What a fantastic place to walk, run, bicycle! It has been pretty warm lately, but the trail is very tree-lined which provides a fairly dense canopy overhead, yet still lets some breeze through. Since this is a "rails to trails" project, it is a very flat crushed limestone surface which is maintained by volunteers. A small $2 donation is suggested upon entry.

We've walked this trail several times and it's always a pleasure. The trail is nicely maintained and the walk is usually cool since the trees provide shade and block some of the wind too.

Flat, well maintained dirt road. There is shelter and a water fountain by Iowa West Foundation Trailhead Day Park. Couple of cute small towns down the road offer coffee and food. Once a few miles out of town there is barely anyone on the trail.

This has got to be one of the best path bike paths in the country. Certainly in the Greater Omaha metro. So peaceful, and just a great ride. It's had my heart for years now. I just wish it connected better to downtown/ or the MoPac. But with 63 miles of path, it isn't required.

Has paved dirt path and offroad trails throughout. Was very hot but was a great time.

Probably the best light gravel trail in Iowa. It is on the top 10 list of rail to trail for the country. Good parking in Council Bluffs. There is even a ice cream/BBQ restaurant at the head of the trail. The trail is very scenic. If you are in the Omaha area it is definitely worth it.

Love this trail. It is mostly shaded the first 6 miles, we'll kept, with gradual elevation changes.

The trail is well maintained from Council bluffs to Blanchard. Relatively flat.

Just an awesome ride to venture away from the paved roads. No big hills some super slight inclines for certain numbers. Good travel points, and a lot of stop and go back city points ypu can creat for cycling routes.
