You can't claim to know the history of Benin without this place. It was the capital of Dahomey now Benin. It was the most powerful kingdom and defeat everyone around him. Here have what we call Amazone, it is women who where soldiers and can go defeat the enemy army. They was powerful. This place is wonderful too because of the colonialism history. The kings specially Behanzin fight against colonialism. There is amazing history about this place, just come and visit this place and you will see and hear marvelous things about Benin.

The historical value of the place makes it a highly important station in visiting Benin republic

The country needs to invest in restoration and provide some written brochures in the rich royal history.

Very interesting history. Well organised. Excellent.

Guide spoke good English even though he had never studied it! Also was very happy and excited to explain everything. Everything when it comes to museum is under construction in Benin, so not worth the visits all the time to be honest.. the tour was reduced because the museum is closed and so I think the price is really expensive
