel, meaning that there is zero access to the beach. Well, when we proceeded to try and check in there appeared to be some confusion because although they had our name and our booking, apparently the booking had been cancelled. This was all very confusing and upsetting especially after having completed a long journey to get to Benin. When we enquired further it turned out that the manager decided to cancel it and didn't even bother to inform us. The front desk staff seemed quite confused themselves and were apologetic. They called the manager multiple times however he didn't pick up any of the calls, but eventually the assistant manager showed up. This is where things got worse. When we pointed out how unprofessional it was to cancel a booking without even informing us he proceeded to get very offended, saying that it wasn't his fault. It was quite surreal. All in all, it was an experience I hope never to have again.

Friendly staff. They were quite helpful. The rooms were not nice at all. I had to specially request for hot water to be brought to my room. Lovely breakfast. Nice view and friendly host.

They try to charge me for items not available on the menu. They overcharge the final bill adding all the side dishes that supposed to be included with the sun courses.Only few things are available from the big menu. The sunbeds are dirty and nobody came to clean it despite the high price of the pool entry.Poor service -greedy staff

We went for two weeks to Cotonou and stayed at the Tahiti Hotel in Rooms 11 and 12 which were double rooms connected by a door, each with en suite facilities. The hotel is in a gorgeous position, so near to the sea that it can be heard all the time! The eastern side of Cotonou was hardly mentioned in our guidebook, but we found nearby cafes. restaurants, pharmacies and shops. We would recommend that you look closely at Google Map to see how nice the position of this hotel is! Cotonou's transport is heavily motorbike reliant, with a handful of taxis and 250,000 motorcycles! The motorcylists for hire have a yellow bib with a number on the back. CFA200-300 for a short ride and CFA 500 for a longer ride [£1 = CFA750]. They can be hired near the hotel. The complementary breakfast from 7.30 to 11am was great: fresh french bread, butter, plain or Spanish omelette, as well as cheese triangles, jam and honey, with tea or coffee or hot chocolate. The staff were excellent, and they quickly improved the rooms with supplies of coat hangers, a functioning satellite TV and a side table. The kitchen produced a large and varied high quality menu: from chicken and chips, via pizzas, fahitas and schwarmas to spaghetti bolognese, chicken yassa and steak sandwiches. The food came in generous portions and was fresh and delicious. There was no fridge in the rooms, but very cold fridges were a few metres away in the Reception. You could get water, soft drinks and beer. You could even help yourself and the receptionist just added it to your bill. We paid the daily invoice at the end of the evening and cleared our slate for the next day. The restaurant area had three areas: one slightly 'indoors', one facing the beach and a sandy beach area. An upstairs platform area was being constructed. The swimming pool was a busy area for us! The swimming pool was a little murky at the start, but the active manager got it chemically cleaned. The wifi was strong and well used!

Good Location from where you can see beautiful atlantic ocean. Labanese food is worth trying. Shavarama, falafal, Fattoush (lebanese style vegetarian salad, very healthy). Soothing music is played. They can accept US d if requested.

We arrived at Tahiti Hotel at 3 p.m. on Thursday the 22nd of December, only to discover that the hotel had anulled our reservation. They did not tell us this straight away but pretended that they were sorting out the rooms. When we asked to see the rooms, they showed us 2 tiny dark rooms, only fit for a single person each, and this for **a family of four**! When we queried their totally unprofessional behaviour in annulling the reservation, the attendant tried lying that we had arrived after 4 p.m. when this was patently not the case. She did not repeat this falsehood because it was clearly untenable. What is particularly galling is that the annulment took place after this reassurance on the 25th of NOVEMBER from Tahiti Hotel itself (not Booking.com): Dear Charmaine Pereira, Do not worry about your reservation - consider two bungalows and one double room confirmed. Do not worry about receiving the modification from booking.com - these things may take time, you should receive it in a few days. Kindest regards, Tahiti Hotel Tahiti Hotel added insult to injury by claiming to Booking.com that there was a No-Show on our part. This is simply false. We arrived at Tahiti Hotel at *3 p.m.* - the start of the time slot we had given for arrival (3-4 p.m.). I have never had such atrocious treatment from a hotel in my 50-odd years of travel around the world. I would caution anyone from ever making a reservation with Tahiti Hotel. Charmaine Pereira 6

Literally an amazing and fun Hotel. That's no cap. The area of the hotel is so serene and just so lovely. A pool at the back of the hotel and a beach just around the corner. Lovely views in the morning when you step out to the balcony of your room. Food is so good and service is really nice. Plus, it's all affordable !

The pictures are quite deceptive, it’s a rather small place and there’s literally nothing fun to do asides swimming in the pool that doesn’t even get cleaned daily, sun beds are dirty, cobwebs in the restaurant area. Bedsheets and towels are worn out. The meals I had there were either salty or too dry. The breakfast was very bland, no choice of even the smallest thing like bread, no sausages, I do not recommend this place. The owner is a nice person though but the place definitely needs renovation,
