Though it was a short stay (business visit) but Sun beach Hotel cotonou is worth passing the night especially when you are attended to by one of the most friendly customer service officer/front desk officer, (Kafila by name)she speaks english, the local language & yoruba fluently and always ready to assist to the best of her ability & capability.

I have not stayed in other hotels in Cotonou so I do not know how this compares to the competition, but was generally a good place for a few nights when on a business trip. The rooms are a bit small and dark, and the hotel overall is a bit dated and over decorated but has everything one needs, in terms of restaurant and bars. Also walking distance to a few restaurants and across the street for a drinking spot and a place that sells good pintade braisé (guinea fowl). The hotel needs to look at having a business center, especially since it seems to attract business people.

Well it is an average level hotel. Can't say it is quite bad but can confidently say it would be fine if you are coming for a short stay ( 3 nights for example). Breakfast should be improved alot, actually I couldn't find anything to eat for breakfast but some good pineapple pieces, coffee and tasteless cakes. I have to say that staff is friendly and trying to do their best to improve their performance. I would give it a 3 star hotel rate if I would be generous enough.
